iamoyindamola:MCFC also beat Arsenal in Good ebening's first season. 2-0 |
melodyogonna:Once any man resorts to that, just know he knows his argument lacks substance. |
Illimitable:LOOOOOL. Got nabbed again for not catching the sarcasm. Responded with insults and avoided the substance. Everyone with a working brain can see that Sancho wanted Pep to include a fixed number of games he would play before signing. A dolt can see that if Sancho made up his mind, he would not have collected the contract to deliberate with his advisers. A scallywag can see that the major issue being debated was that Sancho was promoted - which you have now sneakily admitted to, yet you want to hide it under worthless verbiage that sounds like "he had made up his mind before he was promoted". Congrats, Mr. Intelligent. ![]() |
GloryIsaac:You said people accused you of making stuff up. That is what I was responding to. I was showing you what I meant when I told you you made stuff up. Concerning what Pep said, Fabrizio is wording it differently (you should watch the interview). They asked him if MCFC would NOW try to get Messi. He said no, that they were convinced Leo will stay at Barca and that they had competed to get Grealish, gave him the number 10 because they were incredibly convinced in him, so that Messi is not in their plans NOW. What I am trying to say is, Pep brought Grealish up because of the jersey number - not because Grealish replaced Messi, based on how he responded to the question. PS: Grealish was surprised they gave him the number. He even said he would not have asked for it. |
Illimitable:Mr. Intelligent who does not understand sarcasm. You did not see how asinine I presented your deflections to be. That a player was not promoted - according to you - yet he was offered what promoted players get offered which is an improved contract. You did not see that only promoted players get invited to the first team's tour. You did not see that the other players, which according to you could not have been promoted, played games for the first team. But somehow, you ignore all these hard facts to cough out this errant nonsense above. Nobody is buying all these weak deflections. In a bid to deflect again, you harped on Tosin not knowing you are proving my point even more which is that a player is promoted to the first team, when he is enlisted as such not necessarily because he played a game. Which is what I pointed out to you when you tried to claim those 5 United youngsters had become first team players. I showed you that a coach could decide to use a player from the youth team in a game. It means nothing. It is considered first team, when the player is registered with the first team, tours with the team and becomes available for selection to the team. All these Brahim, Sancho and Foden qualified for but Sancho knew he was not going to get the regular time he wanted - he said so and all the evidence points to it. I don't need to call you names, the evidence is doing so.

BlueAngel444:Those extras are add-ons like if he wins ballon d'or, UCL, PFA player etc. His base salary is 200 K /week |
BlueAngel444:I think they mean FC Barcelona will not get a fee. The other fees will go directly to Messi and his agent (his Dad). |
GloryIsaac:You said underperforming players like Sterling were being moved - made up. The main player who asked to leave was B. Silva. You said the Kane could be ditched to acquire Messi, plausible, but you added that Levy wanted 150 M for Kane and I said nobody knew that - people had been bandying figures but what was officially claimed was that Levy did not want to sell to a fellow EPL team. Besides, signing Grealish is not what ruled MCFC out from signing Messi (although the number 10 would have been key) - it is the Harry Kane potential signing, from the manager's body language, that ruled signing Messi out. Same reason Kane rushed to post a speech today (I am sure he will be relaxed again). |

