aaronson:It's her inbox... she has every right to reply who she wants to reply, and ignore who she wants to. However the guy in question also have the right to STOP sending messages to her inbox after she didn't reply his 1st and second message... but he didn't exercise his right, so that's his problem! |

Y'all ladies need to snap into reality and stop the illusion ![]() There is nothing like "in a relationship" "I'm taken" you are either MARRIED or SINGLE! There is no in between.... I posted it in this section because some ladies need this education ![]()

Ok, I came across this writeup (the attached picture) and I couldn't help but shake my head in disgust! I know it might be a joke and all, but the comments I read were somewhat disturbing... and I kept wondering, when are ladies going to snap out of the "MAN DEPENDENCY SYNDROME" (MDS) Like when?!How can we have self worth when some of you keep depending on a man for every single thing! And when the men say you can't do anything without them, y'all begin to feel insulted then wear your defensive regalia and join the negative feminist crusade. Look ladies, men will keep taking you as trash so long as you have the MDS... and that is the bitter truth! And Just incase you think you are being smart for making a guy buy all your basic needs, my dear, it's not smartness, but foolishness on your part... pure stupidity! What is your use on earth if you cannot provide your BASIC needs or did your parents bring you to this world with the sole aim of depending on a man or you are just not content with what they provide and you choose to embarrass yourself and innocent parents?? I really don't get what the problem is.Expecting a man to get you foodstuffs? were you on dry fasting before you met him And you get offended when guys refer to you as "a hungry girl"you have no right to be, because that is what you are!Expecting a man to get you your cream and soap?; Where is your self esteem biko?! Haba!!! How expensive is the soap or cream that you can't get it yourself? If you are still under your parents, stop using what they cannot afford!... and if you are working(no matter how small the pay is or the business you are doing is) buy and use what you can afford. Be contented. Ori and dudu osun is not expensive and it makes the skin lovely (that's what I use) try it and stop embarrassing yourself up and down! Expecting a man to give you money to change your wadrobe? are you going to start walking naked if he doesn't Obviously the ones you want to change were gotten by another man, and now that you need new ones, another man has to be responsible.. smh.. mbok, have small shame! if a man is responsible for your wadrobe, then what is your use as a human? When it's not like you are handicapped or disabled! if you don't have money to change your wardrobe yourself, then it's not yet time for them to be changed.. Keep using them, and you will change them gradually in a dignified manner.Expecting a man to send you money for checkup?, I don't even have anything to say about this. A man collects his salary you are expecting him to call you up and ask "hope you don't mind if I take you out and spoil you a little?" Lol, any man who does this is obviously suffering from some spiritual forces and he needs deliverance ASAP, and for a lady to expect such statement from her man, such a lady also needs her brain checked! And finally... the normal "send me credit" this one is even worse because it shows that you have disrespected your parents yourself. How can you expect a guy to send you credit to call your parents?? Some networks have airtime worth 50 naira. IS IT TOO BAD that you can't afford 50 or even 100 naira to "call your parents" Hanhan naw.. please have it at the back of your mind that whatever you are doing, affect the reputation of your parents directly or indirectly (since some of you don't have any to protect for yourself). Please we need to learn to start being independent rather than living on the MDS. That way, trust me, there will be less abuse and derogatory statements on ladies. Get your hands and brain busy, learn a skill or anything that will bring money no matter how small. And if this is not possible, then manage the little your parents can afford and stop embarrassing them thinking you are embarrassing yourself alone. I keep telling ladies, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FROM A GUY YOU OR YOUR PARENTS CANNOT AFFORD! It will bring ridicule sooner or later if you do. I personally do not accept anything I or my parents can't afford. Even if its a birthday gift, if it's something you can't afford, return it. If it offends him, then that's his problem! I hate insults so I avoid a lot of things. When I hear guys say things like "if it wasn't for me, she wouldn't have made it" or "I got her that" Or I "own her body" I don't blame them. Because you girls gave him the guts to say that. Of course he owns your body, if he is responsible for everything you use on the body.. Our WCW INSPIRATION for today is Hauwa Mohammed, the CEO of JAARUMA EMPIRE LIMITED. she is another independent young Nigerian woman who i had the pleasure to interview, enjoy and be inspired! 