This applies to those who do not have a degree with adequate computing - without a computer major, right?

@Alphadoor
What do you think are my chances with the following details:
Degree with non computing components - 2006.

Work as a Systems/Network Administrator, Helpdesk personnel - 2008 to date.

Certifications: Comptia A+ & CCNA (both are not on ACS list) - 2016
CCNP R&S - 2017

What do you think will be the result as regards years of experience from ACS?

Thanks for looking through.
2008 till date is about 9yrs....
Your BSC will be assessed as AQF diploma non ICT,

6 yrs Will be deducted as the skilled met date,...

If what's left is more than 3yrs....

U can claim 5pts for experience..

You will probably get +ve outcome , just package your JD inline with the anzsco

Hello everyone,
Please I requested for my transcripts from my school in October, 2016. But I didn't pay for posting then.
Now I need to send my transcripts to VETASSESS but the date of issue on the transcripts is October 2016. Should I request that the school provides a new transcripts or just go ahead with this one? Bearing in mind that preparation for a new transcripts takes up to a month and sending altogether might span almost two months that's a lot of time. Will the date become a problem? I don't want issues.
Thanks in advance.
The date won't be an issue.

There is option of TAFE or private RTOs for diploma and advanced diploma courses. They are not as expensive as undergraduate courses.

Life is all about risk but the risk must be legally and morally justifiable. This is not what I can call help but trying to undermine a system which is moral irresponsibility. Marriage should not be denigrated to the level people can get on and get off at will. I do not belong to the school of thought of "the end justifies the means". I am particular about the means to which you arrive at your end. My sister, this desperation may land you in trouble. What you need is to put yourself together, find alternative legal means of achieving your aim. I will not be a party to this type of plan.

The country may be bad but it doesn't mean that the country is hopeless and you wouldn't make a breakthrough. What I believe you need at this stage is hope and believe in yourself while trusting God, who can do all things to help you out. No man holds the key to anybody's destiny and there can be an oasis in the desert. Your present situation may be frustrating but it is not permanent, it will soon pass.

The fact that he did it years ago and was "temporarily" successful with it doesn't make it right. Determine to get to your destination using the right channel and you will surely get there. Whatever we sow in life, we will surely reap. You will not be there when your cousin and his sister get to reap the fruits of their seed.

Yes, you can't just sit at home, that's why you need to go out of your house, hit the street and do anything legal to make an income. My philosophy is "there is dignity in labour". No matter what you do as long as you don't steal or defraud people, it is a worthwhile venture to put food on the table. A lot of people refused to get dirty because of the opinions of myopic few. If you care not to mind what people say, you will be able to get your hands dirty to make ends meet. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean. A giant step begins with a leap. Start something, no matter how little, the Lord will make it great for you. Keep pushing on and you will sure get there.

My encouragement is that you do it right. Follow due process to achieve your dream. Your situation may seem hopeless to you but be thankful for the gift of life. Some people are praying to have the challenges you have to escape theirs. Your situation is not and will not be permanent. Keep keeping on.

This is from someone who had in time past experienced plenty and drought. Do not block the good coming your way with this unwholesome plan.

It is well with you
Tuale Sir bellong.

You have said it well.

Don' t let your cousin scenario cloud your judgement in forging a way forward. what if your cousin was not successful? Will her failure deter you from wanting a better life for yourself

Don't put yourself in a "had i known scenario"....

@RealChinaza,

As much as everybody is willing to help you, there is little we all can do.

The suggestion you made is alright but I don't think it is something that can withstand the test of time. If a single guy consents to it, the law sees you as couple, he wouldn't be able to marry except you go through the process of divorce. That can only be done in the jurisdiction where the marriage was conducted.

Had it been chemical engineering has alternative for technician or draftsperson like other Engineering profession, you would have used it.

If you have the money, get on board under student visa and work your way to PR.

You are in a state of vulnerability, you need to exercise patience and take caution to prevent making a destiny wrecking decision.

Goodluck to you sis.
Seconded.

Hi Alphadoor, I think Catchdwimd4rmkd has said it all but I just want to share mine with you.

Occupation is Welfare centre Manager with 55 points and 2.8 relevant years of experience. I received invite in 5 working days, 7 days (Saturday and Sunday inclusive) however, it's 15 days already and I am still waiting for approval. So I guess different occupations have different timelines. I hope this helps.
Interesting ......

Mate, good thing is that you're motivated to improve your points via English.
With 55 independent points, your chances are slim for NSW.
This is because NSW happens to be one of the, if not the only, states that sponsor or nominate a large number of occupations.
Also, the state prides herself with having numerous job opportunities and high pay rate.
Consequently, 190 NSW is very competitive.
And as Mctowel always say, those Asians (Indians in particular) have got no chill.

Average waiting period?
No current trend for 55 pointers.
I submitted my EOI for 190 NSW last October and even forgot about it until the news of my occupation no longer eligible for state nomination. That's 6 months already I'd say.
Depending on your occupation, your chances become significant from 65 points up.
There are a lot of candidates (Indians) with 65 and 70 independent skilled points yet to receive NSW nomination.
I've concluded that even if you tell them to present 100 points, they would gather it somehow. Mind blowing!
You'd think they don't need state nomination with such high points, but they're forced to go through that pathway due to pro rata and exhausted ceilings. Immitracker can give you an insight. Accounting, IT and software professionals fall in this category.

Finally, it's a good move to submit the EOI and start the count. You may even be lucky come July when the system resets. But don't relent in your efforts to improve your score via English as that's by far the easiest, fastest and surest route.
Well Said.
Thanks for taking your precious time to elaborate. Gracias

@ dunsinogundele, bolaobby, OzyMigrant, catchdwind4rmkd, 40manlappy, oknee, tyosho, pingu2k5, bossladyMo, bellong ,vinsmuft

At one point or the other, you have all talked about/considered/opted for NSW 190.

I've just submitted my EOI for NSW 190 (19th April).. with 60pts calculated (55+5pts State Nomination).

whats the average waiting period before getting invited by NSW?
whats your personal experience "waiting period" before getting invited?

Am currently working on retaking PTE (20) to shoot the point to 70 (state point inclusive).

189 is currently off the table for now as NOC 263111 has reached its ceiling for 2016-2017.
with all these tsunami changes, waiting for July for it to re-open is not it for me, my ticket is already available (pun intended grin )

It keeps calculating 65pts instead of 60pts (state nomination inclusive).

I feel its the work experience (4 years 9 months), but ACS deducted 4 years as "skill met date". Hope this wont be seen as false info or will DIBP be regularizing when i get to that bridge
