Being a single parent is not a pleasant situation. In the case of pregnancy outside wedlock,the stigma involved last longer than a life time. But since life is not perfect,you have to walk through any situation that faces you strongly. Not aborting an unplanned child is a godly and challenging choice. However the poor parenting or lack of father figure affects these children. There are cases where the girlchild get wrong notions about men and find herself in the same situation as her mum and the cycle do continue. If fathers will take up their share of the responsibility,this can be averted. Another challenge is getting anoda man to father your child. My cousin for one was molested by her mum's husband. Then the challenge of providing for a child alone. It is a tough situation. It should also be noted that a single mum and a girlchild born out of wedlock are the most affected(women always at the receiving end). Abstaining from sex for young single people is actually more easier than this and anyone who sees single parenting as a way to go must have his/her head examined . God is the strenght of these women truly.

There was never any bonding with my dad except shouting or holding official meetings where you will be scolded or ridiculed. My dad has no time for leisure and no patience for kids. He sees what you call bonding as being a weakling. We never watched TV as kids courtesy of him. And he lived and worked away from us. We never liked him coming home but anytime he does,we will be praying for him to leave soon. There was a time we visited him and he treated us so bad that we threatened mum to take us home or we travel on foot. Now he do call me sometimes to know how am doing,even calling me pet names and it feels so good. How i wish he did all that when i was a little girl.

Marrying a pastor,you have to become a pastor blc you will start leading women in church. You may not do certain things or go to certain places or talk about certains things because if you do people must talk. Enough fasting,prayer,preaching and night vigil. You will sleep most night apart from ur husband. You may need to appear holier than thou. You will have a lot of females seeking ur husband attention. Your husband will become very secretive(members personal problems he wont share with you). Discussion in your house will most times be boring(holy talks only). You will be required to wear oversized suit and big hat. You may have to give up your career. Enough cooking as a lot of people will be coming to eat at your home. Your reward is in heaven sis. In my wildest i couldnt have dreamt of marrying a pastor.

Parents should be concerned about rasing godly children not ajebutters.Some people esp women even fight their spouse for correcting/flogging their child for wrongdoing. Give a child a sense of responsibilty while showing love.

What you earns will depend on who you are working for. The richest guys are the Industralist and Politicians every other person are just fighting for the left over.

Best marriage thread i have read on this forum. I really learnt something from this. For those single who are lamenting of being afraid to get married,marriage is simple. Its just like every other step in life,like when you get admission to a uni or got a job after grad the only difference is that you are taking this step with someone. So get ready to work with your partner.

@OP I dont see any problem here. I guess you and your wife do have discussion on finances so its easy. Discuss with your wife on your parents upkeep and decided what will be given to them monthly. Since her parents still earn something theirs should not be as regular. Apart from the joint account,you and wifey should open an account to save for projects and future. I dont understand why you are afraid of telling your wife your mind. If ur parents die God forbid ,will she stop you from paying for their burial. That she seem disinterested in their affairs doesnt mean she doesnt want you to take care of them. Even if she doesnt,that cannot stop you. As a man learn to strike the balance and do the right thing. Somebody somewhere may be seeing your wife as the reason why you are not taking care of your parents without knowing that she is innocent.

I detest tattoos,God doesnt like it. The only place i ever liked tattoo was prison break and it was just a movie. Tribal marks are not choices of bearer because they were put on them as kids but tattoo is a huge no no.

It works so well but like every other marriage it can fail if the parties involved are not ready to make it work. However what we have now is more of arranged courtship because the couple most times still go ahead to date each other for 6months or more before the wedding proper. It still very common in my place.

Virtue lies in the middle. Punishment should be equal to the offence. Dont kill a fly with a sledge hammer or you end up creating a bitter- wicked child. On the other hand if you dont correct(may involve some punishment) your child for wrong doing you will form a wayward child. Spare the road and spoil the child.

This reminds me of a question someone ask some day. If a wife earns 750k and the husband earns 50k and they need someone to resign and mind their 2kids who should resign? For me it depends on the family. I dont suscribe to people falling from grace to grass because of ego or what people will say. My sis-inlaw is suffering such decision today. The man can baby sit for 6month while making plans to start a business and be self employed. You mustnt work for someone.
