maxipharo:
Nigeria is quite blessed with a lot of cash crops that are either used as a means of foreign exchange (exported) or consumed locally.
It is no dough that Nigerian is a blessed country, having up to hundreds of cash crops that can be used to develop the country if well managed.
Nigeria is always ranking at the 1th to 10th position in cash crops production in the whole word.
Despite our lost of focus in Agriculture, Nigeria is still seen among the first 10 in the list, this means it will be very easy to pick up and rank number one in all aspect of agriculture.
To start any Cash Crop farming in Nigeria, It is required that you consider some factors that will determine the success of the farming.
Factors To Consider Before Farming Any Cash Crop.

Variety:
Most crops have a lot of varieties that has different maturity periods, climate acceptability and so many other factors that will either affect the yield of the crop or its market potentials.

Climate:
Not all farm product grow well in every location, this is because the climate requirement of every crop differs. Some crops like groundnuts, tobacco can withstand high temperature but not ever crop can.

Profit potentials:
If you are picking a cash crop you should run a background check on the profit potentials of that crop. Not all crops are profitable in all location.
Below Are The 10 Most Profitable Cash Crops In Nigeria.

FoodRe: Ekuru (white Moi Moi) Recipe by AlphaSoul: 4:11am On Jul 01, 2021
Probz:
Ndi Igbo call it elele/mai-mai. Big deal. It’s not only Yorubas who have it as a near-indigenous food.
The initial convo was on the
etymology of the food that is
made from blended beans.

Nobody said it's only Yorubas
that eat the delicacy.
Indeed foods such as Akara
and Moin-Moin/Olele are
international delicacies in Bahia
in Brazil, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, etc, due to the deportation
of thousands of Yorubas during the Trans-Atlantic slave trade especially in the 1700s to 1800s.

Akara is still called Akara Iyesha
(Akara je) in Brazil by the
Yoruba descendants and others.

It's obvious that Ibos have
adopted those words you wrote from the original Yoruba words
Olele/Moin-Moin (Both words
are used interchangeably in
Yoruba language and both have
to do with the "sticky" nature of the beans delicacy).

The only language that I know that has strong similarity with Yoruba is Igala language which has about 55 percent uncanny similarity with
Yoruba language in terms of
food names, and more. The
immediate Attah of Igala also
said in a newspaper that Ifa
priests (Babalawos) consult Ifa before a new Attah is enthroned
in Igalaland.

The Attah of Igala even said
significant Jukun, Yoruba, Edo,
and some Ibo bloodlines exist amongin the Igalas.

Interestingly I read a book in
the early 1980s on the origin or etymology of some Nigerian words in Hausa, Yoruba, Edo, Ibo, etc.

An example I can remember
off hand from that book is the
adoption of the "botanical name"
for tobacco (Tabac...) into
Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo.

"TOBACCO"
1. Taba (Tobacco in Hausa).

2. Ewe taba ("Tobacco leaves"
in Yoruba).

3. Otaba (Tobacco in Ibo).

Aha! You wrote "Iparapa" in your post instead of Ibarapa. Are you from Ibarapa? You were obviously distressed by the murders. Pele.

My sympathies go out to all the family members of those that got killed.

I'm just getting more facts about the killings this morning. Fulanis always embark on revenge killings so I knew it would happen months back.

Yeah! It's better to have limited
access to extremely negative local and global news. As a CEO and player in the global business

can affect business decisions.

You may have viewed graphic

the killings on social media. But

Let's verify that they are pics from
Ibarapa.

seen what I promised you on the other thread in your mail? Check
the inbox or spam folder in case
you haven't.

I empathise again with you
over the phone loss. I know that
feeling too as I stated in the
email.

NOTE:
As the situation stands, the
Nigerian Police are the only
body that have the authority
to track lost and/or stolen
phones using the IMEI number
or numbers (if you use a dual
SIM phone). The elite Nigerian
Police 'IRT Unit' does the tracking
and a lot of kidnappers who
used stolen phones to make
calls have been arrested by the
'IRT Unit' for over 10 years now!

