Millennium development goals were set out by the United Nations to help countries who are still suffering from extreme poverty fast track their development. These goals were meant to be attained by 2015 by the countries, including Nigeria, that signed into it. With just about a year to the attainment of these goals, fraud and misappropriation are preventing the attainment of these goals. Please read these investigative pieces below. From my own investigations, this is how it works. 1. All employees are statutorily obliged to contribute to the scheme. 2. Your employer deducts your contributions at source and remits to federal mortgage bank.(FMB) 3. You will be issued a passbook where records of your contributions will be updated on a monthly basis. 4. After contributing for six months, you can access the fund. 5. You approach a recognized primary mortgage institution(PMI)n open an account and apply through the PMI to FMB for the loan. 6. Before applying, you must have identified a property you want to buy, have your equity contribution in place with the PMI. The equity is btw 10 and 30% depending on the amount you want to apply for. The maximum you can get is #15m. 7. The interest rate on the loan is 6%. 8. It is a long and cumbersome process, but if you are patient, you will get the loan. I will advise anybody who wants to apply for it not to do it alone. You can get your colleagues who share the same vision to apply together so you can be encouraging each other. 9. Finally and most importaant, make sure you apply through a very reliable PMI because this will determine if and when you will get it. I hope we find this very useful. God bless us all. |
While wishing him good recovery, my fear is what becomes of south Africa post-Mandela. He is undoubtedly the greatest African of all times. Madiba the legend. |
There are job agencies. U can try EBTNG in ojuelegba. There is this other one inside dolphin estate, forgotten the name though. |
When you have ignoramus in power, their actions and inactions outlive them. Akala and Oyinlola because of reasons best known to them turned my alma mata from the best state university in Nigeria to its present sorry state. Unfortunately, d current visitors to the school are also clueless on how to resolve this impasse. The issues bedevilling the institution transcends te death of these student(s). Current Ladokites, pls let us exhibit high sense of decorum and intellectualism that we have always been known for. Our struggles shall not be in vain. |
LAUTECH Anthem. Arise Oh Sing Oh Ladokite, Ever militant, ever reasonable, Fighting for peace, love and justice, Intimidation we condone not, Great LAUTECH I'm proud of you, Great LAUTECH, you made me whole Let's join hands to make her great. Excellence, integrity and service. End. From what I have deduced from this struggle, the spirit of LAUTECH aluta that was in place in the late 90s and early 2000 when the likes of Diganga, Ropo, flow, Bolo etc held sway at the Kudirat Abiola building (SUG building) is still in place. The mantra then was no matter the protest, do not destroy any school property. And if the current students of my alma mata do not want their school shut down, they should remember the 2 days on, one day off of all aluta. May the souls of the departed rest in absolute peace and may the struggle of the living not be in vain. ALUTA CONTINUA, VICTORIA ACERTA |
@ manie, I like your analysis, but you failed woefully in all your estimates. If it is that easy then we will all be multi millionares by now. As per the question, FBN financials should be released in about two weeks time. Enjoy your day dream. |
So rumors are preventing the governor from constructing roads, build hospitals and classrooms? Its like daftness is an exclusive preserve of these Bayelsans. See names of their citizens sef, couple, ransom. Awon werey. |

I wonder what happend to the simple courtesy of informing the family members before making the names of the victims public. It is only the polithievians that are being mentioned as if the other victims have no loved ones mourning them. God is watching us all in 3D. |
I hope I'm nt the one. |
Wrote a test for her back in the university. I was popular in my faculty that people were surprised that I failed the course initially. Was writing the test and I was being rigged out of the faculty students union election in whic I was a candidate. Thatks just a tip of numerous things I did for this lady. Yet she still dey form strong head then. Na she loose eventually. |

I'm more baffled by people's response to this damning evidence of massive sleaze. Why can't we leave our political affiliation and save this country's soul. Corruption is corruption irrespective of who did it. Please let us save this country and stop being an appendage of the massively corrupt officials who are impoverishing the present and future generations. Where is the hope for this country when people of my age bracket who are supposed to be the hope of this country are just waiting for their turn to take their own loot as evidenced in some comments above. I weep for this country. |
Havilah93: what is MTN?Mumu Thieving Nigerians. Their network is so appaling. i managed to survive their yeye BB subscription for a month, the kind of speed that I used in changing them will make Bolt green with envy. |
First Vision 2000, later 2010, now 2020. We just seems to be shifting the goal postand yet never meeting the target.2015 is almost here for the attainment of MDGs and yet we are thousands of miles away. Thank God this is coming from a UN agency. Maybe they will believe and not see it as a ranting of the opposition. Waiting for the barkdog's response. |

When will this crude oil curse stop? Imagine the lives that has been lost since 1994 cos of some madness over nature's gift.Very sad. |
dt university road get as e be. i've had to part wt 2k b4 to settle those legal armed robbers in black . my advice to lagosians is dt if u don't know an area very well, don't drive there d 1st time u go to such area. dt is my own strategy cos u can't be too careful. i always wonder if those LASTMA guys are 4rm another planet, area they nt ordinary citizens, don't they also feel d brutality of our leaders? y can't they reduce d suffering of dr fellow citizens by providing guidance rather than lay in wait for u 2 break d law. |
ok. lemme get one today and i will be able to compare. calling Elizade motors. |
we like makin simple things complex in ds country. the essence of government is to meet d basic needs of d common man on d street. agriculture has improved and food prices is at an all time high. power has improved on paper yet supply to individual homes has nt increased significantly. pple are groaning. a govt meeting d needs of her citizens does nt need an attack dog, good work speaks. |
While not absolving Akingbola of any wrong doing. I thuink we shuld nt be oblivious to some facts. I caught my banking teeth at Intercontinental & saw it all in 2008 when SLS& Akingbola's issue started. The fact is dt sanusi has a personal score to settle wt Akingbola wch he is hell bent on doing. IBPlc ws nt as bad as SLS made us to beliv in 2009& d mgt he put in place really did dt bank in pretty well. Access acquisition of IBPlc is one of d greatest rip off of ds century. If d judgement against Akingbola is finally executed &d fund returned to Access then dr is little hope for ds country. Akingbola shuld be made to pay for his sins but not by returning such funds to Access as IBPLC was sold at an abysmally low price considering its assets spread over d country. |
Elueme: This would have been harmonished in the new tariff agreed cos it might be difficult to convince Nigerians on sectional payment... But what I must commend here is the reform process in its entirety, giving considerations to low income earners as its being done in the western nations is an initiative we must all support and endorse... I will enjoin the PHCN to review this new policy not because it is bad in its entirety but because Nigerians have still not come to term with trust and govt have a lot to do in convincing these investors... LET SUPPORT OUR GOVT, LET US REASON TOGETHER AND NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT SOONI've bn hearin e go better for abt 30 yrs of my life yet nothin has changed. My one yr old daughter shouts UP NEPA in her own little way. So i shuld tell her d same e go better that my father always say. Enuf of this complacency on our part Nigerians. |
