Nigerians must begin to speak and write from the position of knowledge , not of ignorance .

Nigerians of all classes must start to embrace and adopt international best practices in all we do in order to avoid some of these embarassments from around the world.

I dont like seeing our polilitical office holders in flowing gowns during official business. I think they should start dressing smart to potray some seriousness on the job.

It should be difficult for sensible nigerians to take many of our erstwhile national leaders and polititians serious in whatever they do or say.

Time for a national policy on keeping fit.

Most Nigerians would not like to hear this because they always prefer to be in denial. Rather than go to the hospital for check ups, you would see them in the worship centers praying fervently for good health and long life. Africa is the home of ignorance.

I did not expect anything better than that because most Nigerians have been blinded by religion. And don't be surprised, he might have done it to please some local ' powerful 'pastors who prayed for him during the elections . Quite unfortunate.

Mugabe and his likes are probably the reason why the West refer to black africans as monkeys. To remove this derogatory nomenclature, it is time we start to address and challenge our problems with courage, vigour and determination to get results. When it comes to fighting for positive change, nigerians are very timid and would prefer to grumble and suffer to death. No wonder the holy book says that right from the days of john the baptist, the kingdom of heaven had suffered violence and it is only the bold and the violent that taketh it by force. No good things come easy but nigerians love easy life without wanting to fight believing most times that only God can change their situation through prayers.

If Nigeria will begin to adopt world best practices in everything it does locally and internationally , it would not take long before the country's lost glory and respect is regained and its destined goals achieved.

Many lazy folks on nairaland adore slowpokes, lazy , fraudulent and regressive leaders and that is why they conceive and write evil about anyone t who is hardworking, progressive and means well for the country.

You would find the worst posts on this forum. Most of the language you"ll find here are unpolished, uncouth and hateful. Only a handful of them would pass a test of sensibility. In here , the wild animals are always on the loose.

I hate to say this, let there be some decorum on nairaland. The moderators have a big job on their hands to ensure that some uncouth , frustrated and uncultured posters dont soil the image of the organisation. Does this imply that muslims who didn't confess and profess Jesus will go to hell? I am reluctant to believe this because Mohammed was also believed to have been sent by God. I think having a sound direct relationship with God is what matters and not how many churches or mosques you have attended or how big or expensive your worship garment is. Todays' worshippers have been developing relationships with the church and their pastors rather than establishing rappor with the Almighty. Modern day pastors and imams have done too much damage to the scriptures and have continued to mislead their lazy followers whose major sickness is unwilligness to read the holy books to acquire knowledge about what God demands of man. I recall that the bible says that 'my people are perished because they lack knowledge'.

Muhammad submitted to the will of God
Everyone one of them was sent at a particular time. And whoever follow their way at that time shall not perish but have eternal life if God wills.
None of them ever said you should worship them neither did they call themselves God.
To submit to the will of God alone without ascribing partners with him is only defined by one religion and that is Islam.

Thanks for stating that none of the people you mentioned never said people should worship them unlike what we have now where the worshippers relegate God / Jesus and worship their pastors and imams instead.

As long as the probe will cover all segments of the society , nothing bad will happen. Nigerians fear everything around them and that is why the larger society is very poor while the few that are bold and daring are busy milking the country dry. Before the last elections, only few nigerians believed there will be no crisis while most (including the so called religious leaders) expressed utmost fear and even prophesised doom. We must begin to see national issues as they are without unnecessary prejudices if nigeria must prosper.

The fear of doing the right things has been the bane of nigeria's problems. We fear to talk about religion and other socio- political maladies in the society for for no good reason. The journey to solving a problem starts with discussing it constructively in the public domain. Nigerians must begin to purge themseves of this spirirt of fear and suspicion if the country must move forward.

The fear of pastors may be the beginning of wisdom. Nigerians have been scammed with prayers and miracles for long and nobody seems interested in addressing this malady. Remove religion and there will be more peace and prosperity in our society. Has anyone pondered to ask what Nigerians have benefited from religion all this while ? Maybe poverty, backwardness and ignorance.

High unemployment , poverty and insecurity are some of the reasons why people seek attention, attraction, sympathy and acceptance on facebook and allied forums.

The day nigerians decide to relegate religion and adopt God and love , great things will start to happen in the country. Why are nigeria's leaders so shameless and irresponsible in their personal and public conduct ? To some of us who have seen how leaders behave and talk in other climes, it is embarassing to hear some people threaten the peace of a sovereign state like nigeria for whatever reason. As far as the probe will be fair and free from interference, let it happen so that nigeria can regain her lost glory.

There is urgent need for some decorum on this forum. From what i have observed on nairaland, many of the young posters here will turn out to be bad future leaders; maybe worse than what we have now. Whoever has ears, let him hear and change now.

There is nothing so special about riding a bicycle and i dont think any sensible nigerian should care even if any member of the outgoing FEC walks with his head. They have overstayed their welcome.