As I said, private individuals are
NOT allowed to track their lost
mobile phones using the IMEI number in Nigeria except security
operatives provided you have
the following info:

1. Get a 'Police Report' to help in
establishing the solid fact that the
phone belongs to you. It will cost
you money.

2. Get the IMEI number(s) of the
phone (if it is a dual SIM phone, since it's actually 2 phones in 1).

3. Provide an alternate phone number the police (IRT Unit) can
reach you for follow ups.

4. Provide the police with your active email.

What else?

Aha! Yes...

You may end up getting to
spend more than the total
cost of your phone while trying
to use the police to track it, but
if the contents or documents in
your phone are very private
and important then you can
proceed by making firm enquiries about the police phone tracking
using the IMEI number by getting to a major police HQ in Lagos or a major police station.

Also find out about the cost of getting a a formal police report.

Hope this helps.
Talk to you later.

Take care. wink

WebmastersRe: SEO Basics: 6 Essentials When Optimizing Your Site by AlphaSoul: 10:25pm On Jun 06, 2021
blackfridays:
What is SEO, Exactly?

The goal of foundational SEO isn’t to cheat or “game” the search engines. The purpose of SEO is to:

Create a great, seamless user experience.
Communicate to the search engines your intentions so they can recommend your website for relevant searches.
1. Your Website is Like a Cake

think-of-your-site-like-a-cake

Your links, paid search, and social media acts as the icing, but your content, information architecture, content management system, and infrastructure act as the sugar and makes the cake. Without it, your cake is tasteless, boring, and gets thrown in the trash.

theyre-both-cakes-right

2. What Search Engines Are Looking For

Search engines want to do their jobs as best as possible by referring users to websites and content that is the most relevant to what the user is looking for. So how is relevancy determined?

Content: Is determined by the theme that is being given, the text on the page, and the titles and descriptions that are given.
Performance: How fast is your site and does it work properly?
Authority: Does your site have good enough content to link to or do other authoritative sites use your website as a reference or cite the information that’s available?
User Experience: How does the site look? Is it easy to navigate around? Does it look safe? Does it have a high bounce rate?
3. What Search Engines Are NOT Looking For

Search engine spiders only have a certain amount of data storage, so if you’re performing shady tactics or trying to trick them, chances are you’re going to hurt yourself in the long run. Items the search engines don’t want are:

Keyword Stuffing: Overuse of keywords on your pages.
Purchased Links: Buying links will get you nowhere when it comes to SEO, so be warned.
Poor User Experience: Make it easy for the user to get around. Too many ads and making it too difficult for people to find content they’re looking for will only increase your bounce rate. If you know your bounce rate it will help determine other information about your site. For example, if it’s 80 percent or higher and you have content on your website, chances are something is wrong.
4. Know Your Business Model

While this is pretty obvious, so many people tend to not sit down and just focus on what their main goals are. Some questions you need to ask yourself are:

What defines a conversion for you?
Are you selling eyeballs (impressions) or what people click on?
What are your goals?
Do you know your assets and liabilities?

5. Don’t Forget to Optimize for Multi-Channels

multichannel-optimization

Keyword strategy is not only important to implement on-site, but should extend to other off-site platforms, which is why you should also be thinking about multi-channel optimization. These multi-channel platforms include:

Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIn
Email
Offline, such as radio and TV ads
Being consistent with keyword phrases within these platforms will not only help your branding efforts, but also train users to use specific phrases you’re optimizing for.

6. Be Consistent With Domain Names

Domain naming is so important to your overall foundation, so as a best practice you’re better off using sub-directory root domains (example.com/awesome) versus sub-domains (awesome.example.com). Some other best practices with domain names are:

Consistent Domains: If you type in www.example.com, but then your type in just example.com and the “www” does not redirect to www.example.com, that means the search engines are seeing two different sites. This isn’t effective for your overall SEO efforts as it will dilute your inbound links, as external sites will be linking to www.example.com and example.com.
Keep it Old School: Old domains are better than new ones, but if you’re buying an old domain, make sure that the previous owner didn’t do anything shady to cause the domain to get penalized.
Keywords in URL: Having keywords you’re trying to rank for in your domain will only help your overall efforts.

