Katsumotoooooooooooo
The chap does only copy and paste about Biafra. Lacks his own ideas and has insulted many nairalanders this year without the hammer hitting him.
Wrong choice.

Jarus:
I had been thinking in the last 5 days of who to nominate. But I jsut came back from one thread now and cannot but recognize Katsumoto's depth. I may disagree with him on so many things but he is someone that clearly knows his onions and you have to equip yourself before arguing with him. Being a student of First and Second Republics politics myself, he is one of the very few Nairalanders that are authorities on Nigeria's political history, never mind his sometimes less-than-objective interpretation of history.

Katsumoto, at last, gets my nominatiion.
The only time the chap rears his head is when he wants to play tribal politics exclusively on Biafran/Nigerian crisis. Nevertherless, his posts are always one sided.
He doesn't get banned despite all the insults he dishes out to Fstranger and others who opposes his views. Beaf would have been banned several times with those same insults.
Beaf has been the number one poster in this section prior to April elections and post elections.
Onlytruth, has done better than all except beaf.
Others are Dede1, Eziachi, Chyz, Houvest, Obiagu1 and Sagamite.

In Igbo culture, the woman who delivered the new baby will be greeted with Nnoo and other different types of greetings. Ekele diri Chukwu (thanks be to God), Chukwu Emeka (God has done great), Chi di Ebere (God is merciful).
What other greetings do you know when welcoming a mother who has delivered a new baby?.

I choro i yo nri actually means do you want to swallow food (mostly akpu, gari, utara ji, utara ede and other swallows).
But now, it is commonly used as do you want to eat.
In Isinweke, i yo nri is i lo nri in central Igbo.
Y usually replaces L in Isinweke. E.g we say Uyo instead of ulo (house)
Some of our names in Isinweke goes as Ayozie instead of Alozie.

funny how our minds work so that is all it takes to demonstrate who is Igbo. one post from abagworo the sage ;Dcould have fooled me you really are not a bright guy and i suspect you are that Ngodigha character. you are wasting my time and have nothing stimulating to offer
You are the one wasting your own time. You have no business in Igbo affairs.
Am happily married to an Ikwerre lady. She is a proud Igbo so is her family.
Fact: Some Ikwerres do not see themselves as Igbo. But that is in the minority. Moreover, this denial is in decline since the new dispensation.

there is a very clear tradition about the founding of Canada Australia and the USA today they are Canadians Australians and Americans and NOT something else.
The Ikwerres have told Nigerians in VERY CLEAR terms that they want to be seen as Ikwerre and that is that.
They have chosen to have THEIR OWN translation of the Bible e.g. rejecting external impositions by irredentists
The issue is not one of Origin but status quo
Barack Obama is American NOT Kenyan
Abagworo's post shows that this people are Igbo.
@Aribisala, my wife and her Ikwerre family are proud Igbo people.
I have never for one day seen my wife as any other ethnic group other than Igbo.

We have a tradition in Ngwa that talks about the founding of Ikwere. Until now I don't know the details regarding it, as it was only mentioned to me, in passing, but I will definitely dig into it.
All the documents about Ikwerre origin links 60% of Ikwerres come from Ngwaland. Another 30% from other parts of Igboland and another 10% outside Igboland.

Yes Ify, there are so many songs that accompany the birth of a child in Igbo culture.
There is this one that goes like this:
Onye ihe oma di mma, bia kwe anyi iloola, iloola, iloola.
After that they will say: Unu muru nwa gi--WHAT IS THE GENDER OF THE BABY.
Eji gini azu ya eeeh!?---What is going to be used for the feeding of the baby.
They the host will respond: Ihe eriwere enye nwa eeh!. (What ever we are eating, so as the child).

