Throwback: PDP are sinners while APC are not saints. @Throwback Word! I'm deeply irritated by those 2 political parties whose members keep jumping from PDP to APC and vice versa. Both are now birds of a feather. Pure scammers! Diasporans and Nigerians have had enough of these 2 political parties. Who wants to invest in Nigeria under the turmoil of insecurity, nepotism, and the B.S. over pampered Fulah bandit herdmen from across the Sahel? |

Donmams: An affidavit deposed to by Ibrahim Olowopopo, the driver of the national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Lai Mohammed, before an Osun State high court sitting in Oshogbo, has revealed that Mohammed was arrested during the Osun gubernatorial election for allegedly being in the habit of abusing President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a 14-paragraph affidavit deposed to by Olowopopo, who drove the car that conveyed the applicants from Lagos to Oshogbo, alleged that the event occurred on August 8, 2014, about 9pm, while they were on their way to the Government House to meet with Governor Rauf Aregbesola to honour an appointment.
Lai Mohammed, Salisu Shuaibu, Sunday Dare and Ibrahim Olowopopo (applicants) have jointly instituted a “fundamental rights enforcement” suit before the Osun State High Court, accusing the DSS of political witch-hunting and victimisation.
They have slammed a N500 million suit against the DSS for their alleged arrest and detention by agents of the service during the just concluded governorship election in Osun State.
Specifically, the applicants alleged in the suit, which is expected to be formally filed by their counsel, M. A. Banire & Associates, on Monday, that one of the reasons they were arrested by the DSS as allegedly claimed by one of the officers who arrested them was because the APC publicity secretary “was in the habit of abusing President Goodluck Jonathan”.
Apart from seeking a N500 million compensation for the illegal and unconstitutional violations of their fundamental rights, the applicants also want the court to order the respondents to tender a public apology to them.
They are also praying the court for a declaration that their arrest and detention by officers of the respondent on August 8 and 9, 2014 was unconstitutional, illegal, null and void and in violation of their fundamental right to personal liberty as guaranteed by section 35 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999.
The applicants are further demanding a declaration that their arrest and manhandling by the respondent on days constituted a violation of their freedom from torture, inhuman and degrading treatment as guaranteed by section 34 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999.
Some of the grounds on which the suit is based included: that the arrest, torture and inhuman treatment to which the applicants were subjected by officers of the respondent are definitely not approved by law as the applicants neither committed nor were they convicted of any offence to warrant such treatment by the respondent.
Also it states that the arrest, torture and inhuman and degrading treatment to which the applicants were subjected by the respondents were based on a frivolous allegation of loitering as later disclosed by the respondent’s spokesperson, Mrs Marilyn Ogar, in an interview on Channels television on Thursday, August 14, 2014, which offence is unknown to law.
Read more @: http://leadership.ng/news/381251/lai-mohammed-detained-abusing-jonathan I bumped this up to show the PDP supporters who are known liars and have short memories that this is one of the evidence to show that PDP was very brutal in regularly using the DSS to violate the fundamental rights of APC members and others during the Presidency of Goodluck Jonathan! The APC Data Centre in the Opebi area of Ikeja, Lagos State was also heavily damaged in 2014 by the DSS and other security agents on false allegation and APC members were being harassed by the PDP. The pictures of the horrendous damages to doors, computers, documents, etc, were published on the front pages of Punch and other publications. These liars are notorious for saying online and offline that GEJ's PDP government granted APC freedom of association. Now they are complaining in 2021! In 2021, this same DSS is still being used to intimidate innocent people such as Chief Sunday Igboho and the criminal murder of 2 people in Ibadan by the DSS (Igboho's uncle and Igboho's lieutenant after 1am). PDP and APC have to be voted out at the national level so that the country called Nigeria can stop being an under achiever since 1999! Enough said! |

