I stopped taking it last month but then my period is still light. Like it started with light brown spotting last night uptill now,it has not soaked a pad. Before now my period is usually heavy day 1 and 2. Am worried.
Health › Re: NMA Strike Ends On Monday, Says Health Minister by Amhappy(f): 1:03pm On Jul 05, 2014
jauntty: We hope the strike end soon.......However, I do not like the way FG is handling this matter. This is not just NMA vs FG , neither is it JOHESU vs FG, Its more of NMA vs JOHESU vs FG, and any solution that doesn't bring these 3 groups to a round table might not be long lasting. E.g. If FG agrees with NMA and stop Consultancy status for others, JOHESU will declare their own Strike. My advice is that we should avoid these sentimental and myopic views about these issues and ask our selves this question : What is the healthcare system and structures like in developed countries huh This should guild us in resolving this issues. Nigeria is not an island of its own.
This is the most sensible comment i have seen made on this issue. Drs are telling us others are not important,Nurses are saying the same about Drs. Is that how its done in other parts of the world? What is the best global practice? This is just power play and i tell you its not fair to the lives these guys swore to protect. Its just that GEJ is not a dictator or else he will have broken the 2 organisations.

GogetterMD: You can't carry them along cause they went ahead to form their own association, so they can present their case and fight for their rights. Btw, the hazard allowance for most medical doctors is just #5000. That can't even run tests not to talk of treatment. Compare that to poor nutrition cause of little time to eat (yes, that does happen), antecedent risk of needlestick injury with concurrent infection with dreaded HIV and hepatitis viruses (yes, many doctors have passes from this fatal diseases also), their families miss their presence at home in order to render services to the population. It goes beyond the money my dear, I can assure you of that
Well he who wears the shoes know where it pinches. #5000 is a joke as hazard allowance. I pray uncle GEJ find a way around it for the good of innocent Nigerians and in the face of terrorism, we have a lot of bomb victims in the hospitals at present.
Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Amhappy(f): 8:55am On Jul 02, 2014
Oduduwaboy: They are not exposed to the same hazards ma.
The surgeon deals with blood, body fluids, needle prick injury etc while the pharmacist or physiotherapist sees none of these!
I beg to disagree a bit Sir,the lab scientist, nurse, even the cleaner are exposed to body fluids and pricks too,the radiographer to radiation no matter how low and unharmful its tagged. I dont know if you have been opportuned to see how things are done in the highly hazardous Oil and gas sector. Nobody is left out. If a rig collapse both the foreman and mate goes down. What of if there is an outbreak of ebola for instance, every health worker will be at risk. Such allowance should cover everybody according to their level of exposure. In that case the Drs come first but his support will not be left out. The health sector have a lot of fight within themselves when they should be working together.
Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Amhappy(f): 8:27am On Jul 02, 2014
I thought the doctor is like the team lead in a hospital. If that is the case, the leader carried everybody along including their support staff, well thats how its done in Engineering profession. How can doctors be demanding hazard allowance only for themselves when their support staff are exposed to the same hazards or even more?

Family › Re: When Should Parents Let Teenagers Make Their Own Decisions? by Amhappy(f): 8:20am On Jul 01, 2014
It depends on the type of decision. They shouldnt take very important life decisions till they are adults. At 12-14 my child should pick his/her clothes i will only approve but i choose the school to attend. They choose their friends but i have to know them. As they grow older,i will guide them to make decisions but will put my feet down if my child is making an obvious wrong call.
Health › Re: Doctors Begin Nationwide Strike Today by Amhappy(f): 8:01am On Jul 01, 2014
Is this why the Doctors are going on strike? No wonder Nigerians fully hope on God in this country. If God keeps you healthy just thank him because if not, you are dead. PH.D holders in all professions are addressed as doctors so why would people in other medical profession not be addressed as such? Meanwhile Nigerians just addresses any male health professional as a Dr and female as nurse just the way all detergent is OMO.

What an ingrate. Typical Nigerian leader always looking for who to blame. So Enyeama go kill himself. Even the best keeper in this tournament will not survive that header. Keshi made a change that made our midfield collapse, who will he blame for that

Romance › Re: Pleas Help!!! My Sister Husband Is Asking Me Out by Amhappy(f): 6:38pm On Jan 07, 2014
Oh what is she doing in her married sister's? Ans Her sister invited her,she needed her help. A lot of people in nairaland behave as if they are from the moon. @ OP Tell your sister that you are leaving with her on wednesday and keep your words. Don't tell her why you left yet till when situation calms down. Don't go back there except for few hours visit.
Romance › Re: What Sort Of Devilish Wife Did I Marry? by Amhappy(f): 2:21pm On Jan 07, 2014
One funny thing about this nairaland is that people are only interested in arguing their views out thus tending to two opposite extremes. Virtue lies in the middle. I don't think OP want a debate on this matter. Both OP and his wife have done wrong. It is really callous for the OP to plan and invite his parents to take the kids without his wife's consent and It is very unreasonable for a wife to fight her husband talk-less in front of his folks to the extent of tearing his clothes and to hate his family. Those saying his parents have lived their life should know that they are not dead yet. Their grand children are part of their lives and we all pray to live and see our children-children. I know OP's wife's prays that prayer too. For those condemning OP's wife to divorce, she may not be a devil after all. I remembered i had a strong dislike for a sister-in-law of mine because of something she did during my wedding. I quarreled with hubby severally about her. She was the one that single-handedly trained him. I was forced to forgive her after all the grumbling.

So OP go home and settle with your wife. Talk, shout, slug it out and reach a compromise. Tell her to try and love your parents, she can pretend to. Then You,your wife and the kids should visit your parents together regularly on weekends(start from there).
Romance › Re: What Sort Of Devilish Wife Did I Marry? by Amhappy(f): 9:02pm On Jan 06, 2014
@ OP. If the devil has taken over your wife, she can be delivered. Why is she afraid of your family and cant trust them with the kids? What are you still waiting for all these years to take your whole family to visit your parents occassionally? Divorce is not an option here,OP u have to Pray, talk, firm up,shout, persuade, plead, change the rules and save your home. I thank God my mama born plenty, only child na wahala.
