2. That our client, only visited Mr. Ibrahim Magu in a Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, sometime in March 2020. Even Magu dey go abroad to get medical treatment. Na for where he get the money? Him salary? Magu the mugun that is taking Nigerians for mugun, just like his superiors. Abi Nigerians are mugun? |
AlabiJ:But Ribadu was never associated with fraud. He was forced out by Jonathan under pressure by Ibori. He was almost assassinated after leaving office. |
DNova:What does this have to do with Nigerians abroad? I am abroad and I go around with a tag on my head that I am Nigerian. And even when I do identify myself as one, I do not carry the burden of misdeeds of very few in a country of 200 million. Don't let them control your mind. |
Jakumo:Where did you learn that Esu is the same thing as the Bible devil. It's one of the age-old lies used by missionaries to demonize traditional African beliefs. In fact the problem started with Bishop Ajayi Crowder who translated the Bible from English to Yoruba. If you understand Yoruba spiritual philosophy very well you will know that Esu is actually not what people portray it to be. Esu has a major role that is even more important than the other Orishas because he is the custodian or bearer of "Ase" as ordained by Olodumare, that every Orisha must go to to obtain "Ase". He is also the Orisha that symbolise justice, acting like the policeman or enforcer of justice. The only contradictory aspect of Esu is the fact that he could be tricky atimes taking negative roles depending on the context. But on the whole, Esu is a benevolent Orisha. The problem of this world are the bad people and malevolent entities or beings they indulge to cause pain and agony among the people of the world. |
SLAP44:Which missionaries are you talking about? The ones that came to impose falsehood and western domination on our people. Guess why everything is upside down in Nigeria inspite of having a church on almost every street. Sure, the three guys are up to no good. Good that they were caught. But don't come here trying to paint missionaries in glowing light. Even the Church of England owned slave plantations and also used that to collect compensation from the British government. |
What's funny in this story are the white colour demonic images. If Jesus is white, so satan and demons are white too, according to this mis-educated young man. I am sure he got all those satanist idea from the internet. He is just an ill-informed "wannabe". |
osamz007:Have pity people. Even if she walked down to perform the cosmetic surgery by herself, it's not a free service. She paid for it and deserve a better service. That so called social media doctor is probably not qualified to perform cosmetic surgery because this is not the first case to go haywire. |
mansakhalifa:Lightning only strike under specific conditions. Its well defined. I used to play outdoor soccer at work during lunch time. We always have someone who is very familiar with conditions for lightning strike on hand among us. Once those conditions are met, we immediately have to leave the pitch. Signs of Lightning Cloud-to-ground lightning is nearby if you notice one or more of these early signs. Seek shelter immediately to reduce the risk of lightning injury or even death. A rapidly growing cumulonimbus cloud. Although cumulonimbus clouds appear bright white and form in sunny skies, don't be fooled—they're the beginning stage of a developing thunderstorm. If you notice them growing taller and taller in the sky, you can rest assured that a storm is in the making and headed your way. Increasing winds and a darkening sky. These are telltale signs of an approaching storm. Audible thunder. Thunder is the sound created by lightning, so if thunder can be heard, lightning is near. You can determine how near (in miles) by counting the number of seconds between a flash of lightning and a thunderclap and dividing that number by five. A severe thunderstorm warning. The National Weather Service issues a severe thunderstorm warning whenever severe storms have been detected on weather radar or confirmed by storm spotters. Cloud-to-ground lightning is often the main threat of such storms. https://www.thoughtco.com/lightning-warning-signs-3444259 |
kbrisco:Don't even mention that woman. She was corruption personified. The only individual that can come out to beat his chest is Nuhu Ribadu. |
StreetFight:It's only Ribadu that had some level of credibility. There was never a case of allegation of corruption attached to him even after he left. In fact, he returned $15 million bribe from Ibori to the FG. The other woman named Waziri oozes corruption from head to toe, and actually recommended to Jonathan by his own cabal. She was extremely corrupt and was only there to protect Jonathan's cabal. |
MrNipplesLover:So, which frog get egg, and which does not. The one with rich melanin blessed skin or one with chicken skin wey no go last under sun. Because you think you get sense now. |
Castration? Thats barbaric. Accepted only if it also apply to public officials that steal public funds. Let it go round. |
ArmaniUhuru:But is he any different. He robbed Kwara State bondry, and his family ran an entire bank aground. |
Sweeetheart:Some of your points does not make sense. In your eyes, every Nigerian is fraudulent. A stupid statement. Then you said a market woman who sell a product she bought for N200 at N2500 is fraudulent. How is then when one has the right to fix prices as one deem fit |
remsonik:Try to put a price on freedom. Can you? |
Righteousness89:Here we go again, zealots. The Pharisees. |
kunle75:Why not just pay with money order. I had to travel to Atlanta last year to renew my passport. Imagine flying from one state to another for ordinary passport renewal. And those embassy staff are using people to do business. They said no 10year passport booklet because they want people to be coming every 5yrs. They even have a business center across the consulate run by a cabal with links to the embassy. |
ussv:I don't think decline of such transaction has to do with Nigeria specifically. Credit cards are designed to decline transactions that appear unusual. I have got my credit card declined many times on sites that has to do with Nigeria and likewise sites that are non-Nigerian. Sometimes I got declined when making payments on sites in western countries. The system is set up to decline unusual transactions. Often, i will get a message on my phone asking if I approved specifc transactions. I only have to click Yes or No. |
