You see what Boko Haram and all the bombings and killings in the Northern parts of Nigeria in recent times have caused? Oyibo entertainers are refusing to come to this country for any show. They are going to other African countries but have vehemently refused to come here, especially after they were warned by their country to stay away from Nigeria, in the meantime. A few major shows in Nigeria have had to be cancelled because of this. R.Kelly, Ludacris, Keri Hilson were invited to perform at three different shows this December and they all turned it down. It's not like it's major issue but it's just not a good image for us,

Hopefully the killings and bombings will stop, and there will be peace again in our land,

Bottomline is everyone is wishing they had gone apart. Nobody is to blame here because no one knew the North will evolve to modern day terrorists someday. As a matter of fact, if the US and UK knew, they wouldn't have supported Nigeria during the civil war.

Beaf:

The moment they capture someone from a powerful country, is the moment the core-North will be forcefully subjugated.
The reason is clear, the US will not even remotely risk the possibility of another country with extremist idea's evolving out of Northern Nigeria; neither will they risk the possibility of extremists laying their hands on Nigeria's oil fields to hurt the US economy.
We are in for a wild ride indeed!
How do you plan to achieve that?.

LagosShia:

I stopped reading the BS after the third sentence.from there you would know it is all in a bid to promote propaganda and lies against Islam.can you imagine the third sentence?this is what it says and falsely alleges:

"We were taught never to question the truth of Islam and to believe in Allah and his messenger with blind faith".

at least i as a muslim should be able to know if that sentence is true or false.many times i have questioned my beliefs and found convincing answers to stay strong in it.and who "taught" them?nonsense!!!
Teacher teach me nonsense. You and I know that if I question Islam the way I do here in Kebbi state, my head would have been in their pot of stew by now. You have not questioned Islam enough else your case shall be like Salman Rushdie. Question us or die. Also, did the article lie in everything it Muhammad did?.Na waah for that guy o.

LagosShia:

the nonsense of the third sentence is more applicable to christians who dont read what is in their bible.it is also applicable to those christians who read the bible and know the nonsense that is in it and still stubbornly and blindly remain christians.it is not applicable to muslims who read their Quran hundreds of times and see its purity and imprints of divinity.

AS usual, always using Christianity as a bullet proof. What has Christianity gotta to do with this nice article?

Chiori:

There is more wisdom in what the Sardauna said than in Zik's posturing. For when there is a problem, you do not overcome it by forgetting it. No! You gain the upper hand by understanding the problem, thus seeing how you may surmount it. The real issue in Nigeria is that we have refused to understand our differences, and so the resultant hiccups have always caught us smack in the face, and we seem to be ever clueless and helpless. If understanding were forged, by now we would not be talking about the same fundamental challenges as were perceived in the 60s, and certainly the level of the development of Nigeria would have surpassed those of the Eurozone states. It is not late, however, for us to begin to truly understand our differences. For we shall then begin to see how we may live together, not as a nation, but as a state, in unity despite the differences.

So have you understood it since then?. How many years now and you are yet to understand the theorem called Nigeria?.

Muslims are the main victims of Islam. Our goal is to educate them and let them see the truth. We are against Islam and not the Muslims. We strive to bring the Muslims into the fold of humanity. Eradicate Islam so our people can be liberated, so they can prosper and break away from the pillory of Islam and poverty.
This is my mission.
Islam for Muslims / Apostates Of Islam by aloyemeka1: 1:50am On Nov 30, 2011
Who we are:

We are ex-Muslims. Some of us were born and raised in Islam and some of us had converted to Islam at some moment in our lives. We were taught never to question the truth of Islam and to believe in Allah and his messenger with blind faith. We were told that Allah would forgive all sins but the sin of disbelief (Quran 4:48 and 4:116). But we committed the ultimate sin of thinking and questioned the belief that was imposed on us and we came to realize that far from being a religion of truth, Islam is a hoax, it is hallucination of a sick mind and nothing but lies and deceits.

