Abeg where did you hear this good news?
You have a smartphone use it well and stop visiting those X-rated sites 😂😂 Use it to get yourself properly informed.

Every basic thing you need to know about Canadian visa process is online on the government website get yourself informed so Fake Facebook Visa agents would not suck you dry.

Even AI can help you answer questions you don’t understand, no matter how you ask them.

Na wa ooo, Linzo ....so you know someone to pay for a fast-track Canadian visa? 😂😂😂

Thanks, aminubala20, for this information. It has saved someone who doesn’t understand how these things work.

Scammers are quick to prey on desperation. The more desperate you are for something, the easier it is for them to swindle you.

In the whole of Nigeria, there are only about seven canadian licensed immigration consultants.

if you paid someone out of the 7 companies mentioned below you didn't pay a canadian lincenced immigration consultants.

https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

If you paid someone who claims to be licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, please mention the consultant’s full name and provide evidence.

I am waiting for you

Do not just make accusations provide proof. If the person is truly licensed and has committed any illegal or unethical acts, you can report them, and their licence can be investigated or even revoked.

Be careful when making claims. Always verify whether the consultant is officially registered with the College before paying for any services.

Thank you for this. I have looked into this school and the course I want to apply for is masters on Computer Engineering but I can't find details about the school fees. Do you reckon it will be in the same range with computer science?
Memorial university is generally a cheap school irrespective of the course

but computer science computer Engineering, Applied computing, Computer Information Teachnology

No one gives a F in all that they are all the same in a ground scheme of things

😂 At this point, Memorial University of Newfoundland owes me commission for marketing!

I have mentioned their lower international tuition so many times, I am basically doing unpaid brand promotion. They should at least send me a hoodie or something.

From my research, I found that tuition at Memorial University of Newfoundland is relatively low because it is the only public university in the entire province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Since it is the province’s primary public university, the government heavily funds and invests in it. Because there are no other major public universities competing for provincial funding, more resources can be directed toward this institution.

That level of government support likely contributes to why tuition even for international students has historically been lower compared to many universities in other provinces.

If you imagine a region the size of Southeast Nigeria having only one public university, the government would likely prioritize funding and investing in that single institution as well.

I just wanted a bit of insight. Tho what i mean by cheap is between the range of 5-10k CAD because the schools i have seen on my search are as high as 20k+. Program is master in the field of Computer or telecoms engineering or information technology.
The $20,000 you are seeing is that per year or per term?

I am asking because the average tuition fee for international graduate students in Canada is approximately CAD $21,100 to CAD $23,250 per year.

That would bring the total to around CAD $40,000 ( the whole program) for a master’s program sometimes slightly less, but most times more than that. https://www.educanada.ca/programs-programmes/education_cost-cout_education.aspx?lang=eng

Remember, most master’s programs in Canada are two years. You may find some one-year programs, but the majority are two years. Even some one-year programs can end up costing almost as much as a two-year program that’s just how it is they want to suck your money so one year 2 years you would still pay the hight amount....

As I mentioned, one school I personally know that has relatively lower tuition fees for international students is Memorial University of Newfoundland. https://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/tuition-fees-and-funding/

Now it’s up to you to check whether they offer the program you’re looking for

from the image below you spend 6 Teams as a computer science masters student in Memoral University Each term you pay CAD$2,600

so in 2 years which is 6 terams you would pay CAD$15,600 fees just fees some others things might add up but that's about 17 million naira in scholl fee in total for 2 years as an international student

Remember other dudes included but that's it....again Memorial University of Newfoundland is a chapter school compared to average schools

I got an admission to study in Canada. I need someone in on this thread to hold my hands and walk me through a step-by-step on how to apply and get Canadian study visa.
I am not paying for your service so agents stay clear. I need someone with first-hand experience to guide me one the documents and things to prepare myself for.
You said:
(1) You need someone to hold your hand and walk you through everything step by step.

(2) You are not paying for the service.

You need to understand that nothing good is free. If you truly want the best service, you will need to pay a licensed immigration consultant.

They are the only professionals who can properly review all your documents and prepare your application correctly. As a Nigerian, you should understand that the level of service you are asking for requires payment to licensed immigration consultants regulated by the Canadian government.

Many people already pay fake agents who do not render any real service. If you want professional help, you must be willing to pay for it. Otherwise, you can choose to do it yourself and ask questions when necessary.

However, if you anyone is helping you from free you must be very careful with sensitive documents because you do not always know who you are sharing them with.

You are actually right about the she not wanting to go through that stress. I understood that was the reason Omo me I don’t just know that’s why you see these English countries I don’t like there visa process cause it’s so stressful and too much money needs to be involved. Schegen country all these stress I won’t be going through it omo it is what it is oh I’ll try and no avail I’ll just let it go. I no go die because of Canada
It’s not about coming from a non-English country. It’s because you are applying from a low-trust environment (Nigeria), so IRCC requires much stronger proof that everything you are claiming is true unfortunately, that is the reality.

Over time, the widespread submission of fake documents by some applicants holding Nigerian passports has reduced IRCC’s trust, which is why the process has become this strict for everyone else.

Nigeria is among the top six countries where reports indicate a high prevalence of fraudulent documents https://irb-cisr.gc.ca/fr/renseignements-pays/rdi/Pages/index.aspx?doc=457580&pls=1&wbdisable=true&utm

In 2011, it wasn’t this hard for my brother. By 2015/2016, it became much harder my sister applied then and still managed to get her visa in 2016. For me, it was even tougher: I received two student visa rejections in 2015 and 2016.

