Saao:
One Nigeria. When it comes to the time of Adesina akinwumi, we all stood behind him, nobody was against him, same man served under gej, but now it's time for Ngozi, so many negative permutations. Let them be informed that, the people selecting her are not Nigerians, these are great personalities that knew her worth. I'm from middle belt but trust I hate the way Yorubas and others tribe hated igbos for nothing. Until we change our behavior, this country is going no where.
WTO is not AFDB. The comments from Kemi or Kayode has nothing to do with tribalism. They are only stating the obvious challenges. They are not the ones to vote. And their comments can't impact her candidacy. If you are familiar with global geopolitics, you will know that USA will stand against her candidacy to avoid another situation like WHO where China cornered the DG of WHO who is an African. South Korea is a USA ally and enemy of China. So, nothing wrong in them warning Nigerians to manage their expectations.

Thats the stock and trade in Lagos State. Tinubu controls and own virtually everything. I know someone who is based in the USA that wanted float a business in Lagos to address a service. He was forced to sell the business to Jaga-
criminal and the guy own a part of it too. He said he no choice. In my case, they claim what am offering to solve, which is a major problem, is Tinubu territory. People loss billions every year in Lagos due to this. These are the demons sitting down on the destiny of Nigerian youths.

'I am really impressed that Covid-19 did not stop them from digging to unveil more mystery and secrets about our great civilisation.'

Your great civilization indeed? Your people are arabs who came into Egypt predominantly via the Arabs invasion. The ancient Egyptians were never your kind. The same way the Greeks and Romans visited Egypt and settled there before they finally took over. Thankfully, Egypt is in Africa and the histories are carefully carved in stones thanks to the foresight of these great people. Or can they burn a wall?
Career › Re: Switzerland Introduces Highest Minimum Wage In The World (₦20.5Million Per Year) by ajl: 3:19pm On Oct 04, 2020
Sarang:
Yes it is. Cost of living in Switzerland is more expensive than cost of living in US and Canada maybe even Australia

Also if you don’t know Quora then you don’t read
Quora is not just any link..
Don't even go there. It depend, so far you avoid cities like Zurich, Geneva or Berne. As far back as the late 90s, a 2-bedroom apartment in relatively smaller city was around 700 Franc. I rented a Studio for just 500 Franc. My monthly income was around 2400 Franc. In the US, if you work at night, you get extra 50 cents per hour. In Swiss, while my colleagues who worked during day time were earning like 11 Franc by hour, I earned around 14-15 Franc per hour for working at night. I remember leaving this job of cleaning McDonald's for construction job with a work agency. My first construction job was on a railway line, constructing new rail lines or replacing old ones, a back breaker. That job was in the night to replace an old rail line before day break. For showing up for the job, right there each person at my level were handed 50 Franc cash per night. This was outside my regular hourly income. It's just for showing up at night for this job. But that night, if I could cry I would have. I could hardly get off my bed the next day. But over time, my body got used to it. By the time I was done with the construction job over 3-4 months, my Nija madam saw me and thought I was into body building. From that construction job, my earning was over 4k Franc per month. But construction jobs like that are for short periods. And imagine, that was with an agency that would have made money off me. Please, don't talk about USA where minimum wage is around $7 per house. America practice extreme capitalism.. Many employers want to put you to work at the minimum cost possible. Most regular folks there have two jobs to survive. Meanwhile I was talking about the late 90s in Swiss. God knows what the minimum wage was in Switzerland then. Once, a relarive who happened to be a white german visited me and saw my income, she was surprised how I earned that high for that kind of work, meaning that pay for such jobs was less even in Germany. Every month, I could put over 1k Franc aside. I had no kids and was not married. My social life was nearly zero aside from occasional runs with girls.

In Australia, it's high income tax they will use to chase you.

Thanks to Switzerland, I was able to raise funds for my Masters degree program in less than 2 yrs, saving over 20k Swiss franc. That was in the late 90s. Boy, I worked like "jack". Few Nigerians were laughing at me for not spending money on clothes/shoes. I just faced my first goal. The income there was generally higher than other parts of Europe. The sad part is that they were/are not welcoming of immigrants. I can't blame them, it's their country. It's probably the cleanest country in the world. The French part was more liberal as they gave temporary immigrants a work permit that could be taken away any time. By the time they took mine away, I already achieved my aim and gladly told them goodbye. The German part was too racist, and never allowed temporary immigrants to work. The Italian part was not so economical buoyant as the French or German part. All in all, I still thanked Switzerland for allowing me reside in their country for the time I did. As an upright and goal oriented Nigerian, I stayed out of trouble. But as usual few of our boys were wrecking havoc.

One of the best we ever had
How old are you? Sixteen or more! I really wanted to curse you but have to stop from doing so because you may not know what you were doing.