What we believe:

Some of us have embraced other religions but most of us have simply left Islam without believing in any other religion. We believe in humanity. We believe that humans do not need to follow a religion to be good. All we need to follow is the Golden Rule. All we have to do is to treat others the way we expect to be treated. This is the essence of all the goodness. All good religious teachings stem from this eternal principle. This is the ultimate guidance humanity need. This is the Golden Rule.

Why Mohammed was not a prophet:

One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified.

Why Quran is not from God:

Muhammad produced no miracles and when pressed he claimed that his miracle is the Quran. Yet a cursory look at the Quran reveals that this book is full of errors. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical errors and ethical fallacies. It is badly compiled and it contradicts itself. There is nothing intelligent in this book let alone miraculous. Muhammad challenged people to produce a “Surah like it” or find an error therein, yet Muslims would kill anyone who dares to criticize it. In such a climate of hypocrisy and violence truth is the first casualty.

What is our goal?

We are apostates of Islam. We denounce Islam as a false doctrine of hate and terror. However we are not against Muslims who are our own kin and relatives. We do not advocate hate and violence. Muslims are the main victims of Islam. Our goal is to educate them and let them see the truth. We are against Islam and not the Muslims. We strive to bring the Muslims into the fold of humanity. Eradicate Islam so our people can be liberated, so they can prosper and break away from the pillory of Islam. We would like to see Islamic countries dedicate more time to science and less time to Quran and Sharia. We would like to see them prosper and contribute to human civilization. We would like to see the draconian laws of Islam eliminated and people are treated humanely. We strive for freedom of beliefs, for equality of gender and for oneness of humankind.

humankind’s biggest challenge:

Today the humanity is facing a great danger. Islamic fundamentalism is on the rise and the hatred is brewing in the minds of millions of Muslims. This hatred must be contained or there would be disastrous consequences. We believe that the education is the only answer. Muslim intellectuals must realize that Islam is a false doctrine and they must let the rest of Islamic world know the truth. Islam is a religion that thrives on the arrogant assumption that it is the most logical, the most scientific and the most perfect religion. While the fact is that it is the stupidest doctrine — the most backward and absurd belief. Once the truth about Islam becomes common knowledge, it will be weakened and the Islamic fanaticism will lose its fangs. Hundreds of billions of dollars are being expended to combat Islamic terrorism, yet no effort is made to contain the ideology behind this terrorism. It is our belief that Islamic terrorism will not be eliminated unless and until the ideology behind it is exposed and eradicated. This is what we intend to do.

Obasanjo foisted unhealthy Yar’Adua on Nigerians as punishment – Atiku
on NOVEMBER 29, 2011 · in NEWS

By Emmanuel Aziken & Henry Umoru
ABUJA — Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched a blistering attack on former President Olusegun Obasanjo, accusing him of deliberately foisting an unhealthy Umaru Yar‘Adua on the country as a punishment for the rejection of the third term constitution amendment in 2006.

Atiku who also accused Obasanjo of seeking to be Nigeria’s version of Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe cited the memoirs of erstwhile United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, as evidence that Obasanjo lobbied for the third term constitution amendment among world leaders.

The attack from Atiku followed a newspaper interview where Obasanjo was alleged to have described Atiku as incompetent, unworthy of the presidency and untruthful.

My problems with OBJ

Rebuffing the allegations by former President Obasanjo, Atiku in a statement from his media office in Abuja, yesterday, said his major problems with the former President arose from his opposition to his third term plan.

Atiku in the statement narrated how Obasanjo allegedly sent two cabinet members of the regime to him to deliberate on a draft constitution.