iyatrustee:I have used my credit card multiple times on that site to pay for passport renewal or visa application. Last time was about a year ago, and there was no issue. |
awoo47:I love doing this kind of things in the dark. You will see the tiny sparks. |
Rafaell:Oga Geophysict, this is Nairaland. Choose your grammar carefully. Assume you are addressing 10 to 12 year olds. Leave all that grammer and explain things in layman terms. |
lightwind:If your body can generate very low level electricity or transmit electricity, then how much more an electrical item that rely on electromagnetic field to operate. Even you as a biological being, your body rely on electrical processes to function. If it stop, one will simply drop dead. From the working of the brain to pumping of the heart, to body movement. |
emmy512:Are these Nigerian gas stations where everyone is not safety conscious. Do you have gas stations in Nigeria where there are signs with instructions pasted clear enough on "Dos and Donts" when you are at a gas station? You know you folks are special people. I suppose a shout of "blood of Jesus" will put out the flame. |
omat20:The gas knob turned on with no flame is different from a gas cooker with flame of burning gas. If your gas cooker has fire then you don't expect to have gas in the air. We are talking about forgetting to turn off the gas or leaving it turned on for too long without lightening the cooker immediately. Don't be a mad scientist. |
authority2006:Even at gas stations you are advised to release static electricity in your body before touching the pump. One can do this by touching certain objects or materials before going near the pump. |
mrmannothot:Not radiation. Its static electricity. |
authority2006:I don't need research on Google to tell me what could happen.. I have worked professionally with very flammable gases to non-flammable but dangerous ones, from hydrogen to methane, and CO2. And there are SOPs you naturally get used to under such situation. The kitchen is the most dangerous area in any home. Make the mistake of leaving the gas turned on for too long before attempting to light it. No matter what, it depends on how much gas is in the air. It doesn't mean it will happen every time but a poor error in judgement or unexpecred situation can make things happen. |
authority2006:You can go try it. Tnough it won't happen every time. But if you are unlucky to have someone that spilled petrol around you, you will surely get toasted. Just go on Youtube to see examples of "stubborn goats" like you that got smoked. |
NewBea:It's the same reason you are not to use your phone at a gas station (petrol station). There will be gas vapor in the air around the kitchen area. Especially the moment one turn on the gas knob before lightening the cooker. Having a phone in hand in the kitchen area during that moment could be dangerous. That moment takes some seconds and a lot could happen depending on how much gas is in the air or if you left the gas on for too long. Your cell phones can release static electricity and this could light up gas saturated air. It get more dangerous if you forget to turn off the gas. |
“He claimed he entered the university the year he left secondary school. How could he have gained admission with such result? It was very possible to gain admission in the year you completed secondary school. I suppose the individual that wrote this belong to the 6-3-3-4 or junior high or senior high school generation, and not among the generations that went through the 5-years secondary school system. I am really not familiar with Nigeria educational system anymore especially all the new complications with admission procedures but back in the days we used to get admission the same year we finished secondary school. I can name many classmates who did as well. I am talking about mid-80s to late 80s, and before then. And Obaseki completed high school before mid-80s. In fact I got a letter of admission the same year I finished secondary school. Many of us already sat for GCE at Class 4 (Form 4) before we did WASCE in our last year at Class 5. Many already met the credit requirements even at Class 4, and sat for JAMB before the end of our last school year. And it was posdible to combine result for GCE and WASCE, to meet the minimum requirements. I sense tha'ts what Obaseki did. Maybe he lost one of the results documents.. If I could remember, JAMB used to be around March of every year, and last day of secondary school year was around June/July. While university first semester used to start around September/October, and universities even admit students up to early December in case of students with some complications with the admission processes. In my case, I got a letter of admission the same year I completed high school but my name did not show up on the university of Ibadan list. Then the cutoff mark for basic science courses like Botany, Microbiology, Chemistry or Zoology was around 230-240, though it varied with years. If you don't score close to or above 300, you can't be admitted into Medicine degree. I had two classmates that got admitted into Medicine program at Unilag the same year we finished high school. And these guys already met the credit requirements from GCE exam they sat for in Class 4. |
The guy did the right thing, and is saving himself from future sorrow. If someone can attempt to steal from an institution as big as a bank, and think she can get away with it, then she is a potential thief. Whichever way she could have been charged to court if the guy was not able to convince her to refund the money. The bank was only going through with the proper steps of trying to recover the money through the normal channel, and if that wasn't successful she would have been charged to court for theft. I have seen court cases like this before. |
Wiseandtrue:They ought to have done this through the NGOs. I suppose some Nigerians in diaspora are doing this to seek future favour from the govt. Who hand over things like these to a govt with history of mismanagement. |
