lawland: Hi all, Just a quick question, Has anyone from Nigeria been asked to provide evidence of functional English for their migrating partner? If yes, was his or academic certificate and transcript enough or did immigration request for letter from the school?
cc Bellong Partner should take PTE (50 band) or IELTS 6 (band). competent english is what is required. Academic transcipt or certificate is not applicable |

akereconfi: Just a quick question. If i have 60 points without work experience. Can i proceed to apply and ignore attaching relevant reference from work experience.
PS: when i did my assessment with ACS i attached worked experience and was given positive response with 5 years work experience.
Now I'm aiming to score 8.0 in ielts which will total my point to 70. Can i drop work experience if i have 60 without it.
Thanks ... You can proceed but i doubt if 60 will be enough for any ICT occupant on 189 as most are on the prorata list and require like 65. why dont you want to claim exp if ACS already gave u 5yrs which equals 5 pts |

akereconfi: I created an IMMI account to see how the application looks like.......
You can try it yourself by creating a dummy account.
Reason: Wanted to find out required documents so I start gathering them now as I'm at the stage of writing English exam oh. Little wonder. As bnimz stated earlier, u have to be invited after you have submitted a SkillSelect EOI with the required points and chosen 189, before it will reflect in your immi account This is what is called ITA ( Invitation To Apply) |

akereconfi: Can someone explain this to me Please. Does it mean they've stopped accepting applications for 189 As the header of picture clearly state, Application for the visa listed are no longer acceptable by DIBP. it says nothing about 189. And this interface does not resemble Skill-select EOI pages where u get to select visa type for GSM. ?? how did u arrive at this message |

Omooloriredade: Like I posted, it's a long story. Didn't realise I had made some attempt before leaving to attend to some other issue. I crossed the attempt threshold (5) leading to the locked EOI. I did some digging. I read the FAQ. I have to create another EOI if password reset and browser switch is not successful. I have mailed the tech team to remove the previous EOI from skillselect. They don't unlock, reset or provide answers to security questions (from FAQ)
Thanks anyway.......well appreciated Ok then. Uwc |

Omooloriredade: Got my positive assessment a few days ago. Submitted my EOI immediately but I was forced to ditch it for a new EOI......long story New EOI submitted with DOE 2/5/2017. Do I contact DIBP to remove previous EOI (locked already)? Same info both EOI but lost access to first one ( I know.......I goofed) Smh for myself. There is option to reset password? If u can't remember your EOI ID, it can be found in your inbox. Just search for skill select? Am not sure DIBP can delete your account. If the first EOI gets ITA, am not sure the second one will get for same visa type. I think you should work harder on retrieving the first EOI. You can DM me for further perusal. ...... chookudi: Granted that there will be a reset of all occupations eligible for the 189 visa from July 1, is there any need to leave EOIs already submitted before the ceilings were reached or will they have to be resubmitted on/after July 1? Leave EOI... It's a queue system based on points claimed and date claimed (Date of Effect). |

mctowel01: The initial nomination mail wont reflect as an ITA on skill select. The ITA shows only after submitting the necessary documents, paying an amount as the case may be and eventual approval by NSW Furthermore This is true. ITA shows after State nomination Approval. The initial email is an invite to apply to state ... Only ITA to DIBP shows up on skill select. |