I think this is great information, thank you for sharing. If you have a website and want to get a lot of clients, then SEO is a great way to do it. If you've read the post and these comments, then you've already understood that SEO is the process of optimizing your online content so that a search engine shows it as a top result for searches of a certain keyword. And if you want to learn more about it, I recommend that you watch Neil Patel's videos, he is an expert in this field. As for me, I realized that the main thing is to find a reliable company that you can trust with your website. For example, I work with these guys https://buyfiverrseo.com/ and I think they know their job very well.

Sagamite:
I will have to disagree on that.

Based on my experience with women (and admittedly, this is vast grin), you tend to see that women tend to always want things their way and will use emotional blackmail to get it if they have to. They are more subjective than men and tend to give priority to their own (e.g. kids), that is why it is hard for a woman to agree for the same punishment she wishes on others for their own kid.

Furthermore, women know that women are more selfish. I think this is a major contributor to woman always having beef with each other and bitching on each other even without knowing each other. And as a guy, you are wondering "why". Men just get along with each other.

The amount of times I am in amazement how my female friends are beefing the person they are smiling with is shocking.

Women are not selfish in situations they know they risk public condemnation. Once you remove the threat of that, they are more likely to act selfishly without a shred of contrition. Absolutely zero contrition because . . . . ."they are the weaker sex" hence they are entitled to misbehave without consequence or responsibility.

That is not to say there are no selfish men.

Thanks. I just love the vanity of it. grin
FamilyRe: Why Do Men Cheat ( Strictry For Females) by AlphaSoul: 4:42pm On Jun 05, 2021
Sagamite:
What I know is that, women cheat a lot as well. Only amateur and gullible guys don't know that.

It is not about so-called women's "discipline" or "selflessness" or "morals" that prevents their all-out cheating. Women will cheat more if they had as little to lose as men do.

Even I am 100% sure women are more selfish than men, whilst men are more greedy than women.

Both sexes have their good and bad individuals. The bad are way more than the good people. You have to be careful who you choose.

When a woman falls in love, she will worry about you and won’t be able to stay away if she notices you’re having troubles. She will let you know that she's there for you in case you need her, and she will be deeply concerned and interested in any problems you’re having.

3. She shows you off to family and friends
A woman who really loves a man is proud to be with him and can’t wait to show him off to her friends and family. She will constantly talk about you with others and will be deeply interested in wanting to know your parents and your friends.

4. She makes sacrifices for you
Another sign that she really loves you is when she takes the time to be with you and to do the things you love to do. It is easy for her when you do the things she likes to do, but if you’ve noticed that she’s given up these normal activities to be with you, it’s an indication that she cares about
you a great deal.

5. She talks about the future with you
A woman in love will talk very excitedly about the future, making plans regarding it and telling you about the things she wants the two of you to do together. She will make subtle hints while imagining building a future with you in it.

6. She does unexpected, yet pleasant things
to surprise you

It’s in a woman’s nature to want to give to the people she cares about. If she begins doing things like showing up at your workplace with
lunch, buying you meaningful gifts, straightening up around your apartment, cooking you dinner, or helping with your laundry, she is very likely in love with you.

7. She touches you frequently
A woman in love enjoys being physically close to the person she appreciates so much, so you should guess her feelings from reading her body language. She will touch you often, rest her hand on your arm, massage your back when you’re together and she might even have goose bumps
when she’s near you.

8. You are the only guy she’s focused on
If she’s in love with you, she won’t be bothered with dealing with other guys, as you’re now the only one she focuses her attention on.

9. She wants to be around you as much as
possible

A woman in love won’t think twice about clearing up her busy schedule for you. She will postpone her appointments, be late for meetings, and skip classes at a moments notice to spend
as much time with you as possible.

