Still at over 100m and 2600 tons it will Handel the sea conditions better than the strike craft. They will be great for anti piracy, poaching and smuggling. My weapons list is a 76mm, 35mm DPG, 2 20mm supper Rouge, 4 12.7mm supper Rouge and 16 Umkhonto missliels. As the heaviest option light weight would be 20mm supper Rouge 4 12.7mm Rouge. |

frumentius: She has 2 pistols. Surely 1 pistol + Roni contraption would be enough. Then use the thigh strap for extra mags. As it is, her superfluous load-out is unprofessional and conveys the message that our military police don't know what they're doing! I all was thought the pistol was in the event the primary was lost, damaged, Jamed or when in tight areas. So it not a issue for me. |

kikuyu1: The 20 m GA-1 def ballistically outperforms the Ma Deuce. Imo its an intermediate round between the .5 BMG and 30 mm. Performance wise its actually not far from the 14.5 mm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/14.5%C3%97114mm
Also the Inkunzi strike has only half the RoF of the BMG and/or KPV 14.5 mm. RoF is lower but one must not discount the added effect of the HEI explosive. A 14.5mm could go through a armored wind screen but the 20mm HEI would explode and kill, wound or blind the driver and from t seat passenger of say a MRAP. And firing at long ranges where accuracy is a issue a 2Omm HEI is still deadly since it does not need to hit. In short the InKunzi provides the range and accuracy of a Heavy Machine gun with the explosive power of a grenade launcher all while weighing less. But yeah I see the GA1 as a better 12.7mm replacement for vehicles where the Inkunzi is better for a replacement for the motorized and airborne forces 12.7 all so the I Kunzi would be great door gun for orxy and A109s, could see it used on navy small boats and River patrol boats. So yeah I see both options being used. I mean at 13kg the Inkunzi could be mounted on a 7.62mm gun mounting. Of course the other thing g is one should never discount the RoF of say the Ss77. |

However without Chad, Cameroon and others they won't be able to do much in projecting power if they have to depend on their overseas territory in Africa. I call them the French puppet states. |

MikeCZA: Any man who mentions the Mi -17 as a potential replacement of the Oryx should be charged with blasp..hemy, executed and his ashes fed to pigs.
The H225M should replace the Oryx in dribs and drabs while a local version is developed based on the H225M with feedback from the air force operating the aircraft.
Maybe a V-280 Valor type aircraft in the future. Denel all ready has experience with the mi17, it carries a lot and with the right modification would be perfect. O ly issue is that the modification to both African proof and westernize the systems and logistics would cost a lot. Personally I say go proper let's get the merlin. |

Nok234: To be frank, I don't see an MRAP in service right know that can compete. It is a very good MRAP I heard it is STANAG 4 ... It is home made so very cheap for us that's means large number can be ordered .. The only thing I am consern about is mobility we have only pictures but maybe I am wrong ...
All MRAPs today has two variant one is 4x4 and a 6x6 because MRAPs usually doesnt have good mobility. On soft ground 6x6 will be better assuming the vehicles are of similar ilk, as the weight is spread out over a larger area. Also given the extra drive wheels there is more traction in slippery condition, and the rick of becoming cross axled is reduced, as you have to cross 3 axles instead of 2.
The 4x4 and 6x6 are both adequate for the military not just one. Mraps are getting really heavy that's why they need 6x6 drive. They 20 tons plus these days not 10 tons. |

SSBN: They can't hand them over to Chad or Cameroon. Those countries lack the expertise and infrastructure to manage 4th Gen aircrafts. Romanians and Belarussians fly Chads fleet of MiG-29's And France won't help keeping them flying. Think about that mean France can control there air force. Don't do what France says no more air force |

Henry240: Yes, i agree that things could be done better, but this is an ambush, didn't US special forces (Green Berets) recently suffer an ambush in Niger republic?
Some of these things are unavoidable, however it is not frequent. I believe this is the second incident of an ambush in the combat zone in the last 7 months.
The other was the attack on the UN convoy.
It is not possible to police that entire area, we would need to deploy 200k men within that region to effectively police it. We currently have 20k - 25k in the entire NE area of operations. The USA army and Niger forces where not wiped out and reinforced. But you are correct. Ambushes by there nature are built to wipe out the defenders fast. |

IbnSultaan: Nigeria is no longer an active support base what is left for the group is hardcore members and fighter who conceive civs across the border. I agree completely peace involve socioeconomic strategy and most importantly stop flow of men and wen across the sahel Being g reduced to small Cadre of hard core die hard does not weaken them. Sure they can no longer hold massive tracts of land but they still have the means to strike out and do harm. The only real way to wipe them out is to create a safe area security wise to deal with the root causes of there power. Education, economy and perversion religion. |

True numbers of dead in Cuba vs RSA war will never be known, cold war era is full of secrets, lies, and half truths. I think Cuba won the war by frustrating RSA to call for final truce treaty deal. south Africa actually got all it's demands met all and Angola is capitalist not Communist |
