Hmmm,okay lets say its a white wedding.Who dosnt know the appropriate dress code?.
But sum persons will still appear in traditional attires as if its a new yam festival or chieftaincy coronation.. on the other hand,don't be surprised to see some Nigerians with western attires at traditional festivals.
5.Occupying Front Rows.
A girl was totally embarrassed the other day when she forced herself on a seat specially meant for vips.The ushers didn't hesistate to show her the exit cos she started making a noise.
N/B:Seat where you should and not where you shouldn't to avoid embarrassing youself cos food go stl reach you.lol
6.Background Sounds
I guess thats the suitable term for those noise sum people make at social functions. This goes a long way to cause distraction and hinder a smooth running of the ceremony. Ladies do these alot.I wonder why they cant zip up their mouths until the programme comes to an end.

Im not really a socialist so to say. I have only attended a few social functions and have witnessed some nasty behaviours some people put up which i don't think really look pleasing to the sight.Nigerians are sociable,thats quite obvious.however they do tend to capitalize on this.
Imagine,u throw a party for a few invited friends with your hard-earned money only for the venue to be filled up with lots of people whom you never invited.You happened to invite a friend and he eventually invited another who also thought it wise to come with two or more peeps to share in the Lord's feast..
Below are some of the crazy things i have seen people do at social functions. pls feel to add yours
1.Gate-Crashing
This is the most common scenario at every social function. It seems some Nigerians don't just know their boundaries.They dont see anything wrong in turning up at a ceremony univited.They see it as a way of life.Guys do these alot.
I have friends who find pleasure in roaming about town during weekends just to enjoy some goodies at social functions.One of them got the beatings of his life last year when he was handled by the security for gate-crashing.
2.Over-eating
This one really irritates me.Imagine,a dude can turn up at a ceremony and eat as if he is breaking a five month dry fasting.Some eat as if the world is coming to an abrupt end soon or as if they aint got a pot in their houses.
3,Lack of Table Manners
guys are more guilty of this than the ladies cos the latter would always try to go slow on it maybe to impress that handsome fellow with pink lips and a car key.im afraid sum Guys don't care whether you are staring at them or not:they just wana freestyle.The outcome of this is that alot of guys do leave the venue with oil stains on their clothed..lol

a rescue mission.He finally tore his PDP membership card and is now a bonafide member of the APC.
APC is an Association of Past Criminals rather than the postive change its members have promised to bring if given the mantle of leadership.
It is now clearer that APC is a waste basket of the PDP,where the people who created and perpetuated the "
16 Disastrous years" are now dumped.
Please Nigerians what is the change in

Conclusion: It seems ur just starting higher school.(U NEVA CHI CHUM CHING.LOL.)hence ur yet to come to the knowledge that the four walls of a university is a different world from our homes n secondary schools.its expected that individual/ students seeking admission into any institution of higher learning are matured n can act independently without being shown what to do..U nd to sit up..

An adopted woman who tracked down
her real father when she was 13 has told
how he dressed her in a wedding gown
and went on to rape her.
Then, when Hollie Davey fell pregnant with
biological dad Paul Davey’s child he
attempted to perform a home abortion on
her.
But the home operation failed, and she
went onto have the abortion in hospital.
She later had another child with him - a
boy who has since been taken into care -
but it was this pregnancy which prompted
her to leave.
Miss Davey, now 26, from Essex, told how
she was excited to trace her long-lost
father and turned up on his doorstep.
But within weeks he was raping and
abusing her, calling her “Daddy’s special
girl”. He dressed her in a wedding gown and
said he wanted them to be married.
The paedophile even forced a ring onto her
finger.
Miss Davey, who has since had three
daughters, Alayla, six, Roxanne, four and
Amelia, two, said: “I’ll never get over what
my dad did.
“He ruined my childhood.”
She struggled to cope as a teen when her
mother told her she had been adopted.
“My world crumbled,” she said.
“I couldn’t take it in. I was so angry.
“I felt like my whole life had been a lie.”
When Miss Davey learned her biological
mother had died she decided to pay a visit
to her biological father, leaving her
adopted parents.
She arrived at his home in October 2001.
“When I arrived, a man with grey hair
answered the door and asked me if he
could help,” she said.
“I told him I was his daughter and though
he looked shocked, he pulled me in for a
hug.
“He said he had been waiting for the

