Regarding the HIV testing rates: SW - 9% SS -11% SE -23% NC - 5% NW - 2% NE - 3% It looks like that zones which have the highest infection rates in Nigeria (SE and SS) also have the highest testing rates. Conversely, the zones with the lowest HIV infection rates (SW, NW, NE, NC minus Benue) have low testing rates. Interesting. Only briefly skimmed through this doc though, there may be more that I missed.
Igbos are largely catholics and they always want to marry in the church which in turn mandates them to submit their HIV status. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-815022.0.html |
You people need to ask yourselves why these kinds of attacks did not take place 10 or 15 years ago. Give yourselves honest answers in the process please. Be sensitive as well.
Read your history foo. Fulanis invaded Yorubaland in the 19th century and masscared many from Kwara to Oyo before the Yorubas mustered courage and massacred them back. Hausa/Fulani massacred the igbos in 1948 in present day Kano Nigeria and so on. If you claim it didn't happen 15 years ago, what about Zango-Kataf?. The tiv massacre is a new thing, I think they are through with masscring Berom which they started more than 8 years ago. They are slowly coming down south and their next victim will be either Igbos in Cross River or Nsukka or Yorubas in Kogi. As long as we live with those marauders, jihad shall be our portion. Stop being foolish please and read your history. |

uplawal:Do you have evidence to show us that he didn't dump you?. Girl, you know he did, so don't lie. ![]() uplawal:My character is so bad because I speak the truth?. The truth is bitter and that's why people like you say my character is bitter. Should I resort to telling lies like Muhammad advised you people to do so as to have good character?. I'd rather please God than my fellow human. Back to what I was saying, consider whether your marriage is worth your soul and if you think it's worth your soul, carry on and hope for the best on the last day. You and I know that Jesus is the only one who sits on that throne. Marriage is a temporary thing and it is not smart to sell your soul to the devil over it. |
uplawal:You don't have to be old to have less chances of catching a man. You may be physically ugly and overweight and after looking at your chances in a world filled with pretty women, it is very smart to marry any man who comes your way even if he is satanic worshiper or Guru Maharaji member. I repeat, do not lose your soul because you want to keep a man. Let the man go and give your soul to Christ first, every other thing He will add unto you. No matter how ugly or fat you look, God has a way of making you shine before men and attract them. Tabari IX:137 - "Allah granted Rayhana of the Qurayza to Muhammad as booty.". Put your trust in God and you will always win instead of wasting your youth worshiping an Allah who granted you to your husband as booty, Asalaam Alaikum. |

uplawal:I find it difficult to understand you sometimes. He is a muslim and at the same time pastor, choirmaster, prayer warrior?. Also, you married the 2nd man because the first one dumped you and in a haste to make sure you don't get dumped again, you quickly accept Muhammad as your preferred prophet. YOU BECAME A MUSLIM BECAUSE OF HUSBAND AND NOT BY CHOICE. Na today?. I read all you write about Christianity and the more you try to cajole Christians, the more it is becoming obvious that you are not a happy muslim. You envy the children of Christ but due to the circumstances around you, it is difficult to dump Islam unless you want to be in the market again for a man. The bibles says that, "what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul[Mark 8vs 36]". So, what will you gain if you lose your own soul simply because you need to keep your husband?. This is a food for thought and while you are chewing on it, keep it private unless you want to be dumped by your husband with one hand missing. A muslim woman considering divorce is against sharia law and the punishment is cutting of hand. You need peace and I will continue to pray for you. |
uplawal:Because you married into Islam. Your family must be either disappointed in you or happy that you finally got a man. |
Ok oh, Tinubu no get airline again. This is why the US is afraid of Nigeria breeding suicide bombers because when a Nigerian wants to lie and defend something, he/she will do it wholeheartedly. See as Tinubu's disciples are defending him tooth and nail here as if there is something at stake. Not even his wife will defend him like this. Counterfeit Expert In Police Custody A man who specialises in forging documents belonging to the Lagos State government has been arrested by the police in Lagos. The suspect, Kolawole Felix Olaniyan, 32 who had been on the run since 2007, was arrested on Monday, 28 November, 2011, at Costain Bus Stop, Western Avenue, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria by policemen from Pedro Station, Somolu, Lagos https://pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/%E2%80%A2Kolawole-Felix.jpg •Kolawole Felix P.M.NEWS gathered that Olaniyan, notorious for producing fake vehicle plate numbers, driver’s licence, road worthiness documents and vehicle insurance was caught in his vehicle, a Chrysler Space van with registration number BD 553 RSH. The police discovered that his vehicle registration number, driver’s licence and other vehicle particulars were all forged. Police disclosed that when the vehicle was searched, forged road worthiness documents and others were recovered. In his confession to the police, the suspect allegedly admitted being a forger. “I am from Oke Oja, Ilorin, Kwara State and I was selling building materials while at the same time assisting people to procure vehicle particulars like driver’s licence, road worthiness documents and vehicle insurance. “At a time, I began to mix genuine documents with the fake particulars before I decided to concentrate more on the issuance of fake documents,” he wrote in his statement to the police. A police source told P.M.NEWS that many of his patrons believed that he was an official of the Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Office, VIO. “I decided to go underground when some of those I gave fake documents reported me to the police. I managed to escape and since then I have been on the run,” he confessed. — Ayodeji Dedeigbo http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/12/01/counterfeit-expert-in-police-custody/ |
