Boycott virgin. You can't make money from Nigerians and fire the citizens from your company. This is why we don't get any respect because our government doesn't realize the implications of these actions.

• Many healthcare providers are nonprofit (predominant in health and social-assistance)
• Because Medicaid is a major funding source for healthcare, nonprofits rely on this funding – but to differing degrees
• The percent of health care providers that are nonprofit varies with the services they provide (home care, hospital, skilled nursing care, etc.) So, if you end up with a ridiculously low bill you will know that the tax payers subsidized your health care cost. A path you definitely don't want to thread. If you feel you can't even show the cost breakdown to the VO during interview then that means you know it's a red flag and may cost you down the road. Go back and burn down the hospital. It has no use still standing while those leeches aka health workers get paid for killing people.

Madam Enyinne I asked about mosquitos because I haven't been to TX before and I know some parts of Cali have mosquitos esp in the summer (just don't know if it's enough to cause Malaria) It was a genuine question.

You're a few days post partum so I understand the blues.
Have a warm bath, eat and take your pain killers. You can buy a pump to help with suction.
Take care of yourself.

Malaria was eliminated from the United States in the early 1950's.

you are actually wrong. Getting married nullifies all your illegals . Usa believes in love. Even those who came with visiting always get approval for AOS. As long as you can prove you guys are real and you stay married for 2-3 years, then you get your stuffs.

This is not something to argue about, it's an open fact to everyone who live in the USA .

Falsely claiming to be a US Citizen is a lifetime ban from the US with no chance at a waiver. So, not all your illegals are forgiven.

This is totally unnecessary. The major issue in adjusting status by marriage is simply proving that your marriage is genuine. Your current status at that time, whatsoever, is totally irrelevant.

It is my correct guess you are not familiar with the US system.

Marrying a citizen does not automatically get your AOS approved. If it was that easy there would not be 11million illegals currently in the states. Your AOS can be denied and the applicant ordered removed from the country. If you want several examples I am willing to provide.

Adjustment by marriage is the only green card route that forgives an individual's past 'sins'. For this route, one's past transgressions are overlooked except for very serious cases such as terrorist attack attempts etc. This explains why people jump the borders and enter the US illegally, get married to a citizen and still obtain their papers despite illegal entry into the country being a very serious and punishable offense otherwise.

No, that will not be an issue. Please be careful about the kind of advise you give out here so as to not spread false information.

What exactly is the false information Mr USCIS officer?

slimmy05:
I don't see how this relates with his AOS. Even if he is out of status in as much as he can prove his marriage is valid and not for the purpose of green card, he can file for a waiver Form I-192 that would be approved. It is even free

Maybe if he was from Europe. I thought the i192 was for people outside the United States to enter as a non immigrant?
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Amother4life: 2:14am On Nov 03, 2015
slimmy05:
That's not true

When you enter the US, an immigration officer at the port of entry will issue you an I-94 card that indicates your non-immigrant status (F1) and your authorized stay. It is typically “Duration of Status” or “D/S” on a student’s I-94 card, meaning that you may remain in the U.S. as long as you are enrolled in the school to complete your academic program. After the program ends you will have 60 days to depart the U.S.
So, @Slimmy05 what legal basis does he have to remain in the Country? You think the immigration folks will not become suspicious that someone who is out of status and from a high fraud country happens to want to get married? You think the CBP officers who turned back his parents did not access his records and red flag his file?

No they had the visa when I was still in status and I thought it wouldn't matter again when they are coming down here, but anyway I really appreciate your response at least u give me HOPE

Your AOS application has a VERY high probability of being denied. You have already violated the terms of your F1 visa. Your school automatically notified ICE. After 9/11 all schools are required by law to inform the immigration authorities when a student no longer keeps to the terms of their F1 visa.

Please help...I mailed my Son's application for visa to the Atlanta consulate yesterday. I included a returned UPS envelope with tracking number. Will this be accepted or do I have to send USPS envelope

The reason the embassy clearly stated their preference for USPS is because they have a usps mailbox receptacle just outside the embassy gate. The mails are picked up every day. So, your ups mail may be slightly delayed. Next time just follow the embassy instructions to avoid unexpected delays.

