telexfree1: IdiatYou are an ignoramus. Go spend some of your money to purchase SSE Economics textbooks rather than a data plan. If you di ourchase a data plan, please learn to use google as a simple search would have let you know that China has a debt profile of $771B. |
vislabraye: Dangote is owing who ? I guess you'll say BiLl Gate is also owing. Dangote may have borrowed in the past but he's very solvent. You have confirmed that you missed many economics classes back in school otherwise you would know that debt is not a bad thing. When the list of Bank Debtors was published in Nigeria, did you not see his name? As I type this I have debts, but guess what, I do have more assets than debts as those debts have helped me to finance my asset acquisition ventures. And when you knock off my debts to my assets, you can still proclaim me the richest man in Nigeria. Was that too hard for you to grasp? |
anonimi: 1999 - 2003 TinubuYou are a clown, have you checked the population figures for Lagos in the years from 1960 to 2011 to confirm that it is more per person? I can bet that you actually have no clue, Please go check and then report back. anonimi: Just tell Fashola that he has less than two years to RIGHT the mediocrity that he has passed on as excellence for more than six years so far. Particularly on free and COMPULSORY education for ALL Lagos children whose parents cough up the 60% IGR in his budget. For whatever it is worth, Lagos already has FREE AND COMPULSORY Edication for ALL Lagos children, or where have you been all this years? Or are you trying to say mischieviously that UNIVERSITY education should be free in Lagos as well? |
Don't believe what you see in the Media . Most LASU students are now dropouts , thanks to Mr Best Gomina
But I should believe you because you said it on Nairaland? ![]() |
anonimi: Because you asked for it (sounds like some old TV programme)It is amazing that you gibly stated that Fashola was owing salaries for 17 months while from the above, it is clear that LASU management was owing salaries. For your information,. LASU might have been set up by the LASG, but it was setup as an independent entity. The LASG therefore decided that LASU should charge fees commensurate with what its vision and aspirations are. We all need to accept it, independent institutions are far more desirable than leeches on government. Government should be providing grants to students and faculties/schools but allow those institutions to run independently. anonimi: I posted the link for the above story from Punch earlier:Hmmm, so you blame Fashola for what the university administration has failed to do! Haba! Too many people with lazy, unimaginative and lacking proper intellectual abilities are being shunned out from the universities because of the the lecturers themselves weren't the best in their fields to start with. Nowhere in that write up was the LASG mentioned as being responsible but the Gioverning Council of the institution. Make una dey reason small now, don't be in a hurry to paint someone black without reasoning. |
Emmadani: u say d more developed d more the debt?Just of recent GEJ borrowed 4rm china, the nigerians whr lamenting and criticizing jonathan, dat means we nigerians dnt want development as u may say...!The last tym i checked south africa, egypt, sudan owes the highest debt in africa their economy growth rate is slowest in africa.Just saying. You have now shifted focus to growth rate. So based on the declared growth rate of the economy for the past 2 years for Nigeria and US, would you say Nigeria is more developed than US? The growth rate of 1000 1500, will fetch you a 50% rate, but from 30000 to 35000, would fetch you a meagre 16%, yet that 16% is 10 times the growth of the 50%. You should learn the mathematics of things before you compare them. That GEJ borrowed money and people were anti-the borrowing was not because borrowing aint good, but for a government that is in the business of squandering, it is a bad omen. The FGN under GEJ has squandered more money than any other government in Naija. And therein lies the negativity towards the borrowing. |
Chino48: I thought as much. I was in Lagos last week for a workshop. I bet Lagos is huge slum over hyped by yuruba media..Where was the workshop and where in Lagos did you stay? It is nobody's fault when you collect your company's allowee but to save, you decide to go and put up with friends staying in slums. Doh! |
The best gomina in the world increased the tuition fee of Lasu from 25,000 to 250,000 !!!! Ride on , Gomina !
Tell me, with all the other available universities offering a tuition fees at 50K or 35K, why are parents not showing displeasure by moving their wards to such schools? |
Emmadani: if u want to go by dat then it means ghana has more responsibilities than nigeria since ghana's debt is higher.I hear you.If you are smart enough, you'd know that such distortions would also exists as nations are in different stages of development and therefore needs. However, once you check the trend you would see that the more developed, the more debts. Or does Panadol cure all headaches everytime? That it doesn't at one or two particular instances, does it make it not a pain killer? |
homesteady: I've never had anything against LASG under fashola because I've not been to lagos since fashola became the governor! But I believe what CACOL has said, because most of this ACN governors live on media hype! You have not been there yet you believed the same media that propagated this against the overwhelming voice of people in Lagos State and without praising the guy? homesteady: Especially Adams Oshiomole! I've seen this one with my two eyes! Oshiomole is doing nothing in Edo state compared to what other governors are doing in their state! Meanwhile, some stupid idiots will be naming him as one of the best performing governor in Nigeria! Now you are saying compared to other governors, when you have not been to the other governors' state! How then did you arrive at "What other governors are doing"? You refer to people that have gone round the country as idiots, yet you have not visited Lagos in 6 years and still have the temerity to open your mouth. homesteady: If you want to see uncommon transformation - come to kano state and see what kwankawaso is doing! He is just 2years in office! It's so bad that he can't contest againNow you invite people to come see what someone is doing in your backyard, but haven't gone to see what others are doing in the states. How would you reply when they have seen other states and then declare your backyard as sub-standard? Kano is being so transformed that we can see the educational transformation in the last cut-off mark for Unity schools. |
Emmadani: When i once said lagos was owing the highest external debt,a guy said lagos has more responsibilities,i told him to outline d responsibilities,he was going zig zag.Eko oni baje o.Why do you think the US has the highest debt in the world? Do you want to list the US responsibilities? |
camelus: @ Ops this is serious ! Did u just say 60Yrs to pay off Foreign & Domestic debt while Anambra State Govt led by Peter Obi is not owing any domestic or foreign debt.My guy, if Peter Obi led Anambra is not owing any kobo, then I can understand why the state is stagnant. Gues what, Dangote owes in billions of naira more than the Okada man, if the okad man wants, he can pride himself on not owing anybody, but he should also accept the differences in the progress that Dangote would make compared to him. |
Does lagos state govt gv investors moni 2 start business? Open a seaport in kano or Aba nd c wat will happen 2 lagos economy.
