Good morning! The keyword I picked from that Igbo slang based on how it was explained to me ws "redundance." That was why I felt insulted and dished same to you. I retract my jabs and I am deeply sorry too, pardon my ignorance for misunderstanding you. You are right about my being an amateur and I guess I should keep mum and learn from experts who are going through/ have gone through that phase.
It's alright,I wrongly assumed you were Igbo when I made that comment,my fault. Don't be hard on yourself, you are not an amateur but a young woman so don't keep mum express your views and learn from others. And sincerely money is not a ticket for a woman to be lazy. We as women should be productive and still take proper care of our families. A help should not take over our core motherly and wifey duties. Striking a balance is the key. God bless you with a happy family and a good life/career sis.

He's obviously a fake pastor. I remember one i watched on Fatal attraction that killed his wife cut her up and stored her body in the freezer for 2years. He still goes to church and preaches and all that. He even got his most senior daughter pregnant and was sleeping with the one next to her. When he was exposed even his general oversee defended him. Finally the truth was revealed and church people scattered.

Refer back to your reply under my comment( the part in Igbo) you cannot play the victim card after insulting me, it doesn't work that way.... You are an Engineer and so..? I bet you think nairaland is a hub for low lives who are still battling with JAMB. Engineer Alabosi you can refer back to this thread and comment after you have bagged a PhD. Until then, hold your peace.
I didn't insult you. Ejighi afufu Anya isi is an Igbo saying and it is not an insult. Incase you didn't understand it means suffering is not something to boast of. So definitely you misunderstood me. I stated my own case and how it's tough to cope without help and simply put up a popular Igbo saying. Thus there's nothing wrong in getting help. And getting help is not laziness. And i said if not for lack of funds I will have as many help as possible. Poverty is a bastatd. That's not an insult but having a different view. I work 8-5 to pick my child from school at 6 everyday. At that time my child is the only child left in school. I run like headless chicken every evening. Some days I close as late as 7.30pm. Get to her aunty house 8.30pm exhausted pick an equally exhausted crying child and head home to do homework, cook, feed, clean etc.

However if you felt insulted,I am so sorry. My comment that I'm an Engineer has nothing to do with you. And I never had in mind that I was talking to a jambite(afterall the discussion has nothing to do with education) but I knew I was talking to a young woman who had no experience on what her mum passed through and was using it as a ref. We strive to have a better life than our parents. However you kept crossing the line on a simple discussion you are having with a fellow woman. I am not getting a PhD in this life and next. So let me end the discussion forever.

Marrying a "big" man is not an excuse for laziness, but then again, it's different strokes for different folks. Thus, you can hand over all motherly responsibilities to your maid, nanny and all as a "big" woman that you are. You can even decide to birth your children through a surrogate...
Well even though my comment didn't deserve this bad belle response,i won't feel bad. Yes,as a big woman I will spend the money and enjoy my life. No time baby. Hiring help does not mean neglecting responsibility. I'm an engineer and I know how to balance equations very well. Most of our mothers had help yet we didn't turn out bad. And the last time I checked children of the high and mighty in the society are still staying top. And yes whats wrong with hiring surrogates if you need to. I know some people who can afford flight from East to Lag but they will rather squeeze in a bus than spend the money. Life is once and I will live it to the fullest. So help me God.

Same here o, nobody should call me superwoman or wonder-woman biko. If I fall down die of stress, he will remarry na. I dey sure say na my papa go cry pass.

A colleague of mine once said, "I don't know why a woman will go to work Mon-Fri, spend hours in traffic, attend to kids, go to market on Saturday, comes back, jumps into the kitchen, cooking and sweating, all to fix a meal I/we would eat and shit in 2hrs. Outsource these things!!!! grin grin
My dear If the woman die tops one year,he don remarry. And he will find maid and all for the new wife and eat all the left over food and junks with joy. I have a cousin that lost his wife April last year,he remarried in Dec. The time I have that perfect wife mentality has passed.

If our mothers can do it, then we sure can. Humans are adaptive beings and there is no level of stress that can break you, maybe I should also add that stress is a façade( I can't remember reading any journal on Einstein and Co complaining of stress)... My mother had to contend with taking care of her family, her business and school.
Ejighi afufu Anya isi nne. My mum no even pass through the stress, she had help. If I get opportunity I won't even work sef but will still hire a nanny and house keeper. Poverty Na bastard. If you enter some kind big man house, you will understand.