AldrichAmes: I believe you’re conflating two completely different things. I never mentioned anything about Tinubu and drug trafficking (if he did or didn’t, that’s his prerogative). And I honestly don’t care about online gossip from people with ulterior motives.
I know for a fact that Tinubu abused drugs and the information is from people who know him. What I don’t know is if he still indulges in it. And with an eye test, if you know about drug users, you can see it by looking at him. Compare how Pa Adebanjo and Prof. Akintoye who’re relatively older look, to Tinubu, and you should be able to see the difference. Muhammad Ali had a much more severe strain of Parkinson’s and he never looked the way Tinubu looks.
Also, there’s intelligence report out there that Tinubu and OBJ gave their blessings to the assassination of Igboho. So for someone who seems distant due to undergoing treatment, he does have time. Doesn’t he?
Anyway, that’s beside the point. What’s the plan-b of a Fulani ends up winning the APC presidential primaries for the 2023 elections? Okay your feedback was very insightful. What kind of drugs abuse are you talking about here? Aspirin? Paracetamol or some pain killer? A Plan B? The Presidency will def go to the South. The core North cannot cling to power after PMB. If it's the SE, these are the top 3 Presidential aspirants offhand: 1. David Umeahi. 2. Rochas Okorocha (Speaks Hausa fluently). 3. Orji Kalu. 4. Kingsley Morghalu would have been good if he were to be in APC. The SW Presidential aspirants: 1. Babatunde R. Fasola. 2. Kayode Fayemi 3. Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu. 4. VP Yemi Osinbajo will not want to contest because of fatigue... Unless he is speciall prodded. My gut instints. Adios! |

oyatz: Your explanation is too educated for these guys.
However, I think certain conservative Northern forces may surprisingly be backing Tinubu, not out of love but for the possibility of Tinubu dieing in the office and his Northern deputy replacing him ala Yar'Adua scenerio. @Oyatz, I like your feedback here. There are many variables at play in politics and only a healthy Tinubu will be able to avoid any landmines. My own major take is that Tinubu who is in his late 60s should not even contest any national election and respect himself when the ovation is loudest. There is a growing resentment towards Tinubu and other Yoruba politicians by the Yorubas themselves over the thinking that he and others are not speaking out loud over the invasion of Yorubaland by criminals. So they need to speak up other wise the Yorubas will take revenge by not voting for these politicians again. I like the man (Bola Tinubu) though because he fought for democracy in the 1990s even at the point of threats by the Military to his life and other NADECO leaders. He harboured a lot of exiled Nigerians in his Chicago mansion in the 1990s. Cheers! |
Politics › Re: Yoruba APC Members: What's Your Plan-b When A Fulani Wins The 2023 Ticket? by AlphaSoul: 8:01pm On Jul 04, 2021 |
AldrichAmes: Even Tinubu is jittery in his inner chambers right now and the handwriting is on the wall. Buhari even dared him with openly saying “you can’t sit in Lagos blah blah blah” and he had to do that when Akeredolu was getting too bold hence Buhari has been speaking lately.
Fulani won’t give up the power without a fight and the agenda is overt in everyone’s faces. And if you think you’re a fox, you can never tame a lion.
So that begs the question: what’s the plan-b?
I don’t expect the street urchins here to post anything logical since most of them can barely string a sentence together. What they do is for survival. And even with the current crop of Yoruba governors in APC, for a group as educated as Yoruba, only Fayemi and Akeredolu are educated based on Yoruba standard. The rest are semi-illiterates.
Tinubu is also old and I don’t expect someone like him who abused drugs for a long to be mentally sharp enough to deal with the encroaching tsunami. So who’re his lieutenants/advisers? My friend... I agree with a significant part of your post until I read your "highly defamatory" last paragraph. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was never an abuser of hard drugs neither was he ever a drug baron like some tribal bigots have been posting falsehood online and on NL ever since they heard unconfirmed rumours that he was going to contest in 2023. Tinubu travels regularly to the U.S. and senior members of the U.S. Embassy pay him visits. If it is true that he is a drug baron like those kids and simpletons have been posting online, the Americans would have arrested him (since the political exile years in the 1990s when the iconic Bola Tinubu who is a U.S.-trained Chartered Accountant and Senior Mobil Nigeria staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Kayode Fayemi who was the Director of Radio Kudirat in the UK, broadcasting in a guerrilla fashion from the premises of BBC HQ in Bush House, London , etc), and jailed him. It's a very serious offence in the U.S. It is very obvious that Tinubu has Parkinsons disease which causes vibrations of the hands, body and slurred speech with a groggy look. I know the signs very well. This is due to the ageing process and NOT due to the abuse of hard drugs like some of you are falsely posting here on NL especially Ibos, some bitter Niger Delta boy of Ijaw origin, and now I'm seeing a few young and angry Yoruba here spreading this fake news because of the bias of the government in dealing with insecurity from confirmed Fulani kidnappers who have been arrested many times and killer Fulani armed herdsmen all over Nigeria! These criminal elements among the foreign and local Fulanis do not even have any respect for PMB other wise they would have listened to his warning to stop the criminality. All they are after is money. Fortunately there is now a cure for the debilitating Parkinsons disease which is a neurological disorder. The body vibrations and classic slurred speech and mistakes he made while reading a speech he made in Kano as of this year, can be corrected in the U.S., Canada, Germany, etc. I believe Tinubu seems distant from commenting lately because he has been undergoing some form of treatment. I hope this helps. Cheers! |

