And yet we have corrupt politicians walking on the street.
You are as corrupt as the corrupt politicians since in your book, there are justifiable reasons for stealing. No doubt the politicians do justify their stealing as well. |
Joagbaje:^If you need to ask this, then your problem is more than I thought. BTW; it is not Naira or Dollars or any of the other currencies that your church chases. |
From #48 on that thread: nopuqeater:I see where you going with this: first you cast aspersions implying I am lying. That which I have seen with my own eyes; I described to you. I hope you understand what it means to dissect the human body? Secondly between the back bone and the ribsis not describing an embryo but the bony structure of a full-formed man. Thirdly where do the cells that go on to become spermatozoa in the testes form in the embryo? This is a highly technical question whose answer requires the use of specialized language but I will endeavor to simply it for you. The cells that go on to form spermatozoa are called primordial germ cells in the embryo. They originate from parts of the same structure that later on becomes the skin. The skin, we all know is outside covering everything, not between the ribs and backbone. What is their definite location of origin before moving down: the area that later on becomes your belly button (navel). Is your own belly button between your ribs and backbone? At the time all this is happening (around 4 - 6 weeks after conception [about 6 - 8 weeks after the woman misses her period]) the embryo doesn't even have fully formed ribs or backbone! . ^The red dots indicate the movement of the primordial germ cells; you can see how they move from the outside around the area of the umbilical cord (later to become your navel). https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/89/Human_Embryo.JPG/220px-Human_Embryo.JPG Please note: the cells that become the spermatozoa are different from those that form the testicles. And: between the back bone and the ribs is not describing an embryo but the bony structure of a full-formed man. |
tbaba1234:^Not true. . . ![]() This "between the backbone and ribs" thingy was comprehensively debunked on this here thread (with diagrams for that matter!). www.nairaland.com/attachments/328650_male_tract_jpgc5839b1a9afe286db274cb0b2dec8ace As you can see there are no ribs anywhere near the seminal vesicles. |
Pstr James:^Is this the highfalutin explanation of the discrepancy between your id and actual name that I would not understand? I thought you said: Pstr James:In any case, all I said was: aletheia:All you simply needed to do was clarify the difference; not this pompous runaround, you 've been trying to give me. Your behaviour is typical of someone with something to hide. . .one acting a role, in short a hypocrite. Disciples of Jesus Christ are to be straightforward men and women, not this devious behaviour you have exhibited here. Pstr James:So are you minding your business here? You that all your posts to date have only been on this thread. . .since you are not Uebert himself; how does this qualify as your business? Unless of course, you are here to defend your livelihood. Pstr James:^Even Satan quotes the bible (better than you) and the devils acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God. It doesn't prove you are genuinely a woman of god, Agness Tavengwa. Pstr James:^No he didn't. Stop lying. This is easily verified by even yourself. Just open the relevant Bible passages and read! Pstr James:^Again, stop lying. No where in the verses cited, is it written that Paul responded to Elymas in anger; rather it says: "filled with the Holy Spirit". Perhaps, you mistake anger as being filled with the Holy Spirit? Is that what Uebert teaches you? Pstr James:^This is the only thing you got right. Pstr James:^True religion is not a bad thing. What we are against is false religion as exemplified by you and Uebert. The irony is the original James had this to say about religion: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. (Jas 1:27) Sadly, you the followers of Uebert are practising a false religion and have fallen into an entrapment. As it is written: Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, (Col 2:18) Pstr James:SMH. Clearly you don not understand this allusion to Jacob's vision at Bethel on his way to Padan-Aram in Genesis. So by your arguments; Christians should also expect to venerate and see snakes regularly because Jesus told Nicodemus: [i]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: (Joh 3:14) Una do well O! Pstr James:^Clearly, you are not using the same Bible as the rest of us. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. (Act 12:5)Where here does it suggest the kind of silly and self-serving prayers that your cult indulges in: Uebert Angel: To see an angel, be expectant to see an angel.^So angels now serve as secretaries to be dialing mobile phone numbers. ![]() No doubt Uebert sees angels but I doubt if these are the holy angels of God. The bottom-line of Uebert's message is revealed thus: Uebert Angel: Be comfortable with what you have but don't be content.^It's all about greed and love for Mammon. The conclusion of the matter is: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Co 11:14-15) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Gal 1:8-9) |
