What if my occupation is in high availability in a particular state but not in the new MLTSSL And STSSOL, can I still nominate such occupation?
This seems like an improbable scenario as the all NOC acceptable for PR purposes must be listed under the aforementioned list above

Wow. It is well o

Just to clarify; Does this mean, we cant apply for state nomination, visa 190 if the occupation is on the MLTSSL list?
You definitely can.

The new MLTSSL and STSOL shares the same relationship the SOL had with CSOL list.

STSOL contains all MLTSSL occupations, so if initially, you start out with a 189 visa and u need state nomination to boost your point, you can go ahead and apply for it, based on the relationship, meaning you are now making of choice of 190 visa.

mployers for a Canada application. Here's my dilemma: Given that the information required by the ACS is the same, can i submit the letters I got from my previous employers (addressed to the Canadian Immigration Authority) for the assessment by the Australia Computer Society?
The address doesn't matter as long as the content is in line with ACS reference letter requirement. You are good to go.

But If otherwise by as low as 5%, I strongly advise that you should get a new letter to fit ACS requirements by 100%.
Leave nothing to Chance.

Hello All,

My worry now is that the quota for accountants has been filled up for this year and it is one of the flagged occupations. Do you think it will still be on the CSOL/SOL when the system is refreshed in July?
You don't have to worry yourself, FLAGGED means it will be removed from SOL list (189) but remain on the CSOL list (190). And since you're already on track for 190, go for the English as you said, meet state requirement and you're on the home run.

Please Submit your EOI immediately, when u get the English to 20, update it, its better to be in the pool on time

I got my +ve assessment from ACS this morning. I used my Microsoft certification since my Bsc. is not related to computer in any way. I was considered RPL but since I have MS certification i decided to upgrade my old certification and then use it. They deducted 5 years of experience.

I got the result one week after submitting ( less a few hours)

Thanks bolaobby.

Next to English test (PTE)
Roger that.
Congratulations bro.

So sorry for the outcome.

From what you posted, you got the -ve assessment based on experience and this might be due to your JD.

There is someone on this thread who also got a -ve assessment for a 10yr experience as ICT Business Analyst.
We have repackaged the JD and re-appeal and i was eventually +ve.

Sorry about the outcome. What are their reasons for this? Can your wife be the principal applicant?
Either way, i/she still need to get +ve assessment in other to claim 5 points (partner).

Reason is definitely somewhere in between job roles/responsibilites/ ICT units
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Alphadoor: 6:58am On Apr 07, 2017
Thank You All ooo.

I just woke up to my ACS outcome this morning, as if they felt my cry last night.

Your ICT skills have been assessed as unsuitable for migration under 263111 (Computer Network and Systems

Engineer) of the ANZSCO Code.

You have been assessed as not meeting the requirements for professional information technology experience of

four (4) years in a field closely related to your nominated skilled occupation.

Your qualification has been assessed as not closely related to your nominated occupation:

Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University

been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing.
Although, I have been very skeptical about being nominated as AQF bachelor based on someone posting something schools being categorized into sections 1 , or 2 by acrios or whatever.

Its a mixed feeling here as am Glad for the AQF bachelor and sad about the -Ve outcome(263111)

Moving forward I will be nominating another occupation before the end of the day ($395).....after i request for a recommendation ($200) from ACS.

My wife's assessment is still in stage 4a.

@dewys1 cc@mamajaz
while am awaiting my ACS assessment outcome (stage 4b "in progress" cry, i can freely tell you that ACS guide is very clear and for you to ensure your application is "decision ready",... download their ANZSCO CODE GUIDE as it contains subjects and job descriptions for each ACS assessed occupation.

see my analysis below

SYSTEM ANALYST 261112: 189: is on the pro-rata list, meaning high points (65+) required and waiting time for ITA is currently High. see table below

ICT security specialist 262112: 190: requires State Nomination and its currently nominated by only Southern Australia with 70+ points

like someone once told me in this thread, ICT occupations are a bit fluid and are closely related. Choose anyone you can easily defend with your documents.......AUD500 no be beans ooo grin grin

Human Resources Adviser falls under skill level 1. And to get a positive assesment he needs bsc (4 years) from a federal uni. 5 years bsc from a state uni. Or private Uni.

He can give it a shot..Who knows he might be a special breed with special anointing........ The almighty Vetassess can be outsmarted with all the special specials I mentioned ooh

The information above could be 100% wrong. It actually came from my small church mind.

Gurus in the house, people that attended a state uni with a positive assessment from Vetassess should come to our aid oooh.

We need more contributions
That's all you need to do. You can't just conclude that you won't be assessing your education as its not possible to skip this stage 1. .... 4 years degree should do. Go and download the vetasses guide from their website and digest it. You will be able to decide better .

Fact: 189/190 visa from DIBP requires positive assessment from VETASSES.......VETASSES requires ur Education for assessments