@TripleOh7 Just a quick one. I certainly do not work for the VP like you insinuated. I'm the CEO of a coy with international connections and an investor. Period. I've been using NL since 2005 and have some older NL accounts from the mid to late 2000s. I initially thought you were one of those ethnic bigots here who have been falsely calling the Yorubas cowards and refugees for relocating to Benin Republic but unknown to those trolls, it is still Yorubaland they moved to. Porto Novo (or Ajase in Yoruba) and Ketu (Ketou) are parts of the larger Yorubaland in Benin Rep, and extending to the Atakpame region of Togo. There are 34 indigenous Yoruba Obas in Benin Rep as of last year when I read an interview that one of the foremost Obas from that country granted to Punch. I appreciate the passion with which you have defended the displaced Yorubas of Ogun and I'm on the same page with you. You and I sort of misunderstood one another's initial posts. I majorly disagree with you praying that "negative prayer" in your last post towards me and the VP. "So you have to take it back." That prayer is "uncalled" for since you and I are on the same page and are looking out for the interests of our people in the light of the clear injustice by the agents of state at the Federal level against Sunday Igboho and his lieutenants. Those who did the criminal extrajudicial killings at Sunday Igboho's mansion will be brought to justice in another government like the military boys of that dark goggled army man (the big thief stole up to $5 billion thru the CBN for keeps in foreign banks) who died in Aso Rock in 1998, who were thrown into jail by OBJ's government. I hope this clarifies things. All the best. |

Childofthelord: Last week my church friends and I visited an acquittance in Victoria, It was my first time taking a ferry and I loved the fact that we could travel with our car parked in the ferry. It felt really cool because we did not have to sit for hours on a road trip and we got to watch movies, have fun and enjoy the sea. We arrived the sea port and drove off in our car.
So yesterday, I had a discussion with a friend and we talked about this same sea transport can be implemented in Nigeria. He slipped the idea of a private ferry company that runs fast boats across Lagos coastlines and ferries that will accommodate cars as well. I loved the idea but I believe a lot of research needs to be done to determine the exact focus of such start-up. Uber boats and Lagos ferries seem to be doing the people transportation. But the idea of bringing your car along was pretty new. I think the sea transportation sector(to commute people +their cars interstate) is untapped and there are many opportunities here. We are about to start working on it and I will update you as we do some research.
What do you guys think? This would be profitable and awesome in the Lagos waterways (Ikorodu to V/Island), etc, but could come under severe pirate attacks in the PH to Bonny Island axis waterways like many others. |

