Deepsoul or whatever idiotic name you hide under here. It seems the Igbo scares life out of you. All your imbecilic post is so full of Igbo hatred, Igbo this and that. Whatever useless place you come from is not safe as well. You want to claim you have not heard of Kidnappings in your sorrounding before. Upon all the insane posts of yours, you have not offered solution to the problem. If Ndigbo is your problem, you better go and hang. Castrated maggot.

Deep Soul:
Whether they are Ngwa or awgN, point is, they are igbo.
I find it very hard to believe that a Hausa man will have enough freedom to do that sort of thing in an Igbo land.
Regardless of the fact that Aba is relatively a cosmopolitan city due to its penchant for trading, it is also a very "indigenised" town.
That is, the "igboness" cannot be mistaken.
A Hausa man will find it almost impossible to "secure" a spot in an IGBO VILLAGE and be allowed to carry out these acts with the full support of the "host" villagers.

Anyone pointing to the fact that these animals may not be Igbo should think again!

The villagers around are all aware of what's going on and I can bet my last kobo that the community leaders are being "settled" by these bad boys.
So tell me how possible it is for these kidnappers to be non-Igbos. . .

When the Niger delta boys were on their kidnap spree in Portharcourt, we atleast had an idea of what to expect.
They had a target market. They werent this inhumane in their torturing.
But these igbos! Sheesh! They are so hungry they flag down public buses and kidnap everyone in it! How sick can that get!

I do not have anything against the igbos.
Infact my great-grandmother was Igbo! grin
But these boys need to get their acts together.

[/quote
This is nonsensical.

When we were having kidnapping problem in Rivers State and we told em it was mostly our brothers in Aba state causing all the ruckus, they did not believe. I hope Aba boys no go blame Rivers boys this time around o! grin grin
Those who kidnapped Elechi Amadi were his Ikwerre kinsmen. Kinsmen of anyone who is kidnapped are responsible for most kidnappings in Nigeria. As a consequence, count Aba boys out.

Politically and geographically, they are not in the east. It is the same with Yorubas in Benin Republic. They do not look up to Western Nigeria in political matters. Yet they are Yorubas.

Midwest Igbo, Bendel Igbo and now Delta Igbo means Igbo who live in those regions. There are non Igbo people in those regions or states as well but this is the only way you will know the difference. Had it been there are Urhobo's in the east, probably, they would have been called Eastern Urhobos.
It does not matter, the basic fact is, they are NdiIgbo.

That was a just a rough estimate on my part.

All I know is that their population is quite small in the grander scheme of things.
Ijaws are approximately 5 million.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by AndreUweh(m): 6:44pm On Jun 07, 2010
Ijaws are not up to 10 million.
2 million in Bayelsa.
5 hundred thousand in Rivers state
4 hundred thousand in Delta state.
40 thousand in Ondo state.
15 thousand in Lagos state.
200 thousand in other Nigeria cities.
Do the maths and tell me how they number up to 10 million. Perhaps someone is counting the fishes in the creeks as well.

The Ndoki people are balkanised into 3 states-Abia, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states. But the largest part is in Abia state. The others are agitating to join their kins in Abia state.

It is an outright stupidity on the part of those nairalanders who type Ibo instead of Igbo. Same as those who type Yoruba instead of Yoruba. Shameful.

I think we have loads of educated illiterates in Nigeria. How can someone come here and say Awolowo was the best leader Nigeria ever had and expect no static. As an Igbo man, i respect what Awolowo did for his Yoruba people even though he did it at the detriment of others. It's ok to say he's the best regional leader Nigeria has ever produced but to say he had no equal is insanity and a grave insult to the great nationalistic leaders this country has produced. It's just ike the Jihads telling us that Osama is the best leader ever. To them he is but to us he's no more than a freaking terrorist. That the same way the Igbos see Awolowo and you can't fault them for that Just the same way you can't fault yorubas for hating on Ojukwu. Let's behave like people with at least a secondary school Cert for once.
Well done Afam. The best brains from the west are not even posting on this thread. Instead you have castrated maggots displaying how shallow their brains are. It is a pity.

You have only started as you have less than hundred posts unless you have been banned previously. Show some respect to people as you type and let it not seem as if you are here to put your hand in your finger. Only shameless maggots do that.

You did not do your homework before you gave your silly body to a man you are not sure of. It is an outright stupidity for someone to invest in a man you are not sure of. You are not even married to him. An adult is different from a 5 year old 10 year old. It never occured to your memory that such an adult might have been married, or engaged with someone else or is seeing someone else before you.
Could the parents, siblings, relatives and friends lie to you at the same time?. When you are about to go into a relationship, you have to embark on a fight finding mission. When the task is completed, then you can make a choice. Probably, you are joking and in future, just look before you leap.

during omugwo, the person that comes to do the omugwo takes over MOST of the house hold chores and responsibilities.
cooking (for both husband and wife), cleaning, carrying the baby while the new mum rests, from my side, at night, the new mum actually sleeps while her mum or whoever is there for omugwo stays awake with the baby,

Pls there is a lot to it, every new mother looks forward to someone close to her to come for her omugwo.

@indie22, if someone comes to spend a month with u for holiday, its only a nigerian tradition that u buy that person something to go back home with not to talk of someone that came to labour for u for omugwo. i dont think its right to let the person go empty handed + women NEVER go for omugwo empty handed,
They go with all sorts of food stuffs.

BUT,
am not of the school of thot that u shld spend your 1 month salary on her gift, but at least show appreciation with a gift. its the tot behind that mtters not the gift itself
Good job.

@12large,
as useless as kanu is, he is still better than anything your generation can produce, then what name do u think will be suitable for u and your lineage.
if a useless person is better than u, it means a new dictionary has to come up with a new name for u and your ungodly generation.
u have allowed your frutrated life to take over u.
kanu as we speak have shaked the hands of almost all the important personalities of this life and that is because of what he does with the same two legs that have served u no good.
kanu is known by almost every nigerian not because of his height but because of soccer. kanu has played in great teams not because of bribe but because of his abilities. kanu has won relevant trophies in his carrier yet u call him over-rated.
it is a shame that nairaland has turned to be a plave for negative thinkers and mentally derailed embeciles like urself.
as long as u have this good for nothing frustrations as your guide, u will never go beyond where u are.

Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel has been ruled out of the World Cup amid fears over his recovery from knee surgery.
Mikel becomes the latest Chelsea player to suffer World Cup heartache with Michael Ballack and Michael Essien unavailable for Germany and Ghana and with Didier Drogba's tournament with Ivory Coast in severe doubt.
The 23-year-old missed the closing weeks of the domestic season as the Blues clinched a Premier League and FA Cup double after going under the knife to cure a knee complaint.
And he will not feature at this summer's showpiece in South Africa despite being named in the 23-man squad after informing his country that he did not want to risk his long-term recovery.
"We have dropped Mikel from the World Cup squad after he told the team he did not want to put his career at risk as his knee injury has yet to fully heal after a recent surgery," team official Emmanuel Attah revealed on Saturday morning.
Mikel is likely to be replaced by one of the seven players dropped from coach Lars Lagerback's squad at their training camp in England last Monday.

The Fulani are beautiful.

But only a pure Fulani with no Hausa blood.

The Fulanis I have seen were from other West African countries though. Only seen 1 Nigerian Fulani

But the Fulani in other countries are gorgeous.
They may be beautiful, but there are some ugly ones amogst them. While with the Igbo, it is virtually non-existent.
