wirinet: The summery did not even exonerate Trump. This is what Barr wrote; " there isn't enough evidence to conclude that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government in order to interfere with the 2016 election"
This is subject to many different interpretations. Here are 4 different interpretations of Barr's conclusion depending on who is doing the interpretating;
There was no collusion.
There was collusion, but Mueller couldn't find enough evidence to meet a legal burden of proof.
There was collusion, but not with the Russian government. There was collusion with the Russian government, but not to interfere with the 2016 election. It seems people forget both Barr and Rosenstein are employees of Trump. Personally I'll wait for the full, unedited report |

madridsta007: Logic in this case is simple: Available medical research shows, quite simply, that the fellow is likely to become a carrier of the disease and, in climes such as Nigeria where medical care is pathetic, would give birth to kids who will suffer from the same disease. Possible consequence will be grief, sickness, cost of medical care and possible, death. So, you avoid it.
Have you ever seen children who are sicklers? Or grew up close to them? You will understand better when I argue that these things should be treated with common-sense and avoided.
I understand that Nigeria is a society where the belief in miracles and magic trumps medical research and reasoning, hence even this simple explanation of mine will be questioned. Which is fine. Stop spreading falsehood. As long as she adhere to her medication, the chances of infectioning her husband or even her child is near zero. Confirm by research |

Koolking: If govt allow estimated billing to continue, it will be a disservice to the Nigerian people. Govt should criminalise it like yesterday. Nigerians are made to pay through the nose for service not enjoyed. Discos make more money from estimated billings than actual billings.
These Discos are full of criminal elements, Nigerian way of doing business. You want to charge more for epileptic service? Charge Nigerians more for almost non-existent service?
Make the service available, no one will complain of your cost-reflective pricing proposal. Lol! Chicken or the egg issue. Most will claim that the reason they can't make the light 247 is BECAUSE of the lack of a cost-reflective pricing. Not holding brief for them, but it's a complex issue which was flawed right from the outset, and so there are no easy fixes. I recall readin in one of the daily where virtually all discos refuse to collect more power from the gencos because they don't have the money to pay back. In fact apart from Ikeja and Enugu disco almost all have siad they've been operating at constant loses since inception. Banks also refuse them credit. Yola disco has been even up for sale but no buyer |

onez: Yakubu is the worst. Maurice Iwu presided when our democracy was young with little electoral law. INEC budget was also very low. He did his bit though performed woefully. As for Yakubu, with a budget running into hundreds of billions and he can only deliver this sham, he deserve the worst INEC chairman. Guy stop that. Let's be reasonable. Both umpires got the money they needed, and both had enabling laws to guide them. Biko, which one be "little electoral law"? Do recall that even the international community were unanimous in their conclusion that the elections were among the worst ever known? But for what its worth, most have commended this years' election, save for a few hitches Im not holding brief for Yakubu but you just cannot compare both umpires. Apart from his annoying "inconclusive" elections leading to reruns ( which by the way is favoring the opposition in most cases) you really cant accuse Yakubu of systematic rigging like the case of IWU. |

Politics › Re: Osun Election Tribunal’s Judgment: Live Update by alezzy13: 10:57pm On Mar 22, 2019 |
muykem: Currently, electoral act has withdrew the power of judges to deduct or add dispute votes rather they can cancel the election in those places and asked for rerun. It is no longer duty of judges to add or subtract as in this case. Interestingly this is the position of the tribunal chairman who incidentally disagreed with the majority decision of his two colleagues. By invalidating the votes in question, they (tribunal) have turned themselves into another umpire, powers which they don't possess. The best they can do is ask for a rerun. But for what it's worth, the position of PDP is compelling as well, to wit: there was NO NEED for cancellation in the first place since the presiding officer of d unit(s) didn't recommend such. Are the precedents to these scenarios? Lawyers in the house. |

Business › Re: How To Start Egg Distribution/supply Business In Nigeria by alezzy13: 8:48pm On Mar 19, 2019 |
formular2002: As much as i love the tenacity and optimism of the OP, the truth is that Egg dealership is becoming harder this days because farmers now sell directly to retailers and even consumers. And another point is that prices now go for around 1k per crate, even from the farm. So dealership is profitable only on a large scale where supply is done on a large scale and a unit marginal profit can make sense on the long run. Though with God, all things are possible but realities are there for us to see. Kudos to the OP for the write-up my thoughts as well. I really wonder where one can still get a crate for 650 for this Naija. |