Dear People Of God

My cousin intends to travel to the US for child birth, Please what u think, can her father inlaw be the main sponsor .

she doesnt really ve a really fat account, she can boost of just 2M and she has a steady means of income like abt 200k monthly but her hubby works for the government, her hubby salary isnt as much as hers.

Also she thinks its better she goes to the interview with her mum inlaw and she intends travelling with her mum inlaw, her mum inlaw has been given permanent residence and she travels anytime to the US.

She thinks this might open her to an higher chance of the visa to be granted

I need your experienced opinion on this please.

Many Thanks and God bless all

Your mother in law will NOT be allowed into the embassy without an appointment. Being a permanent resident doesn't give her any special privileges. You must show proof that you are financially capable of offsetting all your bills without relying on Medicaid. So, your mother in law will not bolster your credibility if your finances and preparation ( documentation, budget sheet, accommodation, Dr's correspondence etc) are not in order. Good luck

I didn't sign anything on it and nobody asked. I don't think it is needed at this time

You are meant to sign the passport. The CBP officer may have been distracted or else he should have made you sign the passport on the spot.

The child minor passport is signed by the applicant if they are old enough to write their own name. If the child (minor) is too young, the parent or legal guardian must print the child’s name and sign his or her (the parent or guardian’s) own name in the space provided for the signature. The parent or legal guardian must also write their relationship to the child in parenthesis next to the signature.

I was under the impression that nairaland makes its money bringing together as big of an audience as possible and then selling that audience's attention to advertisers. It's a business concept that works. Facebook brings in billions in revenue each year. They don't go about micro managing the thousands of groups on their website. If Facebook started charging users, or micro managing topics its membership would start shrinking fast -- and so would its revenues.
So, while Facebook may charge you for certain bonus features, such as gifts for your friends, or credits to play games like Farmville, it will never charge for basic access to the site or censor free speech. We all use google every single day and we don't pay a cent. Why should the people on nairaland micro manage information sourced solely by the users who are willing to share that information? The users are the reason nairaland exist and not the other way around.
Why then do people worry nairaland might start charging soon? Probably because nairaland users feel like they're getting something valuable for free, and everybody knows there's no such thing as a free lunch.
Just remember: The fact that we keep coming back to nairaland makes it easier for nairaland to sell more ads -- and make more money
Let JW and his team continue to source for their adverts but not on the backs of preggies who have spent their hard earned money to get the information and are well within their right to share if they so wish. We all have FREE email accounts and Yahoo,Gmail, AOL etc don't micro manage what you can send or receive either. People review products bought from amazon and actually suggest alternatives with links without any form of censorship from amazon. I thank God everyday that Google and YouTube do not belong to a group of people who would micro manage everything we could do on those platforms. There is a saying...He who burns down his house knows why ashes cost a fortune. Ma 1kobo grin

hi people,
just realised i won't be able to carry more than 3K $ for my trip. People on this thread usually carry huge amounts (7-15K$)
do you think it's risky to have so little in cash and tell them that i have the rest on my cards (& don't like travelling with too much cash )
could they turn me back because of that ? undecided

Phema:

Some people have traveled with such amount (or even less) and were successful, some others were not as lucky. I wouldn't risk it if i were you.

A lady here was sent back because she had $4,000 and had made part payment for the hospital fees. Another was detained until they were able to confirm her account balance from her Naija bank which was the next day. Some officers are overzealous. Better not to give them reasons to act it out.

If you insist though, choose you POE wisely.

@shanaka29 : Please, be very aware that effective 20/10/2015 all Foreign POS transactions on GTBANK cards are now restricted to $300/day. So, if you have a gtbank card and are planning to use same in the states better plan well.

I agree with Nerf as per US Embassy's skoin skoin in London. I have experienced it first hand.
In my opinion you don't really have ties to either the UK (as per your rejected leave to stay), or Naija (as you are not even present there yet).
I suggest you relocate on time to Nigeria and settle down before applying.

How far along are you? Do you have other children? Are your parents in Naija? Your house rent/mortgage is a good tie to your country as well.

