Part off the problem is mismanagement. We used to have this problem of poor sanitary condition at uniben hostels. But just at the turn of the millennium, it was given to private contractors and the condition improved significantly. |
Politics › Re: Dangote: North Will Remain Poor Except… by alezzy13: 12:06am On Apr 04, 2019 |
TheFreeOne: 19 northern states which accounts for 54% of nigerias population and 70% of its landmass only generates 21% of total subnational IGR for 2017.
Should we call it a big for nothing region?.
The only thing their leaders are good at is 'leeching' on the national resources via the usual powergrabs while ignoring the downtrodden people to their fate.
Northern leaders are the problem of the north and the earlier their educated youths revolts against their selfish political elites the better for their future.
And I still stand by my believe that it will be better for us all the country be restructed into regions or split up for each region / country to develop at its own paces so that those that want real development will go for it while those in love with religious extremism can likewise follow their own path. @bolded, that will be very unlikely. Mainly because 1.they are relatively far fewer in number, and 2.a number of such educated youth are usually offspring of the ruling class and so benefit from the status quo. |

chozzy: One of GEJ's many legacies.
I mean, the federal University in Ebonyi and the Federal University Teaching Hospital.
So, VP is happy to name GEJ's project after somebody but will run his mouth with lies about how PDP did nothing There is NO "federal University teaching hospital" in Ebonyi. Stop telling lies. The previously owned state hospital was simply converted to federal when the former gov found it difficult to fund the hospital. BTW the name is Federal Teaching Hospital. |

The previous state teaching hosp was converted to federal by Onyebuchi when he was minister. |

thatigboman: At 3.40pm? What da hell. So abuja kaduna federal highway is now a no go area or what? Road I used to travel through at 5 or 6pm. You say 5-6pm? For me 2009-2011, I used to ply the road in the dead of the night with no issues. Then I'll leave Kano around 5pm after work to Abuja, and by the time I get there it could be as late 8pm sometimes. And mind you there was almost no checkpoint till one gets close to zuba, yet hardly any case of kidnapping. Its really sad how security on that road has deteriorated. |

frowland: No, you have to go back to the origin. The beginning. Was he qualified to contest in the first place? If the answer is no, then the deputy unfortunately is out of the equation. You have to go to either the runner up in PDP primaries OR the person who came second in the election but this two case is subject to legal interpretation. I see. |

sonofElElyon: You seem to be relying on the law in response to the Kogi abubakar audu situation. It is not on all fours with this. Abubakar audu was validly chosen and was indeed his party's candidate until his death whereas if the adeleke judgement stands, it would mean his emergence as pdp's candidate was void ab initio and he was never the candidate and his deputy on the ticket was never the deputy governorship candidate. Therefore the rotimi amaechi court decision is applicable here. No be small thing. So all that dance for nothing?? |