Back in 2016, I was denied my second student visa and my fourth Canadian visa overall, even after paying $10,000 in first-year tuition toward a $30,000 program at Centennial College for a postgraduate diploma.

At the time, my dad had about $32,000 in savings, roughly ₦20,000,000 in his personal account, and a business account with about ₦100,000,000 between 2015 and 2016. Thankfully, I was refunded after the refusal.

Canadian immigration can be very frustrating, but if you understand the reasons for your rejection and properly address them, you will be fine

When reapplying for student visa due to denial do I need to create a new application again and submit all my documents all over again or just submit the one I needed to submit to address the denial? How does it work?
Everything should be new....especially the account statement. Also, make sure you address the reasons for the previous rejection before reapplying.

I submitted affidavit of relationship, they supported me when I was very young like kindergarten, like we even lived together as of the time my aunty especially was living close to our house in ph as of then so we always stay with her until she moved to Lagos 2006 same for my uncle he moved lived in delta but he usually comes around funny enough I’m the one who paid the 1500 maybe letting her pay that part would have been better I didn’t even think of it that way. Tho my co sponsor is the one taking care of the housing while main sponsor is for tuition, I submitted my uncles passport and visa he had. He even has the Canadian visa and uk tho my aunty didn’t send me hers. I think she doesn’t have in her new passport case she goes to the US. She works with chevron like she’s a permanent worker since 2004. Uncle is a politician. So they have steady cash flow. My aunty said she couldn’t find her employment letter cause it’s since 2004. I submitted my uncles own and paystub.
My aunty said she couldn’t find her employment letter cause it’s since 2004. americans will say thats CAP

She can ask HR to provide a letter confirming her employment, but she doesn’t want to go through that stress for you.

The main issue is that IRCC does not place much weight on affidavits with out back up strong documents . You actually have a good profile.....you just need a little push. Do everything that both Olasubomy and I suggested.

It would also be helpful to contact a licenced immigration consultant. Even though they may tell you the same things we have said, they can review all your documents and spot issues we might miss on the forum. https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

For funding opportunities
Funding opportunities in Canada exist, but they are limited.

Most are partial funding....either funding a project for a professor (sometimes the professor hands their research to master’s students to do), or PhD funding, which is where the real money is.

Fully funded internal student positions are hard to get, but you can keep emailing professors and trying your luck.

The U.S. has much better funding, in my opinion, because there’s more money available for research.

But Trump 😂 and all the wahala I understand

A smarter approach is to apply to cheaper schools like Memorial University and then try to secure partial funding maybe $6,000 here, $3,000 there.

You will save more time and money if your initial fees aren’t too expensive and you can combine them with partial funding or small education grants.

Check the scholarship / education funding website.

Sop Writer or anyone please I need your help on this. My uncle and my aunty sponsoring. My sponsors are very busy and some documents they like family relationship like birth certificate to give me is issue cause they are very busy people and my main sponsor at the time I applied had 23m and co sponsor 16k usd not cad actually usd as of when I calculated it, it was around 22kcad then the 23m was 22k cad I already did pay 1.5k tuition deposit. My co sponsor might have more now cause she told me she would have more this January cause she usually transfer her salary to usd most time so I don’t know I’ve not called her yet but I will. So the money part is not too much issue is the intent to return and family relationship with the sponsor please help how will I go about this? I submitted affidavit of relationship before just to help but it seems it didn’t help enough. I need help guys. My uncle and I both bare same surname my aunty got married so her name changed.
The best way to establish a genuine relationship with a family member is for your co-sponsor to pay the $1,500 tuition deposit. That, along with a submitted affidavit of relationship, helps demonstrate a strong connection.

Also If they have paid your fees in the past and can provide proof, that will also strengthen your documentation but not necessarily

The reason is simple: yes, they may be your family member with the same last name and all, but IRCC may argue that there is no history of them supporting you and ask why they should sponsor you when they are not your parents...even if they are family.

A payment coming directly from their account shows not only that they have the financial capacity, but that they have a vested interest in sponsoring you. It demonstrates commitment, especially when the initial deposit is paid from their own account....

They should also add the following:
(1) Employment letter
(2) Tax returns
(3) Current visa/residency or passport
You need all of these documents to establish a genuine relationship with the co-sponsor and include them with the affidavit.

IRCC knows that only genuine family members would be willing to provide such documents. Anyone can make up an affidavit, but attaching these documents shows real commitment and credibility.

This is not always the case, people have different reasons they want to study a program. You just need to prove why. It may be related to work experience or passion. The SOP is all that matters.
You lost me at ‘passion’ 😂 IRCC does not give two Fs about passion. What they care about is whether you can show measurable progress in your life and clearly justify why you want to study that program.

They want to see that the program is related to your previous degree or your current work experience, and that it will realistically advance your future career.

Don’t forget...you are a Nigerian applying with a Nigerian passport, and study permit approval rates for Nigerian applicants remain low.

I have shared the numbers multiple times...

A South Korean citizen can apply based on passion. Even a Chinese student can.

Nigerians, Indians, etc.....cannot apply for a program simply because of passion

You will likely fall under the healthcare category once you create your Express Entry profile. If you maximize all possible points, the probability of receiving an invitation is high with a minimum CRS score of 470. This route makes obtaining permanent residence easier than going through the school route.

Follow the Express Entry section on Nairaland for more information. Also, I like you to calculate your possible CRS score
