Winter is coming Many states have either closed their state nomination programs or restricted them significantly - examples include Queensland, Western Australia and ACT. Others have reached quotas for popular occupations. Most states will restart their state migration plans from July. For some states, ACT and South Australia in particular, many occupations fill very quickly after the program reopens. Applicants should make sure that they are ready to lodge for state nomination as soon as possible after they reopen to avoid disappointment.

happy4lucy: surprised!
yeah we have gotten a positive assessment from AACA body in march. as for the 60point below I our calculation, maybe I might be wrong
Age= 30points English= ??points Skilled assessment (more than 8yrs)= 15points Qualification= 15points
total is 60points for now we are still waiting for English result.
Educational qualification goes hand in hand with skill assessment.======if this is true, then we have done both.
Is the English exam PTE-A?, =======NO, it is IELTS
thanks for your response.bellong post=56795445: @happy4lucy,
If he has done assessment with AACA and it is positive, nothing else to add.
He doesn't really need any additional points from English as the 60 points is enough to get invitation as an architect. However, he needs minimum of 6 in each band for English competence.
In other news, architecture in this country is just there. Hopefully your husband can bring a touch of class to the profession. As the Boss already mentioned. Case Closed. Lobatan Competent English is all u need from IELTS then Proceed to EOI submission and Play the waiting game.. Your grant is around the Corner |

happy4lucy: I love reading stories like this because it gives me hope.
I and my hubby are planning to migrate too, we have done the educational assessment he is an architect but we are waiting for his English exam result he took on may 13th, I pray he gets 10points so we can bag 70points. currently we already have 60points.
now my question is must he do skill assessment, he has 10yrs working experience in Architectural field, but his friend that went through that field told him no need for that. How did u arrive at 60 points Educational qualification goes hand in hand with skill assessment. There is no separate body assessing both. Primary applicants are required to have their skills assessed with the appropriate body. a +ve Assessment is also required for submission of EOI. Moreover, since its a GSM (General Skilled Migration) visa, There is no skipping assessment with AACA for an architect. Is the English exam PTE-A?, i took mine on the 10th of may, and still no result. I hope i made sense The gurus should please pitch in? More details available at link below https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189-https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/190-https://www.acacia-au.com/skilled-migration-requirements.php

JERRYMAG4: Guru in the house, please I need ur help especially from people who have scaled thru the huddles of ACS assessment. I need to arm myself to the teeth with adequate info before I apply for the assessment. I don't want any story with this fx. I just want to ask if I can copy directly from the ACS website the job descriptions I saw there for different fields. I am applying for ICT business analyst. My employer has given me that opportunity to add or substract from my job descriptions that will suite my purpose. Please help if you have this info.
Cc Bellong. Pls don't try to copy it ... it's called Plagiarism and that's an offense that can lead to ban from ACS or DIBP. That's said... For ICT business analyst. Comb this thread Wella, I think bolaobby assessed same, |

duuduu: @bellong @doyen06 @all I need your candid advice about situation I have done my ACS assessment for COMPUTER NETWORK AND SYSTEMS ENGINEER it is as follows: In all I have 60 points , should I go for NSW nomination? what do u advice... i heard the occupation has reached the ceiling , should i wait till july when there will be a reset? I need your candid advice here , thank you. IMO, you should go with NSW for now because, as u mentioned 189 is filled for now, and when it opens by July, you will need 65pts for 263111 (pro-rata bla bla). Meanwhile give English another attempt (20pts) to boost your current point. I know this because am also on the same boat, so welcome aboard the Hopeful cruise |

Cecegal: Good Day people,
Quick question for those who had to go the 190 route looking at NSW and Victoria but on the EOI You can only select one State or any[This isnt a problem for Victoria as you still have to send them a separate application].The challenge is for NSW if i select NSW will they still be able to see my EOI for 190 hence nominate us since they do not have any other means of application for 190 except through EOI with Skill Select.
Anyone to the rescue please,Where is that Brother who got Victoria nomination biko your attention is needed i need mentorship.
TIA Just select anywhere, so both can see your EOI. Another option is to create another EOI for another state (not sure about this) |
