Is Gingerbread not stale?

I clearly said the latest version of Gingerbread and not the latest version of Android, thus not sure how the latest version of something can be stale.

But if you are referring to ICS 4.0 I'm not sure that even 10% of activated Android mobile phones use it and even half the Android phones that came out this year still came out on Gingerbread, so it and Froyo are still the predominant versions of Android for mobile phone devices.

BTW this phone only came out in the latter part of 2011 itself.