10. She wants to know intimate details about
you

A woman in love will show a lot of interest in the life of a particular guy, so if she starts being extremely curious, sincerely and profoundly interested in every aspect of your life, asking about your day, wanting to know everything about your childhood, your family, and things that happened in your life that made you the man you are today, it’s a very good indication that she loves you.

kandiikane:
Hi guys, I am looking to travel to Nigeria for the Easter but looked into the visa process and it seems quite daunting and long with everything they are asking for.

Ok, here is the thing, I had a Gambian passport for the Uk with the necessary stamps to live there. Acquired my british passport last year but My Gambian passport with all the stamps was lost. I do have a renewed Gambian passport with no stamps to say I have indefinite leave in the uk.

I want to find out whether I can use that renewed Gambian passport to travel from the uk to Nigeria since it's visa free if you hold a Gambian passport or do I have to travel on the UK passport, get a visa and such?

Will the immigration in the UK stop me from travelling on the Gambian passport even if I show them my british passport?
No... (@ lastparagraph).

The thing is, even if you tell majority of men you're not interested and want to be friends or nyashing buddy before a date or something, they will still be behind you. In fact, this makes it worst because they'll take it as a challenge and what man doesn't like a challenge.
Lol... wink

Now lets look at women and their rules (which they want only guys to adhere to). Their preaching of decency, pricinples and consideration for feelings which they whine about when men do things to their own desire.

Why not just do the principled thing by saying you are sorry but you are not interested and you do not wish to give your number out and you respect them that is why you are telling them and being open and upfront?

Because you are not a "real woman" to "woman up" and be blunt? grin But you want guys to be "honest" (as you guys love to say)?

Why can't you be a nice person that does not exploit others?

Because you are selfish and only think of yourself and what benefits you? But you demand guys to not think of themselves and their own interest? grin

Why can't you be "woman enough" to sit him down and say you are not interested anymore? grin Because you do not have the ballsbooobs to stand in front of someone you know you would upset and take the emotional blackmail?

But you want men to have the balls to tell you it is over so you can emotional blackmail them about all you have done for them and cry all day till they feel like the worst thing ever on Earth? grin

Thinking of only yourself again and what you will get out of it?

But men are not suppose to think of themselves, they should be real men that think of your interest? grin

One word: Rude!

But you think you deserve real men that are polite and chivalrous? grin

I thought women preach to gullible real men that you should end one relationship before starting another and you should commit completely to your partner when you are with them.

But men should not start lining up a new one because that is unfaithful? grin

Me, me, me!

One rule for him and another more favourable rule for you? What happened to that trust and honesty you whine about? grin

So why can't women do the right thing but they whine about guys doing the right thing? cheesy

1. Given your correct number/contact details out to a guy but refused to pick up the guy’s call or reply to messages.

2. Given a wrong number/contact details out to a guy.

3. Rude to a guy that approached you simply because you don’t fancy him, not because he did something wrong.

4. Rude to a guy that approached you simply because you wanted to use him to show off/shine in public, not because he did something wrong.

5. Ended a relationship with a guy by starting and/or consistently starting a fight to get him to break up with you or so you can break up with him by saying it is not working out.

6. Cheated on a guy.

7. Gone on a date with a guy (for which he is paying) despite the fact you know you are unlikely to date him, just to have a free day out and get out of the house to be pampered.

8. Lead a guy on despite not being interested just to boost your ego or test your worth in the market.

9. Cancelled a date on a guy at short notice without giving, or even having, a reasonable explanation to [give] him.

10. Already started taking applications (give your number out to guys you like) or lined up another suitor before breaking up with a guy.

11. Harass a guy that you want a type of relationship where you “tell each other everything and where there are no secrets” but yet you have secrets you refuse to share and hide from him after that agreement is made.

12. Break up with a guy (normally a long-term one), because you are not sure or you want the freedom to explore more, but you try and keep him as a friend just in case you need to go back to him.

Is there any woman that can claim she has never done any one of the above?

