If you move,i shoot you guns is normal here. I feel very uncomfortable though when i see them carrying it. Incase of attack they still find it hard to protect themselves and most of their guns are faulty, celotape everywhere. |
I can only imagine.May God keep them safe. Putting ones life on the line for this country is really tough. |
If he refuses to greet, then greet him first. Instead of good morning just say Nnaa kedukwanu/Nnaa i bola? That may make him remember his manners. Maybe his mama no teach am to greet.I do greet my younger ones first if they forget to greet though. My mum do same to us if we dont greet her. |
They are gradually acquiring more territory. RIP to the dead. People will now be afraid to go to church. |
Good move by FG but not so quick. First of all let NMA and JOHESU have their own national conference for six weeks and work out a standard operating procedure for the health sector. If after six weeks they fail to agree, the organisations should be disolved qed. The health sector doesnt not generate any revenue for Nigerian economy even when Nigeria have some of the best doctors in the world. Its time for change. |
Change is the only thing that is constant. If one is open for positive change,he/she will have a better life than one who is stagnant. A partner can be an agent that inspires change but the other must be willing to change. If not,it will cause further problems. You can take a horse to the river but cannot force it to drink water. |
Bokoharam Invasion Season 3 just began. I sit don dey look. |
Bokoharam Invasion Season 3 just began. |
The day i took that name,i wasnt in high spirits at all but since the Word says 'Let the weak say am strong'. I chose to follow suit and am glad i did. |
After reading Snazzylove's and some other stories here,i really thank God for my family. My MIL,SIL,BIL are very sweet people. My MIL is the very best in the world, very beautiful and kind. I advise singles to pray for love in the families they will be married into. However it should be noted that some DILs are the ones that do start troubles in their new home. As a new wife, you will hear gossips about your new family, what you do about it will give you either peace or war. If MILs should enter this forum with their own stories,am sure nairaland will crash again. Women are their own worst enemies. I know a certain grandDIL that her 90yr old grandMIL cooks, clean and fetch water for and the stupid girl do beat the woman up regularly. And yet she was living in the old mama's house.Well a day came,a neighbour reported her and she was taught the lesson of a century. There are some new wives that are proud and insultive esp when their husband is rich(the i have it all everybody is under my feet type). Some wives are not wise in handling issues. I once lived with a cousin whose wife fought me as if am her enemy and her husband started and fueled the crises. What this woman never knew was that her husband (my supposedly cousin) was spining all those lies against me because i refused to sleep with him. Funny enough she never asked herself why her husband will be instigating war against a member of his own family(not normal right?). Some wives oppose their husband from supporting his aged parents while he support hers. While MILs are most times presented as wicked, they are DILs of yesterday and DILs of today are MILs of tomorrow. If we all can show love and forgiveness the family will be enjoyable. |
Virtue lies in the middle. I will strike a balance when correcting my kids.Deprivation,Talking to, Moral teaching,Physical penalty, spanking, flogging each will be deployed when necessary. |
Mgbe elu bu ala osa lol. I love this |
Spread the word to your family and friends. Its only a tree that hears it will be cut down and do nothing. God has given us the power to conquer the world including Ebola. |
I heard of a story of a pastor who was struck dead for not exposing his wife's infidelity. This happened somewhere in Nsukka. I believe there is a manipulation somewhere. There many other satanic manipulation term traditions. |
@OP sorry for your loss. You have to let the mourning time elapse. Every community have theirs, 6months/1year in most cases. If you marry before the mourning period ends, you just started a war that will last your life time(people will believe you killed ur spouse, including ur kids). After that you are free to marry. It now depends on if you are ready to move on. Make sure you consider your kids before you take this leap. Let your new lady be someone who will love your children as hers. And agree with ur new wife about the no of children that will be added to the ones you already have. Pls go for a matured and older lady if you dont want extra babies or want only one(hv seen this cause a lot of problems). My granddad never remarried and his 8kids grew up without a mother.I wish you all the best. |
iwakolewa: HmmmmMe too this an eye opener. |
Great. Time to grab more. Congrats Opara. |
God have mercy. We are in trouble. |
This is real life Nigerians. We can stop them if we unite. I know the gladiators will soon arrive here. |
lofty900: is it only in gaza that women are being slaughtered like chickens ? ask my chibok babes, they tell u more. BTW, UN cant do shitThe concern about Gaza is because its a state military attack and it can be stopped by negotiation but Bokoharam terrorist negotiation is none existent. If UN is this useless then there is no need for the organization. |
@OP Mine happened same 2008 during NYSC. I joined a night boat the almost capsided in Brass waters. I was in shock for 3days and couldnt eat. I felt death that day. I Thank God. My life is a miracle. |
Women and children are being killed in Gaza. Thats war crime. @OP One doesnt need to be a feminist to speak against something like this. The UN should wake up to their responsibility. |
Some people dont even kiss on their wedding day sef. A peck on the cheek or forehead is super ok but kiss is a no no. |
I understand the first hug even though the leg wrapping get as it be. The lifting is a normal thing in my family esp when one have been away for long. But i dont understand the second hug inside the guest room. What will the wife do if he find her husband hugging her sister alone in the guest room? |
This is serious |
That girl is an opportunist. She will still leave this present man when the time comes. |
100 Nigerians were murdered yesterday.Pray and be at alert fellow Nigerians. This is not a movie. We are in trouble. |
Yesterday was the day i got fed up with Nigeria and this Bokoharam issue. Nigerians let rise up and defeat this monster. Pray and be at alert. This is not a movie. We are in trouble. |

If she is having problems with people IDing her eg if she have important contract or projects still running, she should explain to her husband and keep the maiden name for sometime before finally changing it. This will help her counterparts to get used to her new name and make necessary changes. Though i have done change of name legally i still kept my maiden name on few things till they finally runs out to avoid the protocol of change and this was based on my husband advice. |
