Engine overhauling (ringing) is a delicate job which most times doesn't gives perfect results. An experienced auto mechanic (a banker and engineer with a decent auto workshop business) once told me that auto engineers abroad do not 'ring' engines because the variables to control for perfection are too many, and the slightest error can result in a poor job. Talking about things as minor as ambient temperature, dust, technique, quality of parts etc.

Think of that in the context of our 'professional' Nigerian auto mechanics!

Your car engine has inevitably lost some compression (power/pressure) due to the work done, thus the engine is not producing as much torque (rotational force) as it was originally designed to. Therefore when you switch on your AC - which is basically adding the AC compressor load to the engine - the engine struggles. It may not be such a problem if you're on the highway but will be more noticeable in traffic with AC on.

In summary, your car engine will last longer if you don't use the AC on it anymore, but even at that I think you should prepare your mind for engine or car replacement in the near future.

182 days at 12% is 12.77% yield
and 91days at 10.5% is 10.75%

MMFs at 12.5-13% are available alternatives for the short term. Those funds locked in some instruments already at 15%, so they should be able to support their current yield levels for at least one more quarter.

Meanwhile advice to anyone wishing to go longer tenor for Treasury bills to hold his breath at these times. I used to complain bitterly about slow Glo network on my former phone which isn't compatible with Glo 4G.

N9billion is chicken change to all the mainstream banks in Nigeria. But that doesnt mean they would pay it without a fight; these banks wouldnt even pay poor customers 10k without a battle, let alone billions. But for anyone to actually think a N9b payoff or fine can get any mainstream bank in Nigeria distressed, let alone one of the biggest in the league (GTB), then such a person must really be swimming in deep ignorance.