OF COURSE they don't have the guts to do the breaking up. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

But they would be the ones whinging and talking about "rules of engagement/decency" and making accusations that challenge your masculinity "you are not a real man; you don't have the balls to be straightforward". grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

So a real woman is suppose to be cunning, selfish and avoid all responsibilities (provision-wise and morally), while a real man has to be honest, altruistic and take on all responsibilities (provision-wise and moral).

I am sorry, let me correct myself, it is not only them that whinge. Also their mugu lap dogs, whom they part on the back as "real men", join them in whinging and challenging other men to be honest, altruistic and take on all responsibilities (provision-wise and morally).

When you say: "A lot of times(from my personal observation though), most girls will start acting funny; no calls, keeping distance, cancelling dates with unreasonable excuses, telling heavy lies, taking the guy for granted, etc. And these things hurt....they really do!!". Most women don't give a shyt! Guess what they would do if you ever said that in public as a complaint about them? They would challenge your masculinity. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

"Maybe you did not know how to keep her" - basically you don't have game.

"Hey-ya, she really dealt with you and you are so bitter" - basically abeg no spoil show for us, stop whining and accept it.

Understand their desire:

https://www.nairaland.com/820236/what-not-after-first-date#9723514

I have studied women to the hilt and I have learnt to do what the fck I want and I am not honest, altruistic nor take on all responsibilities except she can prove to me that she is one of the few that are altruistic, loves the shyt out of you and is an investor. The minute she shows signs that her interest is dropping, enter market and get a new product.

I have been married for a year now to a man that is very unattractive. I married him for two reasons

1. My younger ones and friends were all married and I was desperate at 32.
2. He treats me well

He's a good husby but I sometimes get ashamed walking with him because he's very ugly. I'm a pretty girl and when we are in public he's all over me wanting people to know we are together and I see the looks they give us.

I don't mind sleeping with this man and being his wife, I just want the feeling of shame to stop.I know some men don't treat their wife well and I feel lucky mine own does that.
Eeewww! Lol
FamilyRe: 5 Sure Ways To Stop Feeling Insecure In Your Relationships by AlphaSoul: 12:57am On May 19, 2021
eleojo23:
Do you often feel inadequate and “not good enough” to be friends, lovers, or business partners with certain people? You simply can't understand what others see in you. You are very insecure. You end many promising relationships because of insecurity. In your mind, it feels easier for you to end it before they did. Walking away rather than risking the heartbreak of rejection is how you justify this behavior to yourself. I have also been through this in the past. But after awhile, as I grew emotionally, I began to realize that I wanted and needed the comfort and support of long-term relationships (I am not referring to only romantic relationships)

So what did I do, and what can you do if insecurity is damaging your relationships? You need to understand that a good relationship is about sharing ideas and enjoyable moments with another, to help each other grow in healthy ways, both together socially and as individuals. If someone really does treat you poorly or lies and cheats you out of something, feeling insecure is a natural and reasonable response. However, if you’re actually in a generally good relationship with someone, then it’s time to…

1. Stop trying to read minds.
Most relationship problems and associated social anxieties start with bad communication, which in turn leads to attempted mind reading. Mind reading occurs when two people assume that they know what the other is thinking when they don’t. This process of wondering and trying to guess what someone is thinking is a rapid route to feelings of insecurity and stress.
If someone says one thing, don’t assume they mean something else. If they say nothing at all, don’t assume their silence has some hidden, negative connotation. Likewise, don’t make the people in your life try to read your mind.
Say what you mean and mean what you say. Give the people in your life the information they need, rather than expecting them to know the unknowable. It’s also important to remember that you aren’t suppose to know every little thing going on in the minds of others, even the people closest to you. When you stop trying to read their minds, you really begin to respect their right to privacy. Everyone deserves the right to think private thoughts. Constantly asking, “What are you thinking?” can provoke a person to withdraw from a relationship to find space.

