Pregnant and passing through financial stress @OP you are not alone. We are passing through the same phase. The difference is,am the one venting my frustration on hubby even when it wasn't his fault since I manage the family finances and failed in planning. I believe God will make a way for us and i will be praying for you. But as Efemena said, reserve your strength for delivery. Your baby is the most important person right now. And i do believe your hubby will get over it and apologize. You are a strong woman. I can't imagine myself in your shoes. May God bless and keep you.

Emchio: I did both. Please take note, I started the self-study, two moths before lectures proper. Can't imagine paying that amount of money without getting the best out of it. The thought of it, wakes me up everyday, as early as 4:30am.

SAD. I remember when i was a child(9 yrs) i stood between my uncle and his first wife during a fight. My uncle was holding a cutlass. After that fight my mum warned me seriously but her advice for that woman neva left me. A dead person doesn't talk nor can she stand in judgement. When i got married that same uncle of mine warned my husband never to lay his hands on me for any reason. RIP to the woman.

This thread brought a similar thing that happened to my cousin to mind. I personally think it is wrong for a spouse to put on hold his/her career growth because of the other person. In a case this must be done ,there should be an agreed definite time the tables have to be turned in favour of the other.

@OP I understand how you feel at the moment. Nowadays parents no longer depend on their children,so it is quite unusual for a man to train his wife and then depend on her. Some of the guys ranting here should know that there are bitter facts of life. Anytime a healthy man stopped providing for his family,he loses his respect. Not just from his wife but also from the extended family,neighbours,friends and even their children.It will only take a while for that to happen. I wont be surprised if OPs husband's friends will jokingly mock him one day that a woman is feeding him. The guy need to wise up. Let him start from getting more education. He should also start his dream business small.Time is not on his side and the more you save without investing,the more you spend the savings. OP should talk to him again and also pray for him to 'find direction in life'. During bible sharing choose Bible passages on faith,failures and subsequent victories of courageous men. He will start believing in himself again.

Thank you Dr. i have been advised to hold on the mammogram for a while as am expecting and may not get an accurate result now. Is this correct? Sorry I forgot to mention it in my first post.

I appreciate the contributions of the Doctors in the house. Pls i have a question. When i was 16yrs old i had a lump in my bosom which was removed after 2 minor surgical session. The first was done in wrongly NAUTH Nnewi Anambra State. Before then i was not having any type of discharge but after the session i started experiencing some whitish discharge from my nipples. On subsequent check up following the first session the consultant said that the lump was not removed. My mum was enraged and took me to a private clinic in Ekwuluobia where the lump was finally successfully removed. But the discharge continued even after the 2nd session. I have visited about three doctors from then till now who assured me that the discharge is not a problem. I have not had any other issue with my breast since then. Am 28yrs now. Please are there any dangers. Meanwhile tests were carried out on the lump but i have forgotten the result. Will get back to you with that.

@ OP it looks like ur papa no tell you this, In African culture,it is the responsibility of the man to provide for his family. Stop asking your wife for her money if you want your respect. When was the last time you gave her money for her braids or are you the afterall she makes money type. Give her money for food,stop letting her pay for it. Let her contribute willingly if she wants but dont force her. If you continue like this you will also lose your children respect.

@ OP My neighbours are a deeper life couple. The lady usually keep to the dressing code outside but rock short gowns at home. As for perming her hair and wearing earrings tell ur friend to say No. But she should compromise on home dresses. Guess this problem have been solved already cheers

Am believing God for change in job by Jan 2014. I left my previous job blc of change in location for this one and have been here for 2yrs. It has not been easy at alll,the management policy of victimization,mass penalty,late salary payment,suspicion,employees not part of operational decison making etc. I lost it when i watch a co-worker punished on heresay. I know God will do it.

Am also about to resume work as an engineer in federal ministry of science an technology. So I guess I wil soon move from my present job to d next.

Please how do i get this federal ministry job? I read Chemical Engrg but presently work as a Safety Engr. My present job is killing my morale and they are planing to move me to marketing and that will just kill my career.

There is nothing wrong with it. Her parents are afraid of societal gossips and that it may eventually affect the older ones -vely.

On the sunday we studied the bible passage on the Rich man and Lazrous,my parish announced harvest for the year and the aim of the harvest is to paint the church and give it a new look. I sincerely asked myself who is the church that needed painting if not the members of the body of Christ;our unemployed youth,the widows,d poor,d sick,the Lazrouses in our midst not a building. A beautiful edifice is good but attending to basic needs of our member is better.May God arrest the Nigeria Church and give us a new direction.

Lord deliver us from all evil including the NPF blc they are evil. Imagine the trauma this little girl is passing true. May God grant this family fortitude to bear this huge loss. As usual i dont expect justice to be done.
