Maybe when she had cancer. There's a street called hope,I think I read an article like that from her. Life can push one but ultimately don't end your life. There's a possibility for a cure and she got it. If she had died then it would have been all over.
SageMK: True. Every baby has the right to live and I do agree with that but everything else he said is undiluted nonsense.
1. There are special medical circumstances where abortion is a thin line between life and death for the mother and the foetus . Is that premeditated murder?
2. Does he justify giving birth to a child into a world with no parental love or care, no education, no food to eat, clothes or shelter?? What will become of that child??
I dont think anti-abortion law applies to medical issues that endanger the life of the mother. I think there's a law covering that already and its not seen as abortion. For eg there's no debate whether an ectopic pregnancy should be removed.
But in the case of inability to cater for a child then there are contraceptives or avoidance of sex. It's not a reason to take another soul.
amc: They are asking for the FG (not Jonathan himself) to fulfil the promise they made to them. But they are also aware that money was released to some people but not them. Read the article below.
amc: Nope. Miyetti Allah are demanding the money that was promised and released, that they have not seen.
Released to whom?? I thought they said Jonathan promised to give them but was not re-elected? If Jonathan has released the money why are they asking for the money again from the Federal government. If the money was stolen, they should be asking the government to probe what happened to the money not another release.
A family friend was depressed. Even her husband argued that she was just pretending. She cut herself severally and was even packing wastes in her clothes bag. She couldn't practice her nursing profession because no one wants to employ an unstable person to care for life. She was sacked in all the places she got job (menial jobs) because she couldn't coordinate again.Someone took her to see a doctor/therapist. Today she's employed and working as a nurse in an average hospital. Seeking help early is very important.
PopeFlatino: U know one thing I realize in this present world,, People expecially Relatives won't pay attention to u until u die..am a Living testimony,Since this year I have been suffering massively like never before but no one cares, suicide isn't an option yet but with d way am depressed and broke I pray I survives it..
I will go on Facebook to make a post like "so depressed" or any possible message accross to interested ones, all of them will start famzing u publicly , asking u on comment "Nna wats d problem?"... but once u inbox d relative that u need little cash to solve ur problem he /she will snub u or block u.
To d extent dat I even begged for 2k here on nairaland and a guy messed me up with joke..
But once u die ,all of them go just contribute #10k or more for ur burial...
In summary,We should learn to detect signals earlier,if u have help a brother before it turns soar
No matter how it is don't kill yourself instead find a way out. Instead of asking for cash ask to work and earn. You can even do labour work, errand boy work, market runs. Only you can change your situation. Forget relatives, most have their hand filled with their personal problems. Those that grew up in orphanages who are their relatives? Take the bull by the horn. Get busy and avoid loneliness. Loneliness drives depression.
aribisala0: Reason I ask is cause varies with age .
From 30s on it is likely to be what is konw as degenerative changes i.e old age. Good news is in your early 30s there is still hope to arrest progression. Firstly do you have no existing conditions or injuries etc .
One thing we all do these days is SIT DOWN.
We sit down too much and that causes the muscles surround the spine to be weak
Thank OP for sharing this,it came handy. I currently have this issue and had series of Xrays yesterday. Mine is work related. What are ways to manage this?
BabaAduras: Nigeria will never move forward if we continue to look at every POTENTIAL CRIMINALITY from Political prism.
This guy is charged to legally constituted COURT of LAW with certificate forgery. What is wrong in that? What is political there? He is not detained somewhere without charge pending investigation. If he innocent let him prove it at the court.
The stupidity of most of these political tainted comments is that the only place the government CANNOT gap anybody up is a COURT of LAW because no matter what, he will have his say. He is now taken to that court, fools like you are now complaining.
Get yourself a brain.
Talking about forgery please where is Adeosun? And i thought Adeleke was said to be charged with exam malpractice instead not even forgery. If we want Nigeria to be good, treat everyone with fairness and equity.
tactius: Having said the above , as a follow up to my previous post, if you want to pay decent salaries for doctors, nurses, etc, you have to charge high fees.
I mentioned earlier that I was earning 30k at one time. It was a rural hospital, the patients were mostly poor villagers who had very little money, and were not paying well.
The hospital the guy applied to is probably in a similar region. That's why I think the doctor is a joker.
I now work in a teaching hospital. Salary decent, prices much higher for patients, clientele city dweller.
Am glad I worked first in the village though. One learns how to do more with less
If its a Rural area then it can be managed but in Abuja, thats too poor. In the rural area people can even give you food stuff for free.
tactius: In my opinion, government should privatise tertiary healthcare and make primary and secondary health care its focus.
Every death affects me, and every death hurts me. I always find myself going over the possibilites. What could we have done,? What could have been done.?
..Dear doctor tactics l was touched by your post. However someone have to take responsibility. In a government hospital there is a head who everyone is answerable to,that person should ensure that every department do their duty. I also do no want to believe that government hospitals cannot generate funds. Most government hospitals run as if they don't need customers, most staff are rude thus only those who has no other choice visit them. In UPTH for instance 95% of funds that would have flowed to them from ultrasound and other scans are lost to private centres. Funds are never in excess, hospitals have limited funds like in every sector but someone need to take the hard decisions. And in such case there's no reason for a hospital not a beer parlour not to have oxygen or emergency live saving drugs. Meanwhile government hospitals is just like every government institutions in this country where efficiency is relegated to the background. So for me a public private partnership is much needed for our hospitals to function. I'm glad to hear that we still have doctors who think like you on what could have be done differently when they lose a patient. I think they are all so indifferent and untouched by deaths. So I believe that if the hospital administrators of today should think like you maybe things will be better. Meanwhile the life expectancy of Nigerian doctors are not greater than that of an average Nigeria. So do take good care of yourself,we need good hearted people in our health sector. All the best.
This is a very disturbing information. Looking at it critically, this is very possible. Please they should prove death sentence beyond reasonable doubt. I hate all this death sentence.
Even if you follow all the rules, they will still ask for bribe. If you dont pay, they will delay and frustrate you. But if you insist and remain patient, they will evetually cave in. It may take one year or more but that fly will definitely fall. But many people are not ready to wait it out so they just pay them chikina.
Glo was my very first line. After I dumped it for MTN I never went back. Next I got a second line Etisalat. Even if I need a third network tomorrow I will go for Airtel. Glo no dey try.
This is beyond me. You can't flog or fight her just move out. But you said she threatens you with knife. Are you sure she is not taking something? Also her mental health can be checked
On Good Friday you fast that's the first rule. Is fasting also from pagan ceremonies. Secondly you abstain from anything that makes your flesh glad. Meat is simply basic. It's assumed we all enjoy meat so meat got hit. It's not like a pagan tradition were certain meats are forbidden. A path has been created,if you are a spiritual being you take it further. Fasting and abstinence should be part of the life of any serious Christian. I am a Catholic and know there's things the church got wrong in history but this is not one of them. Peace!!!