Ajimobi employs 20,000 youths FROM GODWIN TSA, Abuja Friday December 02, 2011 In fulfillment of the poverty alleviation programme of his administration, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, yesterday inaugurated the state Youth Empowerment Scheme, (YES-O) during which 20,000 youths were offered immediate employment. The governor, while speaking during the inauguration at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium where all the 20,000 youths were gathered, urged them to be apostles and agents of change. At the programme, witnessed by eminent natives of the state, traditional rulers, top government officials and other stakeholders, Governor Ajimobi lamented the high rate of employment amongst the youth, saying the situation, if not addressed urgently, portended danger for the country. “The statistics of unemployment in Nigeria is indeed alarming,’’ he said, adding that of Nigeria’s 150 million population, about 40 million were unemployed. Because 45 per cent of the Nigerian population is between the ages of 15 and 40 years, the implication is that this menace of unemployment critically affects the youth. “The menace of unemployment poses great danger, not only to the Nigerian nation, but to the peace of this country at large. As it is said, if we don’t engage the youth, they will engage us,’’ Senator Ajimobi said. He described unemployment as a virus, which had eaten deep into the social fabrics of the nation, saying that it had caused social disquiet from the governed to the government and had the propensity to cause a revolt. According to the governor, unemployment is the harbinger of the spate of crime, kidnapping, perennial youth unrest and the acutely unstable socio-economic structure that had bedevilled Nigeria. “If we at the helm of affairs must continue to administer the country without any disequilibrium, an end must be made to come to the problem of unemployment in the country,’’ he said. Governor Ajimobi noted that before now, many administrations had developed a couple of ways of tackling the rising unemployment decimal in the country. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/dec/02/national-02-12-2011-003.html |
S-h-o-w o-f s-h-a-m-e •••As Police officers molest colleague in public on DECEMBER 1, 2011 · in CRIME ALERT By Godfrey Bivbere If it had happened to a civilian, it would have been seen as the normal police brutality but, when Police officers turn on their own, it becomes a case of dog eat dog. This was exactly the situation last Friday when three regular policemen on uniform, publicly molested their uniformed mobile colleague, giving him the beating of his life in front of the Lagos State University (LASU), and in the presence of a crowd of about 30 people who watched in disbelief. Crime Alert was among members of the public that watched the disgraceful scenario while sitting in front of a commercial bus with another policeman. The vehicle stopped and both the mobile policeman and our Correspondent got out to see exactly what was happening while the vehicle waited for the officer. https://vml1.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/police-fight.jpg On getting to the scene, the mobile policeman was seen, pinned to the ground inside the gutter at the middle of the expressway by two regular police officers while the third held him by his trousers the way they normally hold on to civilians or suspects. They alleged he was involved in escorting a vehicle without the necessary papers which is illegal in the Police Force. Efforts by the officer in the commercial bus to make peace was rebuffed by the Police team from Ojo who insisted that the mobile man, who was still on the ground, must go with them to the station. Exasperated with the continued insistence of the policemen, the mobile man that came to plead for his colleague ran back to the waiting commercial bus and drove off. Meanwhile, his colleague who was being manhandled by the policemen repeatedly explained that he was only given a lift by a van driver from mile2 as he was on his way to Ajangbade where he lives. But his fellow policemen would have none of it. The team from Ojo police station led by an Assistant Superintendent said to be the provost at the station, ordered his men to get the mobile policeman into the waiting patrol vehicle. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/s-h-o-w-o-f-s-h-a-m-e-%E2%80%A2%E2%80%A2%E2%80%A2as-police-officers-molest-colleague-in-public/ |
Human trafficking: Olubadan’s daughter, one other docked From GBENGA ADESUYI, Ibadan Thursday, December 01, 2011 Princess Folashade Olufunke Bankole, the daughter of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, was yesterday arraigned by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons in the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Princess Bankole alongside Mrs Folasade Adunni was arraigned on a two- count charge of human trafficking and child labour. In the charge sheet number FHC/IB/65c/2011, Bankole, (57) of No 42c, Ladoke Akintola Stree, Bodija, Ibadan and Adunni, alias Iya Ofiki (49) of Sango area, Saki, Oyo State, were alleged to have on or about January 2011, at number 42c Ladoke Akintola Street, Bodija, Ibadan within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court required Rukayat Isiaka (12) a female from the Republic of Benin to be used for forced labour in Nigeria and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(1) (a) of the trafficking in persons (Prohibition) Law Enforcement And Administration Act, 2003 as amended and punishable under the same Act. In count 2, Folashade Bankole was alleged to have under the same address and in the same jurisdiction of the court, employed Rukayat Isiaka from Republic of Benin as a domestic help outside her own home and from family environment and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22 (1) (d) of the traffic in persons (Prohibition) Law Enforcement and Administration Act, 2003 as amended and punishable under the same section of the Act. The two accused persons pleaded not guilty to the two- count charge. Bankole, a general manager at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ado-Ekiti station, was alleged to have severally assaulted Rukayat by inflicting injuries on her. A medical report from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) marked 9890 revealed that “Rukayat was allegedly assaulted by her boss (Bankole), with multiple healed scars on the scalp, from shoe heels. Healed burns scars on the shoulder, measuring 6.4cm laterally. Also marks on the dorsum of the right foreman also resembling burn injury. The possibility of the burn injury being from a hot iron is very high considering the sharp, defined edges.” In her statement at the office of NAPTIF, Bankole said she had never at anytime assaulted Rukayat. At yesterday’s sitting, the trial judge, Justice Jonathan Shakarho asked the counsel in the case to decide whether the allegation levelled against the two accused was a bailable one. The prosecution, Ganiyu Oluwarotimi, told the court that the accused were charged under Section 22(1)(A) of Human Trafficking Act which carries a five-year jail term with option of fine. Justice Sharkaho thereafter granted the two accused persons bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in the like sum, adding that the surety must submit two passport photographs. He then adjourned the case to January 25, 2012 for hearing. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/dec/01/national-01-12-2011-018.html |