A "vote of no confidence" is meaningful in a Parliamentary Democracy. Nigeria runs the Presidential System with a clear separation of powers. The said senators are only grandstanding; knowing that ever gullible and easily manipulated Nigerians as usual will applaud their meaningless grand gesture. . .meanwhile what have they done to reduce their humongous salaries and allowances? |
tbaba1234:^ The Qur'an prescribes 100 lashes for adultery. . .the hadith says death by stoning. So the Qur'an says one thing while the hadith says another. Islamic jurisprudence follows the hadith in this case and yet you say: tbaba1234:Why then have you not set aside the hadith that prescribes death by stoning seeing as it says a different thing from the Qur'an? Even saying that: tbaba1234:. . .does not help because by your statement, the Qur'an is the ultimate authority on matters of faith for Muslims and therefore any hadith no matter how authentic must be set aside if it says anything different on a matter already covered by the Qur'an. But since the hadith is regarded as authentic then; it is accepted. This must place you in a bind for that very hadith directly implies that your Qur'an is incomplete, and if incomplete, then it is imperfect. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: , In the meantime, 'Umar sat on the pulpit and when the callmakers for the prayer had finished their call, 'Umar stood up, and having glorified and praised Allah as He deserved, he said, "Now then, I am going to tell you something which (Allah) has written for me to say. I do not know; perhaps it portends my death, so whoever understands and remembers it, must narrate it to the others wherever his mount takes him, must narrate it to the others wherever his mount takes him, but if somebody is afraid that he does not understand it, then it is unlawful for him to tell lies about me. Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and revealed the Holy Book to him, and among what Allah revealed, was the Verse of the Rajam, the stoning of married person (male & female) who commits illegal sexual intercourse, and we did recite this Verse and understood and memorized it. Allah's Apostle did carry out the punishment of stoning and so did we after him. I am afraid that after a long time has passed, somebody will say, 'By Allah, we do not find the Verse of the Rajam in Allah's Book,' and thus they will go astray by leaving an obligation which Allah has revealed. And the punishment of the Rajam is to be inflicted to any married person (male & female), who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if the required evidence is available or there is conception or confession. And then we used to recite among the Verses in Allah's Book: 'O people! Do not claim to be the offspring of other than your fathers, as it is disbelief (unthankfulness) on your part that you claim to be the offspring of other than your real father.' (Sahih Bukhari 8.817) So where did the missing verse go? |
aletheia: Pstr James:Touched a nerve there now, did I? ![]() What relationship does "Agness Tavengwa" bear to "Pstr James". Why do you a woman seek to pass yourself off as a male (for that is the subliminal impression created by a name such as James)? And how are you a "pastor"? |
Pstr James:But of course, "pastor" James, you only quote that which you can twist to support your heresies. aletheia: wetu:+1 wetu:^Pstr James = Agness Tavengwa (I think), probably not related to existing users. But why "Pstr James"? |
Pstr James:Context is important. . ."cut and join" exegesis will not cut it at all. Surely they taught you that in Bible school "pastor". Here are the verses you left out: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. (Php 4:11-15) As the old joke of the guy who decides to pick out two key verses in the Bible to live by and ends up with "And Judas went and hanged himself" and "Go thou and do likewise" shows; deceived men can make isolated bible verses mean almost anything they want it to mean. Pstr James:^What exactly does the conditional "If" in this statement indicate? While the Bible is clear that believers are joined to Christ, does it teach that they are God? What Bible verse says: "God is the three in one"? Do you find anywhere in scripture, such language used to describe God? Aren't these examples of preconceived notions that you charge someone else with holding: Pstr James: |
tbaba1234:^. . .but you did not actually answer my question: aletheia:Perhaps, I did not make myself clear enough. Let me rephrase: What is the specific punishment prescribed by the Quran for adultery? |
tbaba1234: tbaba1234:Here are my questions: 1. Which Quranic verse prescribes stoning as the punishment for adultery. 2. How do you reconcile this punishment with the claim that the Quran is complete and perfect? |
tbaba1234:Why are you getting your knickers into a twist? Without reading the books; how do you know if Tash doesn't also have these attributes? You said: tbaba1234:And I replied: aletheia: |

tbaba1234:^ tbaba1234:I think you should read the two books I mentioned first. You may disagree with my assessment after reading it. . .but you have no way of judging if I am right in my view that Tash bears similarities to Allah until you do so. BTW take note of my caveats: aletheia: |
. . .i'd like to have some muslim commentary about the book the horse and his boy by c s lewis.