CultureRe: Arrival Of A New Baby Amongst Ndigbo. by AndreUweh(op): 8:26pm On Dec 04, 2011
When a child is born in Igbo culture, most women who went there would rub nzu (white powder on their necks as a mark of purity of heart, goodwill and welcome to the new baby. This practice is still in place in Isinweke.
There is no doubt that there are varieties of songs depending on the part of Igboland. The fact remains, however, that Ndigbo welcome a new baby into the world with a joyous song.
CultureRe: Arrival Of A New Baby Amongst Ndigbo. by AndreUweh(op): 8:19pm On Dec 04, 2011
Another popular song to greet the arrival of a baby in IGBOLAND
Onye muru nwa na ebe akwa,
Chioma (depends) muru nwa na ebe akwa.
Tewe uzuza, tewe oso,
Ka umu mmadu racha ya.
In translation: Who delivered the baby that is crying,
Chioma delivered the baby that is crying,
Prepare uzuza and pepper soup,
for people to enjoy.
Idiomatically, the song is referring to the delicious uzuza and other soups that will be prepared for the woman who newly gave birth to a baby.
CultureRe: Arrival Of A New Baby Amongst Ndigbo. by AndreUweh(op): 8:09pm On Dec 04, 2011
In my part of Igboland, there are so many songs that accompany the birth of a new baby e.g
Erimeri na adi mma erimerie x2,
Onwu egbule nwayi n'afo ime ka omuora anyi nwa,
tara okporo, nuru mmii ngwo.
In translation, merrymaking is good,
let death not claim pregnant women, so that they can deliver babies,
So that we can eat and drink.
How about your part of Igboland or in Igboland generally.
CultureArrival Of A New Baby Amongst Ndigbo. by AndreUweh(op): 8:04pm On Dec 04, 2011
In Igbo culture east and west of the Niger, Rivers state and other places, the arrival of a new baby is always greeted with happiness. There is always a joyous welcome song. As soon as the news of a safe delivery of a baby is broken, the women around would assemble and start singing songs of joy and happiness.
UmuIgbo, let us discuss about arrival of new babies in Igbo culture.

Who cares? You can bury him under your bed if you like or burn and scatter his ashes all over your village, that's your damn problem.

You are here talking as if burring somebody in iboland is something special. Shebi Zik was berried in iboland? What happen to his grave-site?

You loud mouths have him sleeping with rubbish, lizards and reptiles. All you people do is run your mouth, but you never put your your money where your loud mouth is. We all know whats going to happen few months from now, SEE ZIK.

How do you even suggest bestowing a national honor on some rebel who not only never believed in Nigeria to start with, he led millions to their death to prove that point. Are you people mad or insane?

The man should have faced the firing squad for what he did like they do in a lot of sane and lawful countries, he was allowed back because Nigeria is a fcukeecdd up country.
The above imbecilic post is not necessary at all. Ojukwu has fallen asleep and it doesn't matter if the senate rejects a state burial for him or not. Ojukwu doesn't lack those that will bury him. The 3 local councils in Nnewi is capable, Anambra is capable as well as the East. It is none of your business. Scram.

kobojonkie:
Why should he get a state burial? shocked

He never believed in Nigeria and even in death he wanted to visit countries that supported his Biafra cause.

I dont have any thing personal against him but really he should get a local burial in his Igbo land.

State burials are for Statesmen who have lived and fought for peace and stability of the State.

Next please
No point vomiting crap here. Did Ojukwu's family request state burial for Chukwuemeka?. Without you saying it, Ojukwu will be buried in Igboland and Nnewi. As you know Igboland very well, you ought to know that Ndigbo do not bury their people outside their ancestral homes. It is not going to be like Abiola, originally from Abeokuta but was buried in Lagos. Do you not know this all along?.

If they didnt revenge Murtala death by Dimka doesnt mean someone wouldnt avenge another leaders death

Sardauna Bello is the Premier of the North the Political and Spiritual leader

I guess some people are not really that smart to start with
Ironsi did nothing deserving death yet they killed him. They could have killed any other person that took over from Balewa. They were not interested in governance but just to kill. Are you surprised that two days after they killed Ironsi, Nigeria had no head of state.
Have they stopped killing since then?. Today it is Plateau state, Yobe, Bauchi, Borno. Even last April, they killed innocent corp members mostly from Osun state serving in the north.
The only thing they understand is fight and kill. They even fight in far away land such as Lagos against the Yorubas. What a wasted race.