Hope this helps.

I also agree with both submissions. You do not have legal status to remain in the UK and any attempt to apply for a visa will be rejected. You must be legally present in ANY country to even contemplate applying for a Visa . Your only solution is to return home and settle down before applying . I guarantee you that you will be asked the circumstances surrounding your return to Nigeria after 6years in England. Goodluck as you decide on your next line of action.

Preclearance or POE, the point is that if you are cleared in Abu Dhabi then no one will ask you any question in the US.

When travelers from a preclearance port arrive in the U.S. they do so as domestic travellers but are still subject to reinspection at the discretion of Customs and Border Protection.

When was Abu dhabi poe again? I really doubt that. Though they do their own thorough checks but I don't think it's a poe.

It's a preclearance facility for all U.S bound flights and not a POE.

Hi everyone,
My story is not d typical pregnant woman story as i did not inform d embassy of my change of intent.
Travelled at 32+ weeks with my mum on 18th oct with KLM (los-amst-bos). Got to boston yesterday afternoon and my plane was one of the plane that first landed for the day, so it was not a long queue.
Cbp off: what are you here for
Mum:vacation nd shopping

Cbo off:whrere are you staying
Mum:hotel..we already booked
Cbp off: how long are you staying
Mum : 4weeks

Cbp off:how much do you have with you
Mum &me: $9070
Cbp off: put yoir fingers and blah blah..stamp us fr b2 with no expiry date on it
Though i have all d information they might ask for in case they use witch eye see my belle as e no big (i have everything except change of intent letter)
We used less than 2min..then off to Agric, dey seized our ofada rice fried meat, ungrinded egusi and dried pomo .. but its fine am in.
Even d question i ws asked at amsterdam pass boston question ... before boarding the connecting flight there were some officers asking questions just like the POE in US.
Resting in boston for 2days then off to houston to meet my fellow naija mamas.
Boston seem like a simple POE...before it got to our turn, d cbp officer used less than 2mins wit evryone . Even with d fact that its our first time i thought it was going to be alot of question but it was not. But i dont know may be its because i was with my mother oo. I wish everyone coming into d US a successful entry.
Sorry for d long story

So, are you in the Country for only vacation and shopping? It seems you were asked a pretty routine question and you intentionally left out an important detail. I hope it doesn't come back to bite you in the you know what because that response was documented. It's also on record that you will be staying for 4weeks...

Highest: Mid December into the first week of January

High: Early January to mid April & mid June to mid August

Lowest: Mid April to mid June & mid August to mid December

Note ... this will vary a bit depending on who you book through, e.g. high rates might extend until April 30th instead of mid April.

You may not even be asked anything serious. If the CBP agent is coming to the end of his shift he may simply just do the needful and waive you guys through. Goodluck

Last point, i will be traveling with my mother and we both are on visa waiver program.
i'm planning on taking:
- our esta confirmations
- Dr emails (including cost breakdown)
- my budget sheet (around 8.5 K$ for c-section)
- 6 K$ in cash
- my last bank statement (with more or less 5 K$ net balance)
- my saving plan statement (15 K$)
- my last 3 salary slips
we will be staying with relatives.
Do i need anything else for POE ?

Since you are coming from a country that participates in the visa waiver program ( the European Union I presume) I would humbly suggest you refrain from using the popular slogan " because of better health care" for obvious reasons when asked why you decided to birth in the United States. There is really no "safe "POE anymore but there is always the grace of God . Goodluck

You better believe...

Usually they would offer people the option to Voluntarily withdraw their application for admission in lieu of being ordered removed under section 235B. If the passenger chooses to withdraw they would then stamp behind their passport "WD " So, was visa cancelled with or without prejudice?

I agree, but I guess they were also pretty confident since they were frequent US visitors.

Still unfortunatE sha, last last, the CBP could'vE stamped them in for a few wks for the holiday to rule out staying for childbirth. At least 18k is more than enough for a holiday.

That is why people need to be mindful of the fact that the visa only takes you to your POE...entry is never ever guaranteed no matter who you are, your travel history or how much cash we have. Sad story!