1. CAN WE MEET YOU? My name is hauwa saidu mohammad I'm 24 years old from Gombe state and the CEO of Jaaruma Empire limited. I attended ABU Zaria and Istanbul Kultur University Turkey, I'm not really based in one place due to the nature of what I do, because under Jaaruma Empire,I have jaaruma dresses, I have jaaruma hair extensions, and jaaruma therapy, so I travel a lot to get and sell my products. 2. HOW DID YOU START JAARUMA EMPIRE LIMITED AND ALSO WHERE DID THE CAPITAL COME FROM? I just started JAARUMA EMPIRE with the hair and dresses not too long ago, business has been good... but with the recession in Nigeria, everything is going slow, we are hoping for better times and better days to come. And as regards capital.., Tobi, nobody has ever given me a penny in my life for my business. All my life, I have hustled and I have always struggled... since when I was 17. I sell properties in Abuja and I was paid 5% of every deal I make. It was the 5% I saved up to start JAARUMA EMPIRE. and I registered it with the C.A.C. that was how I got my startup capital. 3. A LOT OF NIGERIAN MEN TODAY SEE WOMEN AS DEPENDENT, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT, AND HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL AS AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN? Yes, it is true that alot of men see women as dependent and frankly, you won't blame them. We have young girls today that already have the "depend on a man" mentality which is so sad especially for us independent women. I mean, I am my mother's only child, so I just had to be the man! I am her only "son" no one will take care of her if I don't struggle. I understood this at an early age of 17! It is really painful when men have to classify all women as dependent.. it is a slap on the faces of independent women which is not fair. I know what I have had to deal with in life to get to where I am today.. so it is really sad when some lazy girls depend on any man to survive and she is used as a yardstick to categorize all women. I don't feel happy to hear that atall. But that doesn't stop me from doing what I know how to do best. I love how independent I am, men don't like it when everyday you tell them "give me give me" no man wants that nau.. that is why guys now don't also want to marry a poor man's daughter, they want to marry a rich man's daughter because they don't want any liability on their head. Every man is looking for who will make their life better too.. so please my advice to girls that depend on men and their beauty to survive is this; please get something doing and stop embarrassing yourself, the hard working women out there and your family. 4. DO YOU THINK MEN ARE threatened BY SUCCESSFUL INDEPENDENT WOMEN? No. I think men now want women that are working, like I said earlier, nobody wants a liability... but then, men don't want you to be so independent that you will be bossing or bullying them around. That one is not good. 5. WHAT WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT DO YOU HAVE FOR THE YOUNG LADIES OUT THERE READING THIS? My advice to the young ladies is that, Earn it yourself so that nobody will say they gave you anything. And get something doing, no matter how small... never look down on any hustle. As you see me so, I dey sell tomato, I dey sell pepper too! I have never looked down on any hustle.. I am selling chicken and kilishi also.. I sell anything just to make sure I don't beg anybody. You know say Igbo no dey beg o.. they always hustle! And as the original Igbo girl that I am, I have that hustling spirit. It is not easy, and though somehow difficult but, just get something doing and don't take anything from anyone especially a man so they don't say I gave you this and that... or you are indebted to them. God will do it for you as he did it for them, you just stay focus and hustle legally. ************************************************************** I hope young ladies get encourage by this. We all should get our hands busy! Be independent! Be proud of what you do and stay beautiful... Thank you hauwa for your time. May God continue to bless your hustle. Lol, I was laughing while reading this! ![]() what's your take? Was the boyfriend wrong for slapping his girlfriend? (I know the girlfriend acted childish and silly) but, did he go too far ![]()

Chrisrare:Thank God no man can ever say that to me! The bold is just too harsh and wrong! You don't say that. She is your wife for crying out loud. Did you get married to her to constantly remind her of where you "picked" her from? That's not marriage but slavery then. May God bless all the ladies struggling legally.... and may God never bring guys with this mentality your way! Amen. I wish young women establish themselves financially before marriage just to avoid comments like this. |