Anybody in Ojukwu's shoes in 1966 would've acted the same way -Shagaya

Written by Jude Owuamanam

Brig.-Gen. John Shagaya, who commanded the ECOWAS Monitoring Group in Liberia as well as served as the Minister of Internal Affairs during the Gen. Sani Abacha regime, in this interview with JUDE OWUAMANAM, bares his mind on the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu

[img]http://odili.net/news/source/2011/nov/29/punch/images/6dd00e13b3a89ec53141b1898d97d892_M[1].jpg[/img]
Brig.-Gen. John Shagaya

What type of soldier did you see in Ojukwu?

Ojukwu was a rebel with a cause who very much believed in a cause he was fighting. I will miss him. I have visited him on a number of occasions in Enugu and I saw in him a man of courage and perseverance. I can only describe him as a soldiers’ soldier. Ojukwu demonstrated sterling qualities, especially to the cause of Igbo emancipation. Ojukwu was a soldiers’ soldier and just like Gen. Yakubu Gowon, he took a tremendous risk. I respect him for his cause and his magnanimity in accepting the end of the war. I also admire him for his belief in one Nigeria

How would you describe his action during those troubled days, especially his decision to pull the South-East out of Nigeria?

Given Ojukwu’s position and disposition during the troubled days of the First Republic, anyone would have done what he did. Any soldier worth his salt would have acted the same way as the Ikemba did in 1966 when he ceded Biafra from Nigeria. Nobody in that position would stand aside and watch his people being killed because the situation in 1966 would have pushed anybody to do what he did, especially after the retaliatory coup of July 1966. Not many people would have had the courage to do the things that he did. He was a source of inspiration to many of us during those turbulent years.

What leadership qualities did you find in him?

Ojukwu demonstrated sterling leadership qualities so much so that he was admired by many. I very much value his Queens English and the way he comported himself. He was also quick to accept to surrender and since then his belief in one Nigeria remained unshaken till his death. I will miss him a lot because as a young officer just passing out of military school, I saw in him a model in the military. I admired his courage, tenacity of purpose and unalloyed commitment to the cause of his people.

You can see many sides of him depending on where you stand, but I can tell you that the circumstances he found himself in 1966 dictated that he could not have done otherwise. It could have been me. Like a doctor, the first thing was to give people comfort. Most of the young officers who fought the war did not actually understood why they were fighting, especially on the federal side. They were made to believe that they were quashing a rebellion. And they fought with that impression.

How close were you to him?

We worked closely, especially in setting up the war museum in Umuahia and I have collaborated with him on many projects as regards the war. As I told you, I have visited him on many occasions in Enugu and I found him an amiable person. I respect him for his cause.

No great quality of leadership could be more than that. His quality of leadership would amount to people following you and dying with you. Only a few demonstrated it like Adolf Hitler did. I enjoyed his cooperation when we were collecting artefacts for the war museum during the Buhari/Idiagbon regime. I was the chairman of that project and he cooperated. Without his cooperation, we would not have recovered such artefacts like Ogbunigwe, the Biafran Baby and the war ship that was captured by Biafran troops during the war. He was even present at the Concorde Hotel in Owerri when the inauguration and that showed his belief in one Nigeria.

What lesson can we learn from the civil war?

The civil war should teach us that there is dignity in dialogue, but unfortunately we have not learnt from that. What is happening in Nigeria today is far greater than what happened before the civil war. I think we should try to avoid a repeat of that unfortunate incident because what is happening in Nigeria today could be worse than what Ojukwu saw in Nigeria of 1966

Al-Qaeda wants to kidnap Westerners in Nigeria – Report Featured
Written by Mike Odiegwu

The global terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, is planning a “wave of abductions” of Westerners in the Sahel, the Algerian secret service agency has said.

According to a report in Algeria’s most widely read newspaper, el-Khabar, the country’s secret service, the Department of Investigation and Security, has informed Algeria’s neighbours of the terrorist plans.

Arrested members of the Boko Haram sect

The Sahel region comprises Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The secret agency, the newspaper reports, says the abductions are slated to be carried out by Mauritanian terrorists.