I am not a Muslim. . .but I see the Calormenes as a thinly veiled reference to Islam by C.S. Lewis. This is not so apparent in The Horse and His Boy, but becomes clearer in The Last Battle, where we see that the Calormene god Tash bears striking similarities to the Islamic god. It would also appear in the fate that befell Emeth that C.S. Lewis believed that one might be saved apart from the gospel (if we take his allegorical tales as commonly interpreted). It is doubtful if the Chronicles of Narnia can be considered suitable Christian reading. |

Beaf:I hardly see what the big deal is about these so-called technological "achievements". Certainly it demonstrates resourcefulness in the face of adversity and overwhelming odds, but that is all it is. To hold them up as some major leap in technological development is rather far-fetched and betrays how 40+ years on, we still do not distinguish between the reality and the myth of Biafra. |
At topic: NOT TRUE. What the Biafrans did was to outfit Swedish single-engine MFI-9B trainers to hold rockets in pods under its wing under the tutelage of Count Carl Gustaf von Rosen. We modified aircraft from trainer to fighters, from passenger aircraft to bombers. Carl Gustaf von Rosen had the planes painted in camouflage colours, fitted with rockets from Matra and proceeded with a band of friends to form a squadron called Babies of Biafra to strike the air fields from which the federal Nigerian Air Force launched their attacks against the civilian population in Biafra. On May 22, 1969, and over the next few days, Von Rosen and his five aircraft launched attacks against Nigerian air fields at Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin and other small airports. The Nigerians were taken by surprise and a number of expensive jets, including a few MiG-17 fighters and three out of Nigeria's six Ilyushin Il-28 bombers, were destroyed on the ground.[2]The Nigeria Airforce has built and used for several years now, a light trainer aircraft it dubs the Air Beetle. |
"Hope" is the thing with feathers— That perches in the soul— And sings the tune without the words— And never stops—at all— And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard— And sore must be the storm— That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm— I've heard it in the chillest land— And on the strangest Sea— Yet, never, in Extremity, It asked a crumb—of Me. ---Emily Dickinson |
Joagbaje:^So whether or not to have cosmetic surgery is one of Life's tough questions? ![]() And the man only treated the question in shallow, callow, superficial manner. newmi:You would spit at scripture verses like the rabid dog you are, foaming at the mouth. . . Unless it came out of your "Rhapsody of Errors", you wouldn't understand it. The only thing you want to hear are self-affirming platitudes, worshiper of Mammon and Chris Oyaks. Now tell us. What is the difference between Lot's wife and Abraham? While you are it, do answer these questions: aletheia: |
Barr rich:^Explain this then: And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Believing and following Jesus is logical, consistent and reasonable otherwise. . . And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, (Act 17:2) And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (Act 18:4) And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. (Act 18:19) And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. (Act 18:19) The gospel seems like foolishness to unbelievers but it is by no means unreasonable. Barr rich:^Spare us these specious words. 39 million naira is not small change. . .it would appear that despite the pretense, Chris does not have the gnosis to discern between tainted and untainted gifts. Ironic, considering that "lesser" ones like Elisha knew when to receive or decline gifts. . .and we 've been told that Chris is a god. |
Barr rich:^What a lawyer, you are! This argument will not hold in any court of law. And so it is revealed that this is actually the only argument you can muster, for the facts of the case are well known. I maintain: aletheia: |