Hubby and myself are currently on paid employment and we have a 2yr plus old daughter. My place of work is far from home and invariably far from my baby's school. I resume 8am close by 5pm hubby 7.30am close 6pm. We wake 5am. He drops the child off most times while i pick her . Her school keep her till 6. I always hurry and run like a craze person after closing from work not to cross time. It's stressful alright but daddy helps out by bathing and dress her in the morning while I cook. I pray God to grant me career stability and I'm definitely getting help once I have my son.

And why will a feminist feel comfortable hiring a helpless girl that should be in school as a maid instead of taking her off the street

was that the feminist dream? grin
Child labour is suffered by both boys and girls. However, i agree that Feminist should include children in the movement as women are the primary care givers. Children not just girls should be part of the focus. The children are the weakest in the society.

Simple truth: Adam n Eve lived together until dey sinned. Then came d curse;
1. To Adam He said, u shall toil d earth, d thorns n etc shall..... ( d@s to say Men shud provide for d family).
2. To Eve He said, u shall pass tru pain in giving birth, d snake....... ( d woman shud be home n takia of d home,)

The initial plan changed afta dey sinned n since den, women dnt like their condition.dey want to b like man,!!!

Last chapter of proverb(Bible), where u c d " vitreous woman stuff", u c hw d woman took care of d home, cater for children, giv dem food on time, etc. and her husband........ After seeing all tis said .... A VITREOUS WOMAN IS RARE!!

fat textbook is saying d truth. Bt today everytin is twisted n pple dnt even knw Wht is right anymo
My dear the virtuous woman was also providing money, buying lands, doing investments read Prov 31. Do not add or remove. Most of the things men are peddling around are what the society taught them not from reading the bible

Of the lots, Prof. Sadik Isah is the only Northern/Muslim in the Committee.

Only the truth shall set you free. How many of this positions are key? When you talk about key positions in Nigeria,we know;Security,Economy and Oil. Every other thing na jara. The last time i checked Adeosun has been long replaced so update your list. You just condemned the same thing when its was done in the dark age but supporting the same thing in jet age 2019. You even mentioned people from middle belt. Are they not from the North again? Abeg shift.

Buhari is aged and cannot act the way he supposed to act. He said that himself. My issue is why run again instead of giving another person a chance? Putting the fate of 200m people on someone who doesn't understand what's going on around him. Old age is a blessing why bastardize it.

GOOD!

And after the coup ousted and got Hausa and Yoruba politicians killed in gruesome manner, and Ibo man, Agui Ironsi emerged as the military head and issue decree 34 which cancelled the semi autonomous regional structure and imposed unitary system on Nigeria. After that, Ironsi appointees were majorly igbos and that further fuelled fear of domination among other ethnic groups especially the Northerners that led to counter coup.
Which means that what Buhari is currently doing with appointment can create mistrust and lead to destruction? We don't learn from history in this country.

That's my problem with you people.

Did you and your cohort rent your ears when he said was campaigning in Bauchi and he was in Kogi today and that should determine if he's fit enough?

He particularly mentioned himself walking around the field and how they presented their case to the voters.

I'm sure you and your kind want to hear that he's not fit or healthy to run.

Don't come here and comment in ignorance. I was on that station for the whole hours.
I didn't hear him talk about fitness and by extension the moderator didn't hear him. By tomorrow,I'm sure the text of the interview will be out so lets wait for it. And I'm sure you and your cohorts saw a very fit man today ready to run Nigeria in another 4years.

Mr President has a very short attention span
he ignored the question on his health condition to talk about not gonna lose election.

refuse to answer if he'll accept the result.
if you ask me, that's not an intelligent way to handle that question. he should be able to assure the electorate that he'll accept the outcome of the election
I saw some people attacking you for this observation. PMB never mentioned his health or fitness,he was specifically talking about the possibility of losing the election which was in response to the second question. That's why the moderator repeated the question on accepting defeat. That lady moderator is not daft. All the people quoting you were just making assumptions.