Algeria is home to the Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, a group that has been identified by security agencies as providing both logistics and training to the violent Islamic sect in the North-East, Boko Haram.

In a recent interview, a Boko Haram leader had admitted the link between the sect and Mauritania, saying that several of its bomb experts and foot soldiers received training in the country. The leader had also said that some members of the group had just returned from Mauritania to launch new terrorist attacks.

Recently, the Algerian Deputy Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, had told journalists that his country had established a link between Boko Haram and the AIQM.

Presiding pastor of one of the fastest growing pentecostal churches in Nigeria, pastor Femi Emmanuel of Livingspring Chapel International Church, is bereaved. He lost his first daughter, Esther Emmanuel on November 20th 2011.

Until her death, she worked at the Murtala Mohammed Airport as a staff of Air Nigeria. The cause of her death is not very clear, but according to the story being passed around by her colleagues, Esther was on night duty on the day she died, she tripped and fell in the office during the night and when help couldn't get to her on time, she died! Esther was just 27.

The young, vibrant and kindhearted Esther, has since been buried. May her soul rest in peace, amen

So Christian missionaries introduced these vices in our society?. So all the Hausa or Yoruba muslim ritual killers learned it from their association with Christians?. Abacha, IBB, Adedibu and Arisekola Alao who are/were staunch muslims all learned how to murder and loot from Christian missionaries abi?. You see the city of new york have guns , even the city of toronto own guns.   lagos state can have weapon and . fashola and other governor have been wrong for buying vehicle and other things for the nigeria police.  that is wrong. they cant not donate to the nigeria police.  what they are suppose to do is buy it and rent it out to them. That way , it remain the properties of lagos state. You can not give out lagos properties to the nigeria police. You can rent it to them.  But not give it. The reason is that, you dont not want your vehicle or guns which the lagos state government buys to be transfered to another state .

and you see the need for state police. is because of police officers. When nuhu ribadu got sack from the nigeria police. Nuhu ribadu would have got employment with another police service if we had state police in Nigeria.  When you introduce state police. What it means is that police can have more employer. In nigeria there is only one 1 employer for the police. which is the federal govt. When you introduce state police. there will be 37 employers of the police.

So if Nuhu ribadu or any police man get sack , he can still work in another police force in Nigeria. You can resign in kano state police and go and pick up a new job as the river state police force. If River state police force pays more than the kano state police force.

You want state police?. You want OPC to turn to police?

Here they are again discussing issues that happened 4 decades ago. Adekunle probably copied that statement from Adolf Hitler when he[Hitler] ordered the invasion of Poland and massacred millions in 18days from Warsaw to Prague. What he failed to copy was how Hitler ended. I repeat, ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS EVIL WHETHER IT IS IN WAR OR SELF DEFENSE WILL REAP EVIL. CHILDREN AND WOMEN WERE MASSACRED BY OBAHITLER AWOLOWO and to think that there are modern day women who support that heinous act due to tribalism gives me butterflies in my stomach. I do not hero-worship people not only because my religious faith is against it but because I know the difference between right and wrong. If ObaHitler had been my dad, I would have been a disowned by that family by now the way Stalin's daughter disowned her dad.
If Adekunle's utterances are right because they were in a war, what of Obasanjo's massacring of women and children in Odi?. Was that because of a war too?. If those are war rules, why is the United States wasting billions fighting against the Talibans when they can easily nuke the whole of Afghanistan in one day?

Tabari IX:137 - "Allah granted Rayhana of the Qurayza to Muhammad as booty."

Ishaq 969 - "Men were to lay injunctions on women lightly, for they were prisoners of men and had no control over their persons." - This same text also justifies beating women for flirting.

Tabari Vol 9, Number 1754 - "Treat women well, for they are [like] domestic animals with you and do not possess anything for themselves." From Muhammad's 'Farewell Sermon'.
