he should be responsible for her upkeep because he is the only one that concieved the pregnancy abi? why did she open her legs when she knew she didn't have a good source of income?
Grupo:
Why blame the man?

You should rather blame the two of them for fuuccking when they know they don't have the means to train a child.
Una dey talk like say no be Naija una dey.

Fact is how many of such women esp at that socioeconomic level have to guts to refuse the husbands demands? Most times the fault is almost exclusively the men - speaking from experience

I don't think it's just a case of goat theft. I've never seen or heard where an 'innocent' animal is burnt together with the thief.

It's probably something far more sacreligious like....

What if people come out on the streets and demand that the illegal president elect be impeached or senators recalled? Will he be arrested?
How exactly is he illegal president elect? Isn't he already the f@@*ing substantive president based on the 2015 which is yet to expire?

While I admire his guts, Timi should speak with sense and not empty rambling like FFK and the likes

[s]100% truth. Buhari is not supposed to still be on that seat if we had sense in this country. Will court remove him? Only time will tell

Buhari said he's fighting corruption while Yusuf emerged 4th richest President child with a $2.9 billion worth by just sitting in Aso rock eating "mama Thank you" thrice a day. And their useless supporters are still struggling with N- power job and NYSC allowance

Edited: Those quoting me, na Forbes talk am, no bi me. And Yes, it's possible as President's son. Do you know how many 'greasing' of hands he receives on daily basis by those trying to get favour from his father? NDDC boss son in PH comes to mind too. If you have never been in the corridors of power, you won't understand[/s]
In as much as I criticize this current administration, what you posted above is totally false.

$2.9b ?? shocked not even naira, dollar for that matter. Abeg softly o.

Health › Re: Anambra Assembly Bans Marriage Of Sickle Cell Carriers by alezzy13: 9:34pm On May 01, 2019
eyinjuege:
If you're not interested in considering the option of abortion, there are always other options like IVF where before the egg is even implanted, you know the scores.
Sickle cell disease is just a disease like many chronic diseases. It can be managed. They shouldn't be stigmatized, and definitely not the carriers.
I understand the risks involved if 2 carriers marry each other, but that should be their own decision after going through the pros and the cons.
Do we say mature women in their late 30s and 40s shouldn't marry again because the risk of producing Down Syndrome babies is higher in them?
Useless laws like this can be applied to so many scenarios, and until it touches something that is dear to you before you realise it's a law that doesn't make sense in this 21st century.
The government should have no business on who you decide to take as a life partner.
If the laws of the land prohibits marriage between carriers of the disease, perhaps they can decide to cohabit and start having children like that. What has the law achieved then? They haven't broken any law as they've not married, but that still hasn't reduced the risk of having sicklers has it?
Have you come across a sickle cell sufferer? I truly doubt it. That's probably why you can write these essays.

My uncle buried not one but TWO of his children to the dreaded disease and that was after a life of unending trips to the hospital and watching writhing in agonizing pain while in crisis.

True, the law not solve the problem totally but it sends a strong message. In fact i would suggest that any couple that knowingly brings a child with SS into the world should be treated as case of manslaughter.

Stop saying what you don't know. What OP said is very correct. Thanks to yahoo boiz most of such companies ban Nigerian users.

In fact it was only recently paypal included us among those list, but it's only personal acc, ie, you can only send but not receive. Even at that it's not all of our cards that will work.

Ben is the low IQ person here! So, you want them to pass a law forcing a family unit to have one child? Nonsense! Fundamental human right: Right to private life!
Really? So what about the rights of the child?

Is it proper that my former maiguard who makes just about 15k having 7 children just because its his right?

It may not be as drastic as the one child policy but we need to tackle the population issue head on. Personally we should have a cap of no more than 3/ family

Is population the reason for our stagnant economy?
Not directly, but it (overpopulation) is a major contributor.

Its not a popular fact given its sensitivity, but it must be said all the same: too many poor people are giving birth to far too many children.

Nigeria is a conservative country.
Yes, it is against the laws of Nigeria, it is only overlooked as we don't have a strong policing and judiciary.

pls remember we are still Africans and not the west our laws emanate from our conservative believes.

Conservative my left ball. With all our (fake) 'conservativeness' we still have one of highest rates if STIs including HiV in the world.

Conservative? Na hypocrisy is a better word.
