nosagold: How about?
const OP = “officialdlh”; const commentor = “regex”;
const message = OP === commentor ? “OfficialDlh is Regex” : “OfficialDlh is NOT Regex”;
console.log(message); Easier and simple.Welldone! Is the parenthesis around the condition optional? I.e (condition) ? statement or condition ? statement. |

Jahzrockballer: var OP = "OfficialDlh" var commentor = "Regex";
(OP === commentor) ? console.log("OfficialDlh is Regex" : console.log("OfficialDlh is NOT Regex" )
I'm a JS noob This syntax is correct also.But its common to use it the inline way i.e (condition) ? statement1 : statement2 ; I'm not saying your multi-line usage is wrong.But I haven't tried it before. I'm "a more js noob" than you are.I'm a complete greenhorn in js |

tensazangetsu20: Liquid is the langauge used by Shopify for templating. It's based on ruby so it's easy to understand if you know ruby. Yeah you need frontend knowledge. Okay thank |

tensazangetsu20: You need a backend language to work with shopify. With Shopify it's liquid which is just ruby on rails. It's the main language to do core customisations and integrations. Okay.But one would still need frontend knowledge right? And what do you mean by "liquid"? |
Programming › Re: I Got A Call From A Recruiter by Albertone(m): 1:23am On Mar 13, 2021 |
tensazangetsu20: You are on the right track. Ruby will help you understand liquid and theme kit very well. Don't spend too much time learning things deeply. Just learn the basic syntax, how to declare variables, loops, how to connect ruby to a database et al before properly jumping into Shopify. But cover your HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React. Shopify is very hot and underrated niche. Very good for remote jobs with good pay for junior Devs. Must one be a fullstack developer or one can still work with being a frontend developer? Talking about shopify |

DumbGeek: wow the price is quite high..
there it was 30k per level then, but I don't think it's higher though but I will ask questions.
Some times the German proficiency stuff goes with the school requirements
Yeah the hören und Lesen are the major challenges there, but I'm hearing from a friend of mine that the required level now is C1, no more B1, although I'm not sure for now. 30k is quite fair. C1??Do they want us to turn germans before coming over? Alright,thank you very much. |

DumbGeek: I wrote B1 and made sprechen and schreiben. couldn't make lesen and hören..
lack of funds plus other personal issues made me stop. I learnt at Owerri, there is a language school there, well I don't know about the Goethe institute fees, I will be trying soon too, I have been trying to apply for some scholarships but almost all requires it. so I might try self learning but till then. Goethe charges 90k to learn A1,same 90k to learn A2.But B1 is higher. Hören und Lesen are the major challenges one faces in learning but that can effectively be solved by full immersion. Can you give a price range of the Owerri language school?I am looking for alternatives to Goethe. I never even know German proficiency was required for scholarships,I only thought it was an added advantage for the likes of DAAD,Erasmus,Studienkollege or something. |

Programming › Re: Why So Many Junior Developers Struggle To Get An Opportunity. by Albertone(m): 8:35am On Feb 25, 2021 |
GeneralShepherd: The dunking on DSAs is hilarious. Studying DSAs helps developers form a strong foundation that will serve them well throughout their career.
In my list of things to know to be a great dev.
1. Basic DSA , understand BigO. 2. Learn how to write clean code that someone else or you can read when you want to add a new feature in 6 months. 3. Learn how to breakdown a problem in pseudocode, that is without any programming language. 4. Learn and object oriented language 5. Learn a functional programming language. 6. Have a basic understanding of databases, SQL and NoSQL, when one makes sense over the other
It will be easy for you to pick up any new language or tech, when you have a strong foundation. When should I start learning DSA? I am still in the basics of Javascript. |