2. Stop looking for perfect relationships.
You will end up spending your entire life hopelessly seeking the right lover and the right friends if you expect them to be perfect. Even worse, the process of doing so will drive you mad, as you feel more and more insecure with every failed relationship that doesn’t live up to your fantasy of perfection.
We’re all seeking those special relationships that feel perfect for us, but if you’ve been through enough relationships, you begin to realize that there are no “perfect people” for you, just different flavors of imperfect ones.
That’s because we are all imperfect in some way. You yourself are imperfect in many ways, and you seek out relationships with people who are imperfect in complementary ways. It takes a lot of life experience to grow fully into yourself and realize your own imperfections; and it isn’t until you finally run up against your deepest imperfections, your unsolvable flaws – the ones that truly define who you are – that you are able to proficiently select harmonious relationships. Only then do you finally know what you’re looking for. You’re looking for imperfect people who balance you out – the perfectly imperfect people for you.

3. Stop judging current relationships based on past ones.
Think about those times when you passed an unfair judgment on someone merely because they reminded you of someone from your past who treated you poorly. Sadly, some people pass judgments like these throughout the entire duration of their long-term relationships. Simply because they were once in a relationship with someone who was abusive, dishonest, or who left them, they respond defensively to everyone else who gets close to them, even though these new relationships have been nothing but kind and supportive.
If you carry old bricks from the failed relationships of your past to your present relationships, you will build the same flawed structures that fell apart before. So if you suspect that you have been making unfair comparisons between your present relationships and a negative one from the past, take a moment and consciously reflect on the hurtful qualities of this old, negative relationship, and then think of all the ways your present relationships differ. This small exercise will help you let go of the old bricks and remind you that past pains are not indicative of present possibilities.

4. Stop inventing problems that don’t exist.
Inventing problems in our mind and then believing them is a clear path to self- sabotage. Too often we amuse ourselves with anxious predictions, deceive ourselves with negative thinking, and ultimately live in a state of hallucination about worst-case scenarios. We overlook everything but the plain, downright, simple, honest truth.
When you invent problems in your relationships, your relationships ultimately suffer. Insecurity is often the culprit. If you doubt yourself and you don’t realize your own worth, you will pass on any opportunity to let others care for you, and you will remain stuck with the insecurity issues that weigh you down.
The insecure passenger does not trust anyone else to drive. They feel out of control. They imagine that the driver is not paying attention. Or they may even fantasize that the slight jolting of the driver stepping on the breaks is a sign of doom via an impending collision.
They freak themselves out by assuming that the visions they have invented in their mind represents reality.
What you need to realize is that there are normal idiosyncrasies to any relationship. There are ups and downs and mood changes, moments of affection and closeness and moments of friction. These ups and downs are normal. Wanting to be absolutely close and intimate all the time is like wanting to be a passenger in a car that has no driver.
Next time you feel insecure, and you catch yourself stressing about problems that don’t exist, stop yourself and take a deep breath. Then tell yourself, “This problem I’m concerned with only exists in my mind.” Being able to distinguish between what you imagine and what is actually happening in your life is an important step towards self-confidence.

5. Stop focusing on the negatives.
There’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. Even if it seems perfect now, it won’t always be. Imperfection, however, is real and beautiful. The quality of the happiness between two people grows in direct proportion to their acceptance, and in inverse proportion to their intolerance and expectations. It’s how two people accept and deal with the imperfections of their relationship that make it ideal.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you have to accept everyone into your life even when it is obvious that they are not right for you. But it does mean that if there are occasional difficulties in your relationships, you don’t have to jump to the bold conclusion that the entire relationship is bad, and become so distressed that the relationship ends, or so insecure that the other person questions your intentions.
No meaningful relationship will always work flawlessly all the time. Being too black and white about the quality and health of a relationship spells trouble.
There will always be difficulties present, but you can still focus on the good.
Insecure people constantly look for signs of what’s not working in their relationships. What you need to do is look for signs of what is.
Having an appreciation for how remarkable the people in your life are leads to good places – productive, fulfilling, peaceful places. So notice their strong qualities, cheer for their victories, and encourage their goals and ambitions. Challenge them to be the best they can be. Every day, acknowledge just how amazing they are.

These are things you should apply in your life everyday. Keep on practicing (as I am still practicing) until it becomes part of you.

The floor is yours… Do leave a comment.