The full scale denigration of Nigeria and the foundation of the corruption we are seeing today started with this evil man who admittedly called himself an evil genius, Babangida. Drug use and export was rampant then. He was the one that fooled Nigerians and devalued the Naira after accepting the Structural Adjustment Program from IMF. The saying then was that "if Babangida say good morning to you, go open the window to see if its really morning". This man is one of the major architects of the current state of Nigeria. He and his wife came up with a lot of fraudulent programs to milk the system and use to buy psychophants. If you are playing hard to get, he would offer you a position in an agency like he did to Tai Solarin (sure you never heard of that name before. One of the most upright Nigerians and activist then). If you reject the offer, he would use his network of evil people to secretly deposit money into your bank account and they will call a press conference for you to come explain how you got the money. For example, he tried that with Wole Soyinka, but Soyinka boys in position alerted him before Babangida could do this big damage. He is currently suffering from his actions. I learn one of his legs is rottening. He has been dealing with that leg since he was in power and used to fly to Germany to treat it. Ask him why he never built an hospital back in Nigeria where he could go to fix his leg. He was the grandmaster of corruption. It was during his time that Nigeria dropped off the edge of the cliff.

Fashola! So, it's state government and local government that will provide electricity. Even when states come out with plan to generate enough power to run their states, you will say they should feed it into national grid, as if these parts of the country exist as mugu to other parts that choose to be aimless.

I'm certain wizkid and David are good pals it's just their stupid ikorodu and ojuelegba fans who can't even afford one good square that's always trying to cause a problem where there's none
Healthy competition is good as you said. I remember back in my university days in the 90s, I and my roommate and pal were always competing. Let say I was sleeping in the middle of the night and maybe happen to wakeup and see my pal studying, immediately I would be up too, got my books and got on the table reading. It was quite interesting. It got me a 2-1.

A very cheap and lame response. Does Sowore represent your everyday politicians. Is it not because upright individuals are too scared to join politics that a fearless individual like him decided to get into the ring. Except that Nigerians are lame and docile, and musicians like Burna perfectly reflect this. You are singing revolutionary music but you can't be a revolutionary because it's all for the fame and money. You don't have to protest or get involved physically but don't try to disparage efforts of those who decide to, and put everyone in the same category as your thieving politicians. And who were laughing at Fela when he was alive? Maybe your parents.. You were just a child and knew nothing. People like us knew Fela from childhood and knew he was right all along.

It's important to note that under these proposals, you can still study for a four year degree as a Nigerian but you will have to renew your visa after every 2 years.
How is this racist? Doesn't your FG support and promote killing by Fulani herdsmen that are known as the fourth deadliest terrorist group in the world. And FG called IPOB a terrorist group and clamped down on it but do nothing about terrorist Fulani herdmen. Go and talk to your president.

So, Nigeria the country is made up of baboons and monkeys, not men and women. I also left Nigeria as a grad student and left my wife behind only because I was dead sure she would join me in very few years. She joined me within 2yrs. There was no way I would get marry to a woman and leave her behind without 100% certainty she would be with me in 1 to 2yrs. These men tied the women down with kids and eloped knowing fully well that the chances of their wives joining them is out of their control.

The irony of President Buhari (BUHARI O!!!) Unveiling a logo that says "Together"..
Of all people? Buhari saying staying "Together" to be killed by his Fulani kinsmen. Even I that used to be in support of One Nigeria have come to a point in last few years that it's time to question that Oneness and we go our separate ways. But what I fear most is that it is the same set of crooked politicians like Tinubu and Bode-George and the likes that we'll still be dealing with. Same problem at small scale. But the fact that we would just have a single language called Yoruba as our national language and we would share a border with same people of same culture and history make me shoult loud and clear that "it is time for Odua Republic. The land of the Yoruba people of great and rich history and culture." Nigeria has killed and continue to kill the pride and dream of its people thanks for evil politicians and military men and a largely docile population.

Thank God I am Yoruba. Our saying which is adopted from the Yoruba IFA traditional philosophy is that "a slave is born the same way as a freeborn" (Base b'eru la b'omo).

Those who still believe in treating others among them as slaves would also deserve and continue to be slaves to others.

Forming an association of osus is nothing but inferiority complex.

Traditions remains tradition and can not change because few people feels that one or two things doesn't go their way.

The whole article is nothing but trash and nonsense. The wisdom of our forefathers surpasses that of all these generations.

The gods are wise and their ways unknown to men and for them to stipulate such rules, so shall it.

If you don't like Igbo tradition relocate to yorubaland and change your name to Olaotu or relocate to hausaland and change your name to Kawaii but if you insist on staying in Igboland them you must respect and abide by her traditions...

The tradition makes ndigbo special.
I hope you and your generation are taken as slaves to the middle-east some day. No need to tell you how it will feel because you will have no choice. In fact, the whole Igbo should have been taken as slaves to the Americas.