Tragic: Hollie feels her childhood was

She spent the evening with her father
chatting about their lives, and he asked
her to move in with him.
“With those words I felt like I belonged and
I settled down in to dad’s spare room,"
she said.
But while she was keen to develop a
father-daughter bond, Miss Davey’s father
had other ideas.
Miss Davey said: “One day while I was
reading a magazine dad started to run his
fingers though my hair.
“Then he said, ‘You’re gorgeous, I can’t
believe you’re my daughter.’
“It made me feel uneasy.
“But I was desperate for dad to love me,
so I told myself I was just being silly.”
But his odd behaviour continued, and after
they had been living together for two
months, he suggested playing the game
which the sick sex pest called 'Mummies
and Daddies'.
Miss Davey said: “I thought it was strange
being that I was almost 14, but I didn’t
want to annoy my dad.”
Davey then handed her a wedding dress
and told he to put it on.
Miss Davey said: “I put it on and played
along with him.”
Her father then asked her to pose on the
bed so he could take some photos of her
wearing the gown.
Miss Davey said: “It felt wrong but what
could I do?”
Later that night she heard her bedroom
door creak.
“Dad said, ‘I’ll sleep here tonight so I can
be with my gorgeous daughter,’” Miss
Davey said.
“But he started touching me.
“I told him to stop it and tried to pull
away but he ignored me and carried on
touching me.”
Before long Davey was visiting his
daughter’s room every night to molest her.
Hollie Davey: Now 26, she has
managed to find happiness
She said: “He would call me his ‘special
girl’ and I would lay in bed limp, trying to
pretend it wasn’t happening.”
One morning Davey shoved his daughter in
to his car and drove her to a deserted
road to rape her.
Miss Davey said: “He told me to shut up,
tore at my clothes and held me down on
the passenger seat.
“I waited for it to be over but dad said,
‘There’s more where that came from’.
“I wondered how he could do this to me. I
thought he loved me.”
At home Davey locked his daughter in the
house and forced her to wear the wedding
dress again.
He took more photos of her, then thrust a
silver ring on her wedding ring finger and
said, ‘I want you to be my wife’.
Miss Davey said: “I wanted to throw up.
He was sick.
“I felt caged up like an animal.”
The rape continued for months, and
eventually she fell pregnant.
Desperate to end it, he forced her to down
a bottle of gin then performed a home
abortion with a knitting needle.
Miss Davey said: “I remember blood
running down my legs and it must have
panicked my dad because he took me to
hospital.
Closure: Hollie finally reported her
dad years after she escaped
“I wanted to scream at the nurses, ‘My
dad did this to me,’ but I was petrified of
the consequences.
“But if I thought this was going to scare
him in to stopping him raping me, I was
wrong.”
At 15, Miss Davey fell pregnant a second
time, but on this occasion she hid it from
her father.
She said: “Even though the baby had been
created by a monster, it was my baby.”
Then one night when her dad was asleep,
Miss Davey noticed that the front door was
unlocked and made a break for freedom.
She said: “I realised, I was finally free.”
She gave birth to a son, but social
services took him away.
Miss Davey blamed her dad and,
determined not to let him destroy any
more of her life, she started at college and
got her own flat.
She went on to have three daughters, then
one day she realised that her father was
still out there, prowling the streets and
could be abusing other children.
She said: “I realised he couldn’t get away
with this so I contacted a solicitor and
went to the police.”
She underwent DNA tests, which proved
her father was in fact her son’s dad, too.
Then, a second girl came forward to report
that she too had been abused by Miss
Davey’s father.
In July 2013 Paul Davey, then 63, from
Suffolk, appeared at Ipswich Crown
Court and pleaded not guilty to rape,
indecent assault and one attempt of
procuring a miscarriage.
He was convicted of all counts and jailed
for 16 years.
Miss Davey said: “I’ll never get over what
my dad did.
“I wish I hadn’t gone looking for him. He
ruined my childhood.
“But I’m now back in touch with my
adoptive family and am finally happy.