Same thing happened to my wife’s elder brother in the UK but he was smart enough to outsmart the wife, sold off everything they have secretly and liquidated the money into bitcoin, did travel papers secretly and before she returned back from work one day, house is emptied and her husband already back in Naija with their two kids. ASUNDER: My friend is currently going through a divorce in the UK and having a hell of a time. His wife mounted as many allegations on him as possible during separation - domestic violence, marital rape, child abuse, drugs and alcohol use, adultery, forgery just to name a few. He had to leave the house. He has moved to a room in a shared house and now even struggling to pay the rent. He does not see his kids anymore (not by choice). He is very broke and in debt because of all that is going on. He can no longer afford a lawyer. He feels so powerless, helpless and hopeless that he cannot fight most of what his wife is putting him through in court. He represents himself these days.
He has stopped looking after himself and is always looking sad . He also lost his job due to his arrest and all the drama. He was arrested because he tried to go see his kids at his former home and his wife called the police that she was afraid of him and that he had come to harass her. Police arrested him even without any traces of any harassment. Note that he moved out of the family house voluntarily thinking that the period of separation would ease tension between him and his wife.
I always feel sad seeing him in this state and just wish that he could recover and bounce back. He is considering moving back to Nigeria.
Have you gone through divorce in the UK or do you know anyone who has? What was the experience and what advice would you give someone going through this?
Thank you. That word again! "Harassment." It has been used to blackmail a lot of men on the dating scene and in marriage in the Western countries. |

Romance › Re: See 10 Cool Ways To Last Longer In Bed; The 8th Would Shock You. by AlphaSoul: 8:16pm On Jul 02, 2021 |
Jamezafolabi40: I know before now, you have read so many techniques on how to impress your woman in bed by lasting longer but I'm here to shock that you have been learning the wrong thing because you have been suffering while she's has been enjoying it shouldn't be a parasitic relationship but a symbiotic. You get? There are ways by which sex is being done that makes both parties feel fulfilled unlike the conventional when the man would be worn out because he wants to satisfy his partner.
Lasting longer in bed is one of the most important things in a relationship or marriage. The ability of a man to go for long rounds during sex is one of the most attractive features of that man. It so important that women usually discuss how long their partner stays on them during sexual intercourse with close friends and confidants.
It is no fun for your partner when it all ends too early. The general belief is that sex should last for half of an hour or even more.
Many men are self-conscious about finishing too soon, as everything from those movies to porn magazines has led them to believe that women love and enjoy extended sex sessions.
According to some online researchers, the average man lasts two minutes or less. However, if you are looking for cool techniques to last longer in bed naturally, here are simple tips that may be helpful.
1.MASSAGE
One of the most difficult parts about squeezing sex into such a busy life is making the transition from your daily life to the erotic zone. In fact, the absolute manner to de-stress and turn both yourself and your partner on is through massage. It is necessary for you to learn how to offer satisfying, deep massage at home and take about 5-10 minutes for exchanging massage before starting the intercourse. This way, you will encourage yourself and your partner as well to breathe deeply and relax well. A great back massage and foot massage or butt massage could prime your body for more comfort and pleasure. Fact is, each minute of massaging will be a perfect tool for people who want to know ways to last longer in bed.
2. TAKE TURNS
When it comes to ways to last longer in bed for men and women, the golden rule is to take turns. A lot of couples have sex in such a constant give-and-take pleasure mode. That means they touch their partner at the same time when they are touched, rushing towards the complete line together. Thus, from now, to last longer in bed, you had better take turns, then your sex will be more satisfying and last longer. To put in simple words, taking turns means being the Giver and Receiver. When being a giver, your task is to relax and receive as much as pleasure as you could. When being a receiver, your task is to lavish the partner with pleasure. You should learn proper ways to use the hands to please your partner and take him/her on the journey of arousal.
3. CONTROL THE SURROUNDING
Fact is, having sex in such a comfortable place where you and your partner will not feel overexcited will help you last longer. Avoid anything which is too exciting such as public sex. If you feel relax in the bed, then you should stick to the bedroom till you can take control of your orgasms.
4. LET THE WOMAN BE ON TOP
If you are a man, then let your woman climb on top. That way, your penis will be less stimulated. Also, ask her to go slowly because fast and long thrusting is really hazardous to the endurance of a man. You may also need to try entering your lover and not moving for a few minutes in order to acclimatize your own dick to the feeling of her wet, warm insides.
5. START-STOP TECHNIQUE
With this technique, as a man, you will have your woman stimulate till you feel nearing orgasm, and then ask her to immediately stop. Once your sexual tension stops, even within just 15 seconds, then have her to continue. By this way, you will be able to last longer in bed.
6. SQUEEZE
According to some sexologists, there are three areas of the penis where applying pressure or squeezing could help a guy sustain or maintain an erection. The first: make a tight ring with your index finger as well as thumb around the base of penis when it is erected, thereby stimulating a penile ring. This could help a guy keep the blood flow to the engorged dick.
The second: apply a proper pressure on the underside of your penis’s head. That is exactly a hot spot for most men, densely packed with nerves. The last: press on the “perineum,” or the spot between the base of testicles and the anus.

