realchange:LOL Afam4eve case is peculiar. I can never hurt anyone. Not in this life or the next in as much as Afam4eve yarn crap about my people, I still feel that we are one and we can agree to disagree whether he even advocates hate for my people, I still see afam4eve and indeed all my Igbo brothers and Sisters on NL as One and the same as me and my people. I never discriminate both real life and NL ![]() Just so you are sure, Afam posted today, ![]() |
kingoflag:Right I see your point. I don't recommend it to both my yoruba and Igbo friends and family members Yes that is right, I have Igbos in my family . Respect is reciprocated. But if you spend some time here you would see what I mean. They are trying to bring civil war topic on every thread and while doing so trying to paint the Yorubas as betrayals and northerners as blood thirsty people . Spend sometime you would observe this. Now unlike the northerns, the yorubas in nature are mouthy people, fact and don't take crap from people. Most of the time they never mean what they say but my eastern brothers are emotional and take this to heart, they also feel isolated at times and thus they are paranoid to what people say on NL. you see this are 2 distinct people of different ideology. |
realchange:LOL abeg no kill pesin I knew it was him because I know his name and know his face That is my point, It would be dumb to hurt anyone based on his views on be it he hates my people and yet live among them as if it is normal ![]() Thank God I do not hate Igbos and don't show hate to them all i do is response to threads they have opened as well. silly but must be done, lol KILL ME why |
Nadanbata:Which electricity, It is going to "security" which amounts to a 3rd - half of the National budget also NDDC gets 58 billion naira. |
ak47mann:53/45 could be seen as a riot Let me remind you that at that point we were operating on regionalism and still have not gotten our independence. What were the British doing when those riots occured ? If not that there was not riot or a very minor fracas |
realchange:Yes the east is heterogenous but I can tell you not as hetrogenous as the north In the north central/north east alone, there are more ethnic groups than the entire south. FACT |
kingoflag:Oboy, I think you should have taken your friend's advice. the trouble makers on this forum are clear but you chose to pick Neutrals. why ? when did you join NL to be advicing Ileke-idi and co to stop tribalsim ? Did you know they were not tribal before until the igbos on NL pushed them these people were not tribal at all. CheneyereN was and still the most sane Igbo we have on this forum, couple with others like Abagworo and manny4life etc the rest are nothing to write home about even the mumu called One Naira that quoted you. So I would advice you to know the threads you read because I don't think things would get better on NL. In Fact what till Ezeuche aka PointB and Nchara are on there menstrual period again, you would see wonders.
GBAM!!!!! My friend it’s like you are narrating my mind. I've read as far back as I can trying to understand where it all went wrong on Naira land and what you said on the bolded speaks volume even I have been guilty of such in one or two threads. Most of my friends are non-Nigerians, before joining this forum they warned me against it. A South African once gave the same advice to Nigerians on this forum but rather than some individuals heeding his advice instead his country and his people were bashed. Where is the South African now? He left this site. A Ghanaian member once an open-minded person turned tribalistic to Nigerians all because of this forum. African-American and other African diaspora are bashed daily on this forum, sometimes I understand out of retaliation but most times it is not. Most of my non-Nigerians friends have a misconception that there are more bigots and racist in Nigerian than not and their only support of this misconception is this forum. I used to defend Nigerians, I even joined this website hoping to change their misconception but it pains me to conclude they were right. Shame. It just shows you the image Nigerians are creating of themselves
Shut it. If a crime is commented by someone, so why should not bring it out just because he is from ur ethnic group ? Most people are oblivious to ethnicity when crime is commented until people liek you show ur ugly head. Mumu pesin. nku5:Bros leave that side, if it was promoting Rwanda genocide as you call it, I should have killed Afam4eve in Lagos when I saw him. But I did not and I clearly spoke with him but he did not know I was Alj harem so all this internet talk only gets to Igbos not to Hausawa or Yoruba I can tell you that. Best thing to avoid tribal battle is do not insult the yorubaman's leader or way of life and you are OK Do not insult Islam or the northern leader, and you would be fine Do not insult Igbo culture or Ojukwu and you would be fine. fact, I would not kill someone just because he insulted Awolowo or Bello . That would be sooooo stu.pid of me wouldn't it be ? |
noblezone:The north is ethnically hetrogenous just like most conflict areas and there are indigene settler war going on. Take a look at South, conflict goes on everyday as well but just not documented. Again their are extremist in recent times. Mind you, this did not use to happen during Bello time. It started recently due to poor leadership by the northern leaders. Why ? Because they have turned a blind eye to the change that is going on around them. |
Reggie2:Hmmmm, so you think anyone of us or any northerner would justify the killing of the innocent based on gloating ? dude people are not that heartless All we did is try to explain what happened and how extremist used the opportunity to cause a riot. Thus we as a people can learn from our mistakes by not allowing ourselves to be manipulated by extreme individuals for their own selfish gain. Only a retarrd would justify the killing of civilians. Only a mo.ron Also I would like to add that it has nothing to do with northerners but individuals |
Beaf: ; lolsorry beaf but I have a question for u How does the government intend to remove subsidy and also remove NNPC a federal own Oil company ? shey you no see say na kasala be this what this fuel subsidy removal palava. LOL I would really like to this how this turns out. ![]() |