Dear Mr. President,
Do forgive me for barging in on you with
this letter while you are preparing for your
election. This is the only way I am sure I
can reach you most effectively. This is not
meant to embarrass or distract you, rather
the situation warrants that I let my
President know my plight, and that of
many Nigerians. After all, Americans have
easy access to President Barack Obama.
It’s to do with electricity. But you might be
wondering why I should write you directly
on this when you have a Minister of
Power, and even a Chairman of the
Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
But I am sorry to say, if they do exist,
Nigerians whom you and they swore to
serve have not felt their impact on this
matter. In any case, I have written to
them several times as well as those
written by other people, including opinions
by reputable newspapers, not leaving out
countless peaceful protests by Nigerians to
the distribution companies (discos), to the
extent that a public affairs commentator
proposed a revolution as the only solution
to this problem.
Though it might not matter any longer, I
will still go ahead to say it. I feel there are
areas that should never be privatised in
Nigeria. And one of them is the power
sector. The power sector is too critical to
be left in the hands of capitalists.
Capitalists are like doctors who sell coffins.
Electricity is the oxygen of the economy.
Unlike government, capitalists have only
three things in mind: Profit, profit, and
profit. Only competition puts them in check.
Unfortunately, the power sector as it is
today is a quasi-monopoly. Unlike the
telecoms sector, electricity consumers
cannot change their electricity suppliers.
Still, Nigerians appreciate the efforts you
have put into the power sector reforms so
far. Nigerians recognise that it will take
time to reach the desired level. But one
thing Nigerians cannot take is the injustice,
avarice and inefficiency that have
bedevilled the sector since it was
privatised.
Before the privatisation, my electricity bill
as estimated by the old Power Holding
Company of Nigeria, Abule Egba business
unit in Lagos, because I have yet to be
given a prepaid meter, used to be about
N2,300 per month. After the privatisation,
and the Ikeja Electricity Distribution
Company took over, the bill became
N6,000. After the tariff was “increased”
with the so-called MYTO II, it became
N13,000. This was given to me for three
months. And without any further increase
in tariff, that for February is now N18,000!
Our minimum wage! It is laughable, if it
were it not so grave.
There are those who have prepaid meters
in Lagos who use air-conditioning systems
and pump their water even for commercial
purposes who spend, on average, N4000
monthly. I know some people who don’t
have prepaid meters in Abuja who are
given a bill of N2,500 a month. An insider
of the IKDEC described the N18,000 bill as
“impossible.” Still, there will be a further
“increase” in tariff for private homes in a
few months’ time. Yet, there is no
improvement in power supply, particularly
since last October. As I am writing you
this, there is power outage. Last month
and up till this month, the light has been
coming and going, every 30 minutes in my
neigbourhood!
Now, even if with privatisation, the light
does not blink for one year, it is no
justification for reckless and irresponsible
bills. When the discos supply light that
lasts up to five hours at a stretch, they
want Nigerians to cheer them. Yet, the
light supply is nowhere near what the
defunct National Electric Power Authority,
or even PHCN used to supply us.
My neighbours have long lost faith in the
system. They say they can’t pay for what
they did not consume. Someone I know
has asked to be completely disconnected
until he gets a prepaid meter. He powers
himself and still has a lot of savings. But I
still pay for my bills regularly. But I get
scorned by neighbours, family and friends.
That I still pay the outrageous bills that I
do not consume even causes friction
between my spouse and I. The discos are
stretching my already thin patience!
As I said, we still run our generators as
before the privatisation. But as said, we
will save more if we depend solely on our
generators. But that will be antithetic to
your vision for the sector. We are all here
to support you and the system. But it
seems the discos are taking Nigerians for
fools. But what they fail to realise is that
by their greed, they only succeed in
discouraging those who pay their electricity
bills. But it is the discos that will lose
eventually, as Nigerians know how to beat
the system!
The problem has been identified that there
is a huge metering gap. The discos are not
keen on giving out prepaid meters because
of the huge rake-off from the estimated
billing system. Nigerians now have to pay
for their inefficiency, and feed their greed.
Even with their greed, the discos are
negligent in maintaining their distribution
equipment and upgrading their facility. In
December, I paid N10,000, into my
account. With that of many others, till
date, it has not been credited into my
account. They attribute it to a “system
error,” and are “working on it.” And they
want me to keep paying.
I am sorry, Your Excellency, but this matter
is now a campaign issue. Consider the
millions of Nigerians who are without
prepaid meters who are suffering this
injustice. A majority of Nigerians say they
have not seen the gain of the fuel price
reduction from N97 to N87. But trust me,
Nigerians will be very grateful if you
intervene in this injustice with the
estimated bill. Nigerians are a majority,
and the discos are a minority. The majority
carries the vote! And that is the vote we
promise to give you!
You listened when we said we did not
want the removal of fuel subsidy. Pray, on
behalf of those Nigerians who are being
cheated by the discos, make NERC revert
to the old electricity tariff. If the average
those who are using prepaid meter are
paying is N4,000, the estimated bill given
to those who don’t have prepaid meters
should be fixed in that range. At worst, let
those on prepaid meters pay the new
tariff, and those without prepaid meters
pay the old tariff. And the day a
consumer gets their prepaid meter, they
start paying the new tariff. And any disco
who still gives out “crazy bills” should be
sanctioned. And Nigerians are within their
rights not to pay such bills. Perhaps, that
is the only sure way of making the discos
give their customers prepaid meters, and
end the abuse.
I am also aware that you have provided
the funds for the provision of one million
prepaid meters for consumers. Nigerians
appreciate this. But one million meters will
go nowhere. And how will the meters be
distributed?
Your Excellency, we are not asking to go
back to Egypt, but while in the wilderness
enroute to the Promised Land, give us the
manna called justice!
Permit me one last wish, Sir! The discos
are using the excuse of “increased” tariff
to feed fat. They are operating an open
cheque, with their pen dripping with the
blood and sweat of hapless Nigerians.
May they be struck by constipation!
