I tell you. That road too smooth and wide. When I was younger I dey do 140-160kph steady on that stretch. But now with maturity I dare don't try it. Apart from the adrenaline rush, overspeeding is really not worth it.

The only way a transport coy will compensate a passenger is in the event of death, injury or permanent disability. No where on the terms is kidnapping part of insurance cover for passengers. So I don't seem to understand your case with the coy. The coy wasn't responsible for kidnapping, and also wasn't responsible for the resulting injuries cos it wasn't caused by their bus nor services. You should be grateful the man even offered to help with 500k. Nigerians should stop all these sentimental acts. If you sue guo they will win with no case cos their insurance probably didn't cover cases of kidnapping. At best they can be sorry cos they are humans and customers involved. That's all.

Let's be sincere. Infrastructure wise, GEJ was a monumental failure as far SE is concerned.

I don't think there's anymore strategic road other than Enugu-Onitsha, yet for 5yrs of GEJ, and unprecedented inflow of petrodollars, it was a eyesore.

I passed Umuya stretch a few days ago and found myself saying a silent prayer for PMB. What would take close to 30mins aching gallops and dust inhalation (those familiar know what I'm talking about), I breezed through the newly asphalted road in less than 5 mins.

Just that PMB too dey fall hand sometimes. . .

It is shocking to enter some of there stalls and not a single firefighting equipment, yet almost every year you hear of such fires resulting in losses worth millions - far higher than the cost of the extinguisher.
