Pantami is not a terrorist just because you say he is. Even today, he can travel into the US without thinking twice. As a matter of fact, he schooled and was based there before being called upon to serve the nation. He did not acquire the position based on "quota system", with a PhD in Computer Science and other degrees from respected universities including Harvard, he is eminently qualified for the role. While schooling in Nigeria, he graduated in flying colors despite being an Islamic scholar.

He is a well respected Sheikh whose antecedents are known, including well documented debates with rogue clerics like Mohammed Yusuf at the early days of Boko haram. He is a Sheikh, a muslim and a Northerner, that doesn't make him a terrorist no matter what you say.

The real people who will be affected by this policy are the ones sponsoring this smear campaign. Of course. Like we didn't know that all of these attacks are geared towards preventing the linking of NIN to SIM cards. The lack of a unified database and Nigeria promised to comply. It is inevitable whether we like it or not.

There is usually an audience with confirmation bias ready to lap it all up. It will resurface again in the future for a different narrative when this dust is settled.

Really? Well, the supposed exposed documents are not new neither are they true. They have been busted as fake news even on nairaland as far back as 2010. They were parts of inciting materials used by politicians to fuel ethnic tensions in the northern states of Plateau and Kaduna back then. You mean this same "documents" that has been on nairaland since 2010 and has been busted as fake? Documents like this and several others were very prominent in the North especially Jos and Kaduna States and were used to fuel the ethno-religious crisis in those States.

Nigerians will swallow anything if it suits their confirmation bias. That's why fake news is so successful in the country and has now become a potent tool in the hands of 5th columnists.

The only thing the EndSars protest 'achieved' is that it has made the indiscriminate killing of Policemen trendy. That is apart from increasing the general state of insecurity nationwide and helping to stoke ethnic tensions that Nigerians were learning to tolerate. Tragic!

When exactly did this Fulani cabals start ruling Nigeria? There was no mention of cabal during Obasanjo's 8 year tenure. Then Yar'adua came aboard and despite spending just 2 years before dying, the word cabal was being used at the drop of a hat. Despite how everyone pretends to love Yar'adua in death, we all know how much criticism he faced during his tenure, he was even nicknamed "Baba Go-slow".

The North ordinarily has no intention of holding on to power before 2023, it is the PDP that has sworn to zone their ticket to the North. The game plan now appears to be provoking the North hard enough to get angry and vote their "own" in 2023. Whether this strategy works or not will depend on a lot of factors.

Every John Doe now wants to jump on the bandwagon to vilify our Police, even for matters that don't make sense. A Bank is a high risk location and this third rate Journalist should know better than confronting lawfully armed men in a Bank premise. A live bullet from an AK47 shot from 100 yards is capable of killing 3 people standing right behind each other via entry and exit holes. An AK47 on automatic is capable of firing more than 50 rounds per second. In other words, it wouldn't take more than 5 soldiers to level up every living thing in sight on that night if they really shot live bullets at the protesters. We wouldn't be searching for evidence of killings after 4 months if that were the case, it will be too glaring for all to see.

Go back and watch the video of the Governor, he said a casualty was recorded in an "isolated incident" that happened at Admiralty road and the person died from "blunt force trauma", not gunshot wounds. The testimony of the Army was aired live on Channels TV and you can still watch excerts on YouTube. We do not have any testimony from DJ Switch nor any protester for that matter. Only rhetorics and already debunked fake videos and images on social media. Do not outsource your thinking capability to celebrities and Twitter influencers. Think for yourself!

Good question. The Lagos judicial panel was set up on the 18th of October, 2020 as part of the 5for5 demands of the EndSars protesters to address issues of Police brutality. Lekki Toll Gate incident happened on the 20th, two days after. In the first month of inauguration, the panel received more than 80 "genuine" petitions from victims of Police brutality including a petition from the sister of Evans the notorious kidnapper, who lost her pregnancy during Police interrogation. The Army was only invited to give their testimony following the Lekki incident, and they obliged. Whereas, DJ Switch and others didn't deem it fit to honour summons, not even via Zoom. But they keep wanting you to believe a massacre happened through emotional blackmail on social media.

Rinu pulling out of the panel over the judgement on LCC to take back ownership of the toll gate shows that the agitation was never for victims of Police brutality in the first place, they simply had their ulterior motives. People who had their accounts blocked were speaking up without any fear for their lives but we are supposed to believe that parents who lost their children on that day are afraid to speak up? The government must have threatened them with a punishment worse than death. The facts speak for themselves.