Childofthelord: Yesterday, I read a Q&A post on Quora from a black girl asking why white men do not find her attractive. I will set the race card aside and talk from my experience.
For ladies: It is not easy to find a spouse here, it no longer depends on your preference, its whose preference are you. The dating pool is larger and contains many varieties of fishes. My friends do mention that Canadian guys often stare, flirt with their eyes, ask for their name but never engage in a meaningful conversation or even request their phone number. My longest relationship with a white guy was 2 weeks, he just wanted sex. I am currently with a Nigerian guy I met in church and we understand each other. Personally I think Canadian guys just prefer to date their kind.
For men: Easy! You guys just need a pulse lol. Although, I have found that some Nigerian men often make an effort to marry Nigerian women either from their church abroad or coming home to find a wife.
In one sentence, if you have a committed and healthy relationship from home, I would advise you hold on to that. Yeah... It is what it is. The white folks would always gravitate towards their women than women of color because of cultural differences except in some instances where the guy has a global/multicultural perspective to issues. Stories abound of a few shady guys and ladies in the church space who just wanna hit-and-run so you've got to be a step ahead of these types. |

HolyTrader: Two years following the completion of Beijing Daxing International Airport, Chengdu has officially opened its own mega-airport.
Chengdu Tianfu International Airport – the second international airport in Sichuan’s capital city – started operations on Sunday morning. Chengdu is now the third city in China home to two international airports, with Beijing and Shanghai as the other two cities.
Similar to Beijing’s Daxing airport, Chengdu Tianfu is located roughly 50 kilometers away from the city center – depending on where you’re trying to go, of course.
A trip from Chengdu Tianfu to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is around 84 kilometers away, according to Google Maps.
According to Sichuan’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the city’s two airports will eventually be connected via Chengdu Metro Line 19 – providing a 30-minute commute.
Sunday’s official opening marked the completion of the project’s first phase, which includes the construction of three runways and two terminals that can handle up to 60 million passengers annually. China Daily reports that long-term plans for the airport terminals will cover 1.4 million square meters and handle 120 million annual passengers.
Chengdu’s two international airports should help the city become a major transportation hub, linking the PRC with Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Europe. However, this may take some time as China’s borders remain closed off to most foreign travelers, and a reduced number of international flights are currently bound for the country.

