From 1998 to 2004, it was Arsenal
From 2004 to 2010, na Chelsea where the hell did they come out from?
I'm begining to notice Man City fans as well.
Very few Liverpool fans, there are quite a number of utd fans as well but we always trailed either Arsenal or Chelsea |

dayokanu: This is the explanation. It is a standard rule in football And Zambia leads while Cameroun came second Is it really the standard rule Dayo? The "standard" rule I know is that Gabon wont even be in the reckoning in the first place. Same GD but lesser goals scored. It will then be a straight decision btw Zambia and Cameroon (they scored 5 goald each) and then the better btw the 2 when they met comes into play. That is how I grew up to know group stages in competitions. rasputinn: Who is still arguing about which country we're meeting in the 1/4 finals No one is arguing. We know we are playing Zambia. We're only analysing issues |

dayokanu: In football when there is a tie, they would do a mini league removing the team that is not in contention
The mini league would be like ---------------P --W--D--L--GF--GA--GD--PTS Cameroun ----2---1---0--1--3----3---0-----3 Gabon---------2---1---0--1--2----2--0------3 Zambia--------2---1---0--1--4---4---0------3
With this analysis Zambia tops the group! As they have more goals scored in the mini league and Cameroun second Okay. That means the head to head will apply if it involves 2 teams. With 3 teams, head to head becomes void and a mini league applies. That sounds logical but for me, goals differerence and the goals scored should come first and then head to head If we have that, Gabon is out, then that leaves us with Zambia and Cameroon with 5 goals scored and 5 against. Head to head comes in and Cameroon tops. |
Sports › Re: Africa Nations Cup Angola 2010. The Official Thread by akinalabi(m): 8:44pm On Jan 21, 2010 |
This is getting really really ridiculous.
Firstly, their rule says Head to Head over goals difference.
Gabon and Cameroon had 4 points each. Head to Head, Gabon should be ahead of Cameroon.
Secondly, Head to Head between Camerron and Zambia means Cameroon should top the group.
Madness! |

@ THE.AMAKA, Have you ever been to Calabar? I really think compariosons between cities can only be authoritative only if you've seen the 2 cities. If you have been there and you feel calabar is more beautiful, who am I to question it? Meanwhile, if that is your pic in your profile, then you're more beautiful than both Lagos and Calabar combined |
Travel › Re: Calabar Vs Lagos by akinalabi(m): 10:56pm On Jan 02, 2010 |
THE.AMAKA: @akinalabi well people that have lived in both places have given their testimonies, people that have done their NYSC there, people that have traveled their think so. even while i was in naija my uncles were telling me about calabar since they have traveled there. so i think i'll take their word for it. besides, i havent heard any bad thing about calabar yet. maybe cross river (in other parts) but not calabar. Lagos is nice (this island) and that is not even the majority of Lagos. im sure calabar may have some ruff areas too, but not in abundance or as bad like Lagos. anyway here is a video. *those okadas are making the place so ugly, pretty soon they will be gone* I did my NYSC there and I still go there till today. I know the two cities quite well and that is why I joined the debate. If we were talking about cleaner, orderly, less stress et all, then Calabar dwarfs Lagos. Yes, the Island is not the majority of Lagos but it is almost as big as the whole of Calabar. Lagos has more beautiful places. . . On the other hand, has more terrible places. |

25 liars and counting! Those saying Calabar is more beautiful should put up pictures of beautiful places in Calabar so we can compare to Lagos. Seeing is believing. Over to pro calabars. We are waiting. |

The trophy is in Lampard's home and you can't take it away. . whether you accept it or not and he did not get there by being ordinary, he got there by virtue of what he's done on the pitch. . . if you think that's a "disgrace" like you call it. . Then you need help. Brilliant. When Fab gets to the level of being listed when FIFA is crowning the best of the best, then there can be a discussion. Until then, we should just enjoy his footie |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Cesc Fabregas And Frank Lampard by akinalabi(m): 8:30am On Dec 31, 2009 |
Ibime: Fabregas this season goes into the same echelon as Ronaldo, Henry and Cantona. . . . they are the only 4 players in that class in the last 20 years. . . . players who dictate games single-handedly.
Lampard belongs on the rung below with Gerrard, Drogba, Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Vieira, Pires etc. Ibime has taken it too far this time. While I dont do debates of who is better, mentioning Fab and Ronaldo in the same breath is ridiculous |

~Sauron~: The question now is. . . . . At what point would you put your hands up that Amodu has failed? Losing out in the next ACN in the group? Losing out in the knock out rounds of the ACN? Disgracing Nigeria in the group stage in South Africa? For me, anything Berti Vogts or lower, then he has failed. |

~Sauron~: Is it really the most dangerous? I actually think early crosses are better if timed to perfection.
Valencia runs the ball to the bye-line and his crosses are rubbish. Forget Valencia jo I mean the one you take to the byline (almost near the sis yard box) and then pull back to a team mate that did not rush to the goal line with others. The type Lennon provided earlier today against the hammers Meanwhile, why you dey laugh me say I no fit operate balckberry? |

Ibime: Crosses from the byline are more effective. . . . Ferreira crossing from deep will not hurt anyone. . . . get some proper wingers to hit the byline in a 4-3-3, and you will see incisive effective crosses. . . .