Barr rich:^Is that all you 've got? Yes, I am not a lawyer but I am not blinded by love of money to call what is bad good. Woe to you! Please respond to the points raised and stop dancing around: . . .see the crooks lining up, behind a fake lawyer. Barr rich:By your own words highlighted in red above, you reinforce what I said and further indict Chris Oyakhilome as a felon. I find it outstanding that a supposed "lawyer" like you; a "good Christian lawyer" according to your comrade in thievery - Joagbaje - does not understand the words you yourself wrote above. How do you argue your clients' cases in court? Please recall these words in post #130 of this thread: The prophets of Mammon and disciples of Balaam are at it again. . .trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Chris Oyakhilome is a thief according to the Laws of Nigeria: Section 427 of the Criminal Code thus makes receiving anything which has been obtained through the commission of crime also a crime. It is immaterial that the property was not obtained through such a crime in Nigeria. This offence is itself geared towards discouraging stealing and protection of property. Under the Penal Code receiving stolen property is covered by section 316.How do I know that Chris Oyakhilome is a thief; 1) The goods in question were stolen and he took possession of them: Lawrence Agada, general cashier of Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, will not forget January 12, in a hurry. On that fateful day, Chris Oyakhilome, pastor of Christ Embassy Church , Oregun, prophesied in a letter to him that God would do mighty things in his life. “He will cause you to excel and lift you up so high that the world can’t but take notice of you, in Jesus name. Amen.” Agada attracted the prophecy for sowing a seed of a 250 KVA generator valued at N4.4 million to the headquarters of Christ Embassy.2) The claims that he did not know that the goods in question were stolen falls flat, because it is clearly established that this was brought to his attention: In Agada’s letter to Oyakhilome made available to Newswatch, he informed the pastor formally that he removed funds belonging to Sheraton Hotel to the tune of N39 million. He said he used the money for “various projects and seeding and blessing of brethren in the church without due authorisation from my organisation.”Moreover Chris Oyakhilome can. . .be deemed to have such knowledge if judging from circumstances of the case, a reasonable man ought to have suspected the property in question to have been stolen. Certainly common sense not to talk of the Holy Spirit would have told Chris that as a cashier with no visible other source of income, Agada certainly could not be in a position to afford such "sowing". A genuine pastor will ask questions but the greedy and rapacious lupine that is Chris deliberately and willfully ignored this. 3) Even the pastor of the Ifako branch was willing to do the right thing but for. . . Imonivwerha said soon after the confession of Agada, officials of Sheraton Hotel took a tour of the respective churches to verify his claims. He said the team, which included Agada himself, sighted the big generator and chairs at the headquarters of Christ Embassy. According to him, Christine Davidson-Ekeh, head of mission at Christ Embassy, admitted that Agada acquired both the generator and the chairs for the church. So I maintain that not only is Chris Oyakhilome a thief but he is a modern Pharisee who so loves money As seen above the ruling in R v. Osakwe [1963] All N.L.R. 362, which sets a precedent declares that: "it can be deemed that you are in possession (by virtue of the fact that the stolen property is in possession of someone over whom you have control or authority", so even if Chris Oyaks did not directly receive the stolen property, he is culpable. . .but the facts do show that he did take possession of the stolen goods: Chris Oyakhilome, pastor of Christ Embassy Church , Oregun, prophesied in a letter to him that God would do mighty things in his life. “He will cause you to excel and lift you up so high that the world can’t but take notice of you, in Jesus name. Amen.” Agada attracted the prophecy for sowing a seed of a 250 KVA generator valued at N4.4 million to the headquarters of Christ Embassy. Barr rich:^ ![]() All of una be thief. Which kind miracle go make cashier get 39 million naira out of thin air, donate am to church and the thieving pastor and thieving church members no go ask wetin happen, how him take get the money? I repeat, all of una wey dey defend this stealing on this thread be thief. Una go do worse than Lawrence Agada. KJV: I Timothy Chapter 6 [6] But godliness with contentment is great gain. [7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. [8] And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. [9] But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. [11] But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
