Work had definitely started between 9th mile and Amansea. I passed there just a few days ago. Its only the incorrigibly mischievous that would claim otherwise.
The real issue is who is actually responsible? I was told it was Enugu govt, not FG. |

why all the hatred?
I'm aware Ugwuayi started rehabilitating the old road section of Enugu-Awka, which was previously built by Chime. However, I also know rehabilitation has commenced at the Enugu-Awka Expressway, especially the stretch close to amasea. ITs very unlikely that its been done by the state govt
But really, is the hatred for PMB so intense that 'they' can't even bear the thought that FG would be magnanimous enough to overlook their pettiness and bring succour to ALL parts of Nigeria, SE inclusive?
Whats really the issue here? why all the bile? |

Emekamex: I dont get why some folks who claim to be sophisticated always bring up the argument "why didnt you vote for Buhari". Every Nigerian has a right to choose and should not be blackmailed by threats of marginalization for not voting your preferred candidate. We are backward as a nation because we tend to play bitter politics, I cant imagine if Obama did the same by treating those that didnt vote for him badly. What most folks find unpardonably distasteful about your ilk is the sheer hypocrisy and stupefying clannish inclinations. You adulate GEJ for being the best thing to have happened to the region since the discovery of colour television, and on the same breath, bemoan the neglect of the region by FG. Irony. Some would even - incredulous as it seems - blame PMB for the neglect, willfully ignoring the fact that the dearly beloved benefactor rode the saddle for the better part of 5 years and oversaw unprecedented inflow of revenue. Yet no single tangible project in the region. (DO NOT MENTION ENUGU AIRPORT!!!!!) Just for the records, I do not support any region being denied Fg presence because their political affiliation. It is wrong.but you guys should stop this your clannish habit. it is irritating. |

Asai: where you born yesterday? When ever I look like 10 years before GEJ I understand why every support given to him is well deserved. We had close to non existing electricity infrastructure (both on generation and distribution levels), no standard airport etc but today at least we can now discuss on how to further it. Our roads were always not included in budgets or most of the time done in meanless batches but only him took it to him self to include roads which was abandoned for more than fourth years into his budgets. At least now we can ask why is this and that abandoned? Unbelievable!! Which airport? which electricity and which road? keep deceiving yourself |

sochukwuiwu: Hello Seun,
It is true that being in the Nation Nigeria is good but we have to be fair and sincere to each other. I don't know how old you and but you need to know why the people feel the way they feel. The way ended 46 years ago but it is still raging in the minds of the leaders of Nigeria like OBJ, Buhari and co.
if you don't know let me tell you. 1. 2 million ibo's were killed in cold blood in that war 2. No compensation paid to these people till date 3. at the end of the war every money you have was taken away and you are given 20pounds even if you have 1million pounds. 4. Properties owned by ibo's were termed abandoned properties across the nation. 5. Some families were extinct
If this is past let it be past. Tell me what any successive government has done in that region from 1970 that is visible. Once a typical Nigerian politician says we will not let ibo's go has scored a political point.
What we want is a country that will create enabling platform for all citizens and not slowing others down because of greed, sectionalism. I know you are enjoying the mess right from Gowon till date. Your future and the future of your children depends on what this nation is today unless you have people who have taken enough money from the Government but people need to move on.
If one Nigeria is the way then we truly need to be one Nigeria. President Buhari has he visited any part of South East? NO. We must not vote for him or share the same political ideology with him. Why people did not vote for him was simple. In his days as President and PTF chairman I challenge you and anyone in naira land to mention one program he did in the south east. If it is books for school children then people voted in ignorance. That is what informed the decision and he is doing the same as the president you elected even though some people voted him from the region.
In all, I blame my Governors, my leaders for all the mess. if they should avoid corruption and offer selfless service to the people the region will change and then economic prosperity of the nation will depend on their ingenuity but what do you see today monsters who fight their way to the corridor of power.
In summary, if you are in the shoes of the Ibo's till date you will feel the same way. There is need for total reconciliation and in as much as that is not done this feeling will be there. The reconciliation may be emotional in nature, integration in nature, political in nature and may not be in monitory terms. Strange. I could have sworn certain Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was in the saddle for 5+ years, and needless to add, despite the neglect, your people voted overwhelming to have him "continue his good work". Just to site one example, Enugu-onitsha road, arguably one of the most popular and strategic roads in the S/east was in the same shameful, decrepit and deplorable state for all his tenure. Renovation just started few months ago. |

It pains an average Muslim to see a northern girl with a name like 'Aisha Bello' and she a Christian!

but the technic is very hard to learn..
you have to dig very deep in the ground to earnest the thermal heat of the earth as energie...its not easy.. The problem with the power sector is not really the technique to be used, but corruption, corruption, corruption. The more money is sunk into the sector, the more it dissapears into the personal bank accounts of the usual culprits (they know themselves) Until the corruption in that sector is dealt with, its all futile effort. . . |

The truth all our leaders right from OBJ to PMB have failed us totally when it comes to power. OBJ and GEJ are alleged to have sunk an almost unfathomable sum of $60billion in the power sector. With about $3million per megawatt according to US EIA estimates(actually the highest estimates - it may be far lower than that) that figure should give us nothing less 20,000MW!!!!! But what do we have?? a measly 4000MW. sad |

Somebody should tell Mumu Buhari to stop sending his goons to abduct other peoples wives and 8 month old infant babies and to stop trying to traumatise them, lock them up and destroy their lives simply because they are married to or fathered by opposition politicians and those he hates. The truth is that Buhari is nothing more than a coward and a bully and he will suffer the consequences of his actions because God will punish him. One wonders how a country of 180 million resilient, hard-working, educated, enterprising, adventurous, courageous, cheerful, charitable, forgiving, kind, God-loving, God-fearing and strong-willed people ended up with a President from the dark ages like this? The bitter truth is as follows: Nigeria is being run by a small cabal of hardened, violent, merciless, paranoid, incompetent, relentless, cow-loving religious bigots who are also closet paedophiles, chronic misogynists and ravenous sodomites. Choi!! Certainly no fan of FFK, but you have to hand it to him, the nigga can deliver some well aimed TKOs! |