When Gatwick was opened, what happened to Heathrow? |
musiwa1c: this is may 150 million value.. give you 0.75 billion. you still have 2,000 billion to go. show moreAre you asking him to post a picture of EVERYTHING Fashola had done in the past 6 years!! Are you such a dunce? |
anonimi: Even the LASU that was built by the hardworking, morally upright REAL progressive action governor, Lateef Jakande was BASTARDISED by the Akotileta (prodigal son) who is the current tenant of Alausa house. He raised fees from 25k to 250k without any improvement in standards. Rather he owed academic and non-academic staff for 17 months. Please SHOW PROOF of this your assertion, any proof at all. So LASU lecturers and workers were living off what in that 17 months (1 Year 5 MOnths) and didn't cry out to the world. You are indeed the depth of falsehood. |
dangiwa09: Why can't you Nigerians ever base your debate and discuss on FACTs, VERIFIABLE FACTS, why must you always bring in your pre-conceived beliefs and very pedestrian tribal emotion into every issue? Executive Chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran is clearly a Yoruba man, and his organization has always been neutral and on point without any personal interest. Are you people so cursed that you can't reason on your own based on factual data. This was exactly what Obasanjo lamented about (Sahara Reporters) 2 days ago. Education and life is wasted on you if you cannot reason factually and objectively. You can agree or disagree on any issue, but base it on VERIFIABLE, FACTUAL and OBJECTIVE/CRITICAL reasoning. Only a person without any positive, intellectual and factual argument will resort to name-calling, abuse, foul language, tribal sentiments and emotions, and it makes you sound like an infant peasant. If you have any VERIFIABLE FACT that counters what CACOL has stated, then please share with us. And if you have any FACTUAL VERIFIABLE PROOF that CACOL took bribe, then let us know, and we'll thank you. If not, then stop blowing smoke up your rear-end.Please point me to the last 3 press statements by CACOL as regards corruption in Nigeria. What are the verifiable FACTUAL facts of CACOL submission? They even in their statement opined that they have not analysed the data to come to any conclusion of corruption but MAYBE! What nonsense organisation that talks of verifiable facts makes such statements. dangiwa09:I agree about your above submission, and i would be happy to watch out for your subsequent posts to hold you to your assertions. |
Maxymilliano: Executive Chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran, says the performance of Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola is overblown.Amazingly, the first going to press of this Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders this year, is not against known or certified corrupt people but agianst someone whose PERFORMANCE has been Overblown Not that he did not perform, not that he is corrupt but that it is overblown!!! That in itself is a corrupt organisation, especially when you see how they have coopted a certain name, Fawehinmi, to kind of gain some public goodwill. This are manifest wsys of corruption, put a name to deceive. SMH. |
Sincere 9gerian: Boko Haram is causing havoc in the north while Tinubu's boys are vandalising power infrastructure in the south. Every weapon fashioned against my fatherland shall not prosper. The activities of these bad elements, though may cause temporary setbacks, but eventually it shall come to nullity. So you believe Tinubu boys are the ones vandalizing pipelines within the creeks of the Niger Delta? It is amusing the depths of foolishness that you people will go to try and pin your inadequacies on others. For all the power plants being expected, how many new kilometers of pipelines have been constructed in Nigeria? We want gas powered power plants yet we do not build gas pipelines to these power plants. Would they be solar powered? |
seedord247: Wettin be hin pin?Ping him on ID10T007 |
seedord247: Brooo change your signature dem don remove your ban.The American President uses BB in America. ![]() |
Mr Aboki: YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Mr Aboki: So how is Akwa Ibom State and Rivers State able to fix FG roads in their states?!For all the rantings you have above there, remember this: Patience Jonathan's mum died on a stretch of FG road (Eleme - Uyo Road) that the same FGN has refused Amaechi to fix. Currently the traffic in Elelenwo axis is so much as people have to divert into Elelenwo to avoid the Eleme highway. As noted, sometimes the politics of the FGN comes into play in the roads that the states are allowed to fix on behalf of FGN. So you might want to do more digging to ascertain why that road is being abandoned. |
Longeria: And Fashola did perfectly well by reuniting them with their families at their family compound at river Niger head bridge, at 2am. Thanks for your matured explanation.Agreed that was not the best thing to do by those social workers, however, where was the Anambra State govt for 3 months? Read the press statement very well, when contacted, Lagos STate govt came to pick up the 2 people. So they came because of 2, yet ANSG would not even move because of 14 (70, 79, 35, etc). Haba! |