I want ourpeople , both the pro and anti protest factions on the field and the social media, to understand the trend of war .
*NOTE*
It is always a trend. From Libya to Syria to Yemen to CAR to Somalia to Liberia to Sierra Leone to Ivory Coast to Rwanda. Here are the stages:
*PLOT* *1*
People protest
*PLOT* *2*
Many try to encourage them.
Soldiers fire live ammunition into crowds to scare or disperse protesters.
*PLOT* *3*
Mob retaliate and burn down government and influential leaders' assets.
*PLOT* *4*
Army and police withdraw due to international pressure. They begin to guard their barracks only.
*PLOT* *5*
Anarchy sets in. Mob goes after assets of prominent figures and in some cases notable government officials.
Powerful and influential people flee abroad with their families.
*PLOT* *6*
Mob goes after assets and lives of middle class or anyone that has semblance of wealth or conncetion with the government.
Estates housing the middle classes or government officials are attacked.
Remember, no more police or army to protect them.
*PLOT* *7*
Full scale war breaks out as opportunists with group interests and egos take over
*NOTE* : Is it an open secret that a few groups have been campaigning for the break up of the country.
Competing interests and internecine wars end up tearing the country apart.
*PLOT* *8*
Refugees flee the country in millions to become beggars in other countries.
*NOTE* Which country in West Africa has the capacity to take refugees from our country?
Remember, the population of Lagos alone is hgher than that of most West African countries.
*PLOT* *9*
I heard some people are saying US will come in.
I laughed.
To do what?
Has the US finished solving its own many problems.
Common, this is not the 1960s!
No external forces will quell the in fighting.
It will be our cup of tea.
Remember a few of them have predicted that our country might not exist in the next few years.
Gotten it?
The internal wars will be a continuous recurring decimation.
With no uniting force, no military or police or government, we might have the Libya scenario.
I hope we are paying attention and praying.
All those mansions, designers this and that, and even loved ones could disappear in twinkle of an eye.
Those abroad that are fanning the flames will be eating Kentucky chicken in their respective cozy homes.
US, UK and the UN will turn blind eye, except the UN peace keepers who will be kept in one expensive hotel - Remember hotel Rwanda?
UK, US will sell us arms and buy free passage and licences to mine our natural resources.
What we all need NOW is CAUTION FROM ALL SIDES.
If we continue this way, no one will be the winner.
If the country scatters, God forbid, no group or faction will get what they want, not even the youths or the celebrities calling the shot via the social media.
*TIME* *TO* *RETREAT*
*THE* *PROTESTING* *YOUTHS* , *SHOULD* *WISE* *UP* . *INTERESTS* *BEYOND* *THEIR* *CONTROL* *HAVE* *HIJACKED* *THE* *PROTEST* . *THEY* *ARE* *NO* *LONGER* *IN* *CONTROL* .
Parents who have seen wars before must call their children to order.
Why destroy the States' limited resurces and heritage when most of what you are protesting about are constitutionally beyond the powers of a State government?
Again , I cite the example of - South Sudan, Libiya, Syria, Iraq, Sierra Leone - years of wonton destruction , loss of lives and livelihoods. Everything and everyone will be on the route to destruction millions of naira in the bank will be worth less than toilet roll.
Houses become unliveable.
This is no longer about who is right or wrong, it is about who will be safe? Mad sick! This is the uncanny scenario that usually plays out. |

The SEC on Friday charged the Ramat Gan-based SpotOption, which provided the platforms for a significant number of the hundreds of firms that perpetrated the global fraud, as well as its two largest shareholders, Malhaz Pinhas Patarkazishvili (also known as Pini Peter) and Ran Amiran, with defrauding US investors out of over $100 million through “fraudulent and unregistered online sales of risky securities known as binary options.” It further alleges SpotOption used “deceptive and manipulative” tactics, including rigging the trading platforms, to make certain that investors lost
The fraudulent binary options industry flourished for over a decade, from 2007, until it was outlawed by the Knesset in 2017, as a direct result of The Times of Israel’s investigative reporting, which began with a March 2016 article entitled “The wolves of Tel Aviv: Israel’s vast, amoral binary options scam exposed.” Many of the Israeli firms have since relocated overseas and continued the scam.