Dis Guy:yeah seriously there are more private school built in the last 20 years In Nigeria than any other country the so called public schools like KC QC etc are now rubbished by schools like BIS etc also are you aware that the public schools in Nigeria is not excatly public You still end up paying about 5000 Naira or so every term. they would ask that u buy the school uniform from them at high prices compulsory books according to them. ( Library is nothing to write home about) term registration fees about 3000 Naira ( they would tell you it is not school fees but registration) etc for what, crap education ? I would always advice any parent to send their children to private schools (primary and secondary). The public schools in those dayz are not the way they are now. KC aka King college Lagos was one of the best secondary school in Africa back in the days but now it is a shadow of it's former self. As for Universities,I would always advice people to go for Federal University because University is not just about education but also exposure aka experiencing life in a micro community. It is better to go to a Public university with a 2.1 than go to a private university with a 2.1. Why because the 2.1 graduate in a public university does not only have a high IQ but also streetwise and can use his digression and common sense when it is needed. Of course a 1st in a public or private university is a genius. |
Ekiti bomb blast: OPC rules out Boko Haram The Oodua Peoples Congress OPC, on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of the Boko Haram sect being involved in Monday’s bomb blast at the INEC office in Ekiti. Founder of the OPC, Dr Federick Faseun, disclosed this in Lagos. According to him, “Nigeria should not put every episode of violence on the laps of the Boko Haram. I won’t subscribe to Boko Haram being responsible for the Ekiti bombing’’. He said that security operatives must find and fish out those responsible for the dastardly act, otherwise, the nation would continue to look at Boko Haram, while other people take advantage to commit crimes. INEC office in Ikole Ekiti was on Monday bombed by unidentified persons. The bombing came just two days after the INEC conducted a re-run election to fill the vacant seat of the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, which was won by the Action Congress of Nigeria , ACN, candidate, Oyetunde Ojo. The INEC Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Taiwo Gbadegesin, whose office was razed in the explosion, said that no life was lost in the incident. However, Police spokesman of Ekiti State, Mohammed Jimoh, said that explosive experts had been deployed to investigate the incident and its cause. It will be recalled that the OPC last Thursday carried out a massive protest in Lagos against the activities of the Boko Haram sect and the poor security situation in Nigeria. Faseun, however, said that the OPC was ready to take up the security of the South-West, if security operatives continued to exhibit incompetence in tackling crime. afam4eva:shut it if u don't understand the reason for OPC demonstration |
texazzpete:thus private schools are doing the job well. not many people take their children to public secondary schools. the university bit, i agree with u on that |
Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the petroleum subsidy allocation money have moved directly into the Capital Expenditure account since their claim was to free up money for infrastrucural development/building? How will that money be accounted for now? Also what is "Niger Delta" account? NDDC, has it own minitry and they have to be paid. imagine fct too getting a similar amount 2012 Fiscal year budget breakdown: Capital Expenditure: N1.32 Trillion,Reccurent(non debt) Expenditure: N2.472 Trillion,Statutory Transfer: N398 Billion,Debt servicing: N560 Billion Other sectors Security: N921.91 Billion Power: N161.42 Billion Works: N180.8 Billion Education: N400.15 Billion Health: N282.77 Billion Agriculture: N78.98 Billion Water Resources: N39 Billion Petroleum Resources: N59.66 Billion Aviation: N49.23 Billion Transportation: N54.8 Billion Land and Housing; N24.9 Billion Niger Delta: N59.7 Billion Science and Tech: N30.84 Billion FCT : N45.59 Billion Communication and ICT: N18.31 Billion |

University of Nssuka, has a very well sound science and technology school in it, or so I have heard. Why not invest more there so the PhD students can put their creativity to test ? |
VoodooDoll:Thanks but I also disagree the case of armed robbery, thuggery and co can be liken to those attributes you mentioned In cases such as Boko haram, OPC, MEND etc That has nothing to do with health, education etc As for aljmajiris, it has a lot to do with the government investing more on the educational sector, Yes I agree with that. |
Ttola: VoodooDoll:It is obvious why security budget would be higher As we can see, Boko haram is destroying this country slowly alongside Mend and Opc. The government got it this time around. |
oyb:thank you +10 abeg tell them the way it is |
coogar:do you get 3 toll gates within a space of 20 kilometre abroad on a popular district ? coogar:Why should lagos motorist pay tax when they are already taxed at work ? You care to answer coogar: what greater good ?what of the state generating more money from toll gates at the broader of the state rather than in the state ? ![]() |
odumchi:ok noted ![]() |
Eko Ile:dudeee haba !!!!!! the people of lagos pay taxes companies pay tax imported good state tax is taken the FG gives Lagos state money Lagos state generates it's own money from state university (which is going to be increased btw), etc What other money does Lagos state want ? The roads he is building are not for free but Lagosian money also is not for free, so what are your on about 3 toll gates I hope you can beg fashola for us to pls rethink that toll gate issue. thanks |
POTUT:+10 |
I really hope everyone is ok. Nigeria needs really restructuring of it's security force. |
odumchi:LOL, I wanted to say Onlytruth is my very good friend ezigbo = good oyi'm = my friend/ friend of mine gi = is Trying to join words together ![]() still learning, I hope I get the Igbo language ![]() |
Onlytruth:I accept your hand of fellowship and also the new authority you have on this forum. I hope you would stand by the truth and try to make tribalism stop. Do this and I would act mature as well and stand by the truth as I have shown in previous months. ezigbo oyi'm gi Onlytruth. ![]() |
What a good thread, I so much enjoyed it. good ndi igbo Nairaland. I salute ![]() Mazi Eze Onlytruth, I salute you once again. |
the Igbos are more in number than any other ethnic group in this country. How does he know that ? Then two, when states were being created, Cross River didn't have a population to be a state: the old Igbo territory starts from Obudu-Ogoja all the way Bansara and all those places. Why can't cross river and rivers state be a state ? does Imo have the population to be state ? or ekiti or zamfara ? After the West walked out on Zik after the elections and many of the Yorubas decamped, so they decided to fight to create the Midwest region. In other words, the Midwest region was meant to be another Igbo region Karma is a bi.tch. LOL |