Please do, and keep an open mind while at it. Real victims of Police brutality in Lagos have been showing up at the panel including the sister of the notorious Evans The Kidnapper who lost her pregnancy during interrogation by the Police. The panel is expected to sit for six months and one month into its formation, it received about 80 petitions from victims of Police Brutality, but not even one petition from a victim or family member of the Lekki Toll Gate!

The excuse given by the protesters is that the government has threatened all the families into silence. Is this logical? Not even Mossad nor the KGB has the resources to threaten all parents, relatives, neighbors, friends, colleagues of a massacre simultaneously. But they will have us believe the Nigerian government with no database of citizens was able to pull that off. Let us be rational in our thoughts. DJ Switch who claimed she faced live bullets and even dropped dead bodies at the Soldiers' feet while asking them who sent them, is now so scared for her life that she can't come to the panel and is now seeking asylum in Canada. Is that plausible?

Don't try to rewrite history here! The Lagos Panel was inaugurated on 18th of October as part of the 5for5 demands of the protesters to address cases of Police brutality. The Lekki incident happened two days after, and so the Army wasn't even supposed to have made an appearance in that panel, but for that incident.

The Army honored the summons of the panel and gave their testimony with evidence to show that they didn't kill anyone at the tollgate. They were cross-examined and thereafter, rightly disbanded their legal team and pulled away. Whereas, none of the victims or families of the supposed dead made an appearance, not even the star-witness, Dj Switch! But you keep running around with the narrative that a massacre happened.

The protesters lied to us that the CCTV cameras were removed, but that was untrue as the footage was played live in court. You can still watch it on Premium Time's facebook page. The narrative has now shifted to alleging that the footage was doctored. The protesters are more culpable of dishonesty and lies than even the government as far as EndSars goes, as can be seen in the fake images and videos used in the course of the protest.

The company could not tell us why their CCTV stopped working on the day people were murdered and still couldn't tell us why the light that has been there for ages suddenly went off that same day. LCC is therefore an accomplice in the whole issue.

Of course no massacre was seen. The footage stopped working at about 08:20 p.m when the protesters burnt the room that houses the server at Admiralty way. Even from the footage, the soldiers have long left the toll gate before that time. Stop the sensationalism. The argument has long moved on to alleging that the CCTV footage was edited, but they had made us believe that it didn't even exist in the first place. Further shifting of the goal post is expected.

Is protest more effective than advocacy? How do you explain a coalition that was formed in June 2020 suddenly raising over 160 million naira barely four months after for a protest? Doesn't that tell you they were sponsored to push an agenda using the youths as pawns? We all saw how the Twitter owner opened a bitcoin account and verified all key players in the protest, however, his energy was a stark contrast when Capitol Hill happened. Segalink with more followers on Twitter and the original convener and voice against Police Brutality is still not verified till date.

Sega came out of a meeting with the protest organizers and made it clear he wouldn't be part of an Insurrection. He knows what he saw and what was discussed before coming out to make such statement. He was quickly vilified to diminish whatever he said. With how the protest turned out and how all the major organizers conveniently jetted out of the country, it leaves no one in doubt that what was planned was an Insurrection.

They simply borrowed the template of Black Lives Matter without even bothering to change anything. Black lives matter also ended in violence and looting. Is Police Brutality our major problem as Nigerians? That is why the protest quickly metamorphosed into Buhari must go when SARS was disbanded. We were all played.

When Boko Haram started in the Northeast, it was a rebellion against Road Safety who arrested Bikemen for not wearing helmets. Next they began to kill uniformed Policemen, then they graduated to killing Christians and burning down churches. All this while, the indigenous Kanuris supported them and tacitly approved of their behavior like I see a lot of Igbos do online and in person.

Today, the people of the Northeast will give an arm and a leg to end the menace that Boko haram has now become. A problem that has seen hitherto wealthy businessmen become refugees in camps depending on humanitarian intervention. The quietude and non-reaction of the North in recent times is not a coincidence. They have seen firsthand what conflict is. Their response will be non-violent. Chaos may seem pretty from afar but it is very far from pretty. The Easterners should continue to encourage potential terrorists thinking they are one-upping the North.