TripleOh7: When history is taught in future and this demonic administration is mentioned, his name will be mentioned alongside and future generations will wonder how a professor of law could be a part of murderous government that's violating the rights of the people that elected them into office.
He won't be alive in 200 years time to explain then.
Even if he writes a book, how many will read it?
A good name is better than silver and gold.
His people in Ogun state were ransacked from their homes and they fled to Benin Republic where they became refugees but the little man said nothing.
Posterity will not be kind to him and his boss. You made some good points above but I have some observations to make. Those people who left their "isolated communities" in Ogun State near the border simply moved into the safer Yorubaland in Benin Republic where they have family members and a lot of intermarriages occur between the Yorubas of Nigeria and the Yorubas of Benin Republic along the border areas. You can't taunt them by calling them refugees like some ignorant people have been posting here on NL. They simply moved to meet their relatives and friends in the Yoruba area of Benin Republic. They were also received by senior Benin government officials and the Oba of the Yoruba town that they moved to in Benin Republic. These facts are in the public domain/media. The VP (Yemi Osinbajo) is NOT stupid and would have spoken behind the scenes about the criminal attacks by those Fulani bandits all over the agriculural belts in Nigeria! |

Rollyluv: What then happens when the theif changes the Imei That's the reason why a person has to ACT quickly by reporting to the police and get a police report which would enable the police and the mobile service provider to track any stolen phone. Only the police are authorized to track lost phones via IMEI tracking in Nigeria as of now. Hope this helps. |

TechCapon: Of course you can track your phone by reporting it to the police and giving them all relevant information regarding the phone. The thing is police will charge u for it, sometimes up to 50k. If you think the phone is worth it for you just go ahead. Luck Better to do an IMEI tracking with the security agencies. |

iLegendd: What is the moral of this thread? The morals are:
1. Turn your time on Nairaland to money. 2. Learn a skill even if it's just graphic design or web design. 3. Have fun, but don't forget to be productive because time waits for no man.

Tilda001: Most of us are like birds in cages. We really want to get out but we are so comfortable with the little our owners (parents) feed us and we are so comfortable in our zone while there are some that are being pulled back by the other birds (family and society).
They are scared of being killed by the preys or hunters, failure, taking risk andu hunger.
Parent and pressure keep holding and shielding us from the fear of the unknown.
Life is not as easy as you think. You will never grow if you're scared of failure and taking risk.
Failing is normal, taking risk is normal, crying is normal, being hurt is normal but the abnormal and most painful thing is losing opportunities.
Some of us are so scared of getting rich because they think they will be hated, envied and even killed by village people while most girls are so scared of being wealthy because they don't want to be tagged as prostitutes.
It's even worse when a lady is richer than her spouse. We really need to change our perspective and mindset or we will keep moving back ward.
A lot of females have been made to believe they won't get a responsible man if they are wealthy and they keep praying for a rich and successful men.
While some of us think the only way to make it in life is to go to school, study the best course, work very hard, graduate and work in a multi millionaire company.
They start giving us emotional talk and shouting '' school na scam'' when it does not work out. I know the government is the major cause of unemployment but there are some graduates that should Still be in secondary school.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you should not study hard or go to school but make sure but make sure you invest in yourself (soft and hard skill but not yahoo).
There's no way you won't be successful if you're intelligent because you know how to use your skills in the right way.
Aim to be successful, read books, make researches and model rich and intelligent people (not greedy politicians) and your life won't be far from them. Awesome post! Deeply insightful. |
Romance › Re: Have You Ever Seen A Girl In A More Complex Dilemma Than I? by AlphaSoul: 9:06am On Jul 01, 2021 |
Scented: Hey guys, I opened this account just for this reason alone, I just can't use my popular Nairaland moniker. I'm a very active and popular member on Nairaland but I'm using this moniker because you guys might give bias advise if you all know who I'm.
I'm 27, I work, not earning high though, but enough to keep me financially independent to some degree to fix my basic needs and wants.
I'm dating Daniel, I'm in love with him, he is 29, he works for an average firm, his pay is just like mine, just average pay. But enough for basic up keep and basic "flexing". Now I wanna tell you what's so special about Daniel, he is 6 feet tall, he is not too slim and not muscular, he has not just a handsome face but a pretty one, he makes my intelligence seem like ignorance with his high level of intellect and smartness, he has taught me a lot I couldn't have learnt even at Harvard University, calling him intelligent is an understatement! And about intimacy, ladies, have you ever met a guy who is so good in bed that you can hardly resist him even when you are in your worst mood? Daniel is just something else in bed, he is perfect in bed. His is a firm and loving guy, he doesn't tolerate me behaving silly but yet he still draws me closer if I behave silly. He has never hit me even when I get on his nerves, he acts calm and collected and goes silent if he is not in the mood to put me in my right place with his some harsh words.
Career wise Daniel has focus and has a vision where he sees himself in the next 5 years. He is my 3rd ever boyfriend and he is the type any girl would wanna keep.
Now the only issue with us is that Daniel has told me he would be ready to get married when he 31 years, that's 2 years from now, he has calculated everything for me to see how it would take 2 years before he is ready financially and otherwise, he is not a fantasy dreamer who thinks he would win a jackpot and marry tomorrow therefore his 31 years age mark of getting married considering his current job and future career prospects.
Now guy number 2 is called Joe, he is 32, he is a very high earner financially, generally he is a nice guy, handsome, neat and a gentleman.
I met him at my place of work some months ago, although he doesn't work there, he had a project with us which made him to frequently be at my work place a lot during that period. From the initial familiarity talks and all he stated it from the beginning that he wants me as a wife and he has observed me for about a month and I'm the one but I always sternly told him I'm dating someone else I love and nothing can happen between him and I. He has asked I follow him to his family house to see his mom on a couple of occasions, I refused on all occasions. I have never accepted to even hang out with him for once, we just talk on phone and chat.
I was surprised when one day at work during break at the cafeteria he came with his mom, he smiled and left us alone, his mom looked me straight into the eyes and told me that as a woman she gives me her word and she is telling me that her son is for real and not just after sleeping with me, she even told me that she already told her son she will not vouch for him if he wanted a sex involved courtship with me. And she also told me she liked me the first time he son secretly brought her to the office so she can see me. She also said if I agree the families would commence marriage plans after Joe and I have had about 3 months of courtship, after which we would do all medical tests and proceed to the actual wedding proper.
My dilemma now is this; In 2 years from now, would Daniel still love me and remain faithful to me and still keep to his promise to marry me? If I decide to wait for Daniel, in 2 years from now I would be 29, isn't that too much of a risk to take?
My parents and relatives keep pestering me about marriage and in my family all ladies get married before they reach 27, I'm the only person who has clocked 27 without being married yet.
I'm in love with Daniel, I'm crazy for that boy, but Joe on the other hand offers me what Daniel can't offer for now. I don't have feelings for John at this stage and to be fair he is the type of guy any girl can fall madly in love with if given a chance into her life, so my question is this- "Should I wait for Daniel or should I give Joe a chance?"
Please this is more complicated than the popular cliché; "If you are confused about two people to love, pick the new guy because if you really loved the former guy you would not consider the new guy". This is more complicated than that, please I need good opinion and advise, and your reasons for your opinions.
Thank you all!
Note: I copied all the romance section commentators I know who I'm sure would not disappoint me in giving me good advice. LMAO! The answer is staring you right in the face... Grab it! The initial "gbola" has beffudled your mind. Ciao. |