BlueAngel444:Where did you see this one? |
Illimitable:You always make me laugh. Here is your churlish style of arguing. 1. Insult 2. Strawman 3. Insult again 4. Deflect. With you, the major point will never be responded to. As soon as you are trapped, 5. you will bring up another irrelevant point that nobody was talking about and then, use it to throw more abusive words. 6. Pat yourself in the back. Again, I ask, if a prodigious talent means the player must be given a start, why did Ronaldo De Lima not start or play at all under Carlos Alberto in 1994. I selected said player because that is a player you love. You could not answer the question, you called it a false equivalency yet in the very same breath brought up what Moyes did with Rooney - when MCFC is being discussed. ![]() Pep failed to do this and the player wanted out. It’s as simple as that. You have travelled thousands of miles to defend Pep in this but your blockhead refused to ask the $64K question: why would Sancho want to leave a set up as brilliant as City. They have the best school in Europe. He had already had training sessions with David Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, etc.I wonder how the intelligent United fans always let you get off with this weak strawman style argument. Nobody is arguing why Sancho left. We have his own testimony - he wanted regular playing time and he knew it was unlikely considering the pecking order. But here you are, presenting a poser as though this question was not already answered pages back and then asking it like it was a bone of contention. Yet, you are still deflecting from the main issue - why was he offered a new contract? why was he invited like Brahim and Foden? If Pep was not going to use him in the first team that season, why did the other 2 players that were invited like Sancho, feature that very season? ![]() There was no reason for him to leave if he hadn’t felt betrayed to leave. However, you are too useless upstairs to even give this a logical thought. Your tonsils are permanently jammed in Pep’s bütt, it would take 5 Fire Departments to rescue you."there was no reason for him to leave, if he hadn't felt betrayed". When we asked you to present where this was said or alluded to, you replied with insults. Without promises, there wouldn’t be expectations. Without expectations, there wouldn’t be a feeling of betrayal.Present where this was alluded to or implied. LOL. Sancho left because what was said didn’t match what was happening.Present where Sancho said this or where it was implied. Is it hard? All we know is, Pep came in 2016/17, promoted 3 youth players at the end of that season (after watching them for a season), offered first team contracts and invited them to join the first team tour. 2 of those players who stayed on played that season - with the first team. The evidence shows Sancho would have played. The evidence also shows Sancho would not have had as much playing time with the first team as he did with Dortmund - which is the only citable reason as to why he left. Sancho left because the manager didn’t promote him. Pep had trouble in his debut season and he was scared to play youth players even in dead rubber games. And for every Man City loss in 2016/17, Pep never spoke about giving the academy boys a chance, he always opined he would look into the market to get replacements.Yet Tosin Adarabioyo played in Pep's very first season for the first team. ![]() Sancho wasn’t ready for that long game or hoping things might turn around. He dumped Pep because Pep was too scared to play him. Sancho wasn’t promoted(your original lie) so I don’t know why you are still here saving face. You are a pathological liar. We have asked you to provide one link where Sancho was promoted, the only article you could find was “set to be promoted”.Sancho was not promoted - but he was offered a promoted contract. Sancho was not promoted - but he was invited to the first team's pre-season tour in the USA when other youth team players were to be in the UK. Your entire argument as to what makes me wrong is that Sancho did not feature in the EPL - even when he left before the EPL started. ![]() If you aren’t lying about witnessing Sancho’s promotion at Man City campus, you are lying about “some of you” reading an Athletic article you are incapable of accessing.LOL. People who can read will see the fine print.

Catfishing:Link to what? |
Catfishing:I have nothing to gain. I only reported what I read. You should try it sometimes. |
BlueAngel444:Less likely. https://twitter.com/joeavfc1/status/1423359731696128004?s=20 |
BlueAngel444:That is not what I read online, In actual fact, that is why MCFC till today have a bad relationship with Napoli and refused to pay any more for Koulibaly. They had agreed on 50 M I think and Jorginho had even agreed terms, then Sarri wanted the player in Chelsea so Napoli raised it to 55 M and asked MCFC to match it which they refused to do. |
Havertz10:I am not arguing that Jack is worth 100 M. But Villa did not want to sell him at all. They have rich owners and would not have sold him for 100 M if that clause was not included. That said, any manager can make a mistake but I will have to believe Guardiola knows more than us both. To me, Grealish is a technically brilliant player. Watch his videos for his decision-making. He is very KdBesque. |
Havertz10:MCFC walked away from paying big money for Jorginho, Maguire, Koulibaly etc. They probably went all in now because FFP was relaxed this season. |
timbros:Thank God for people like you. It is always relieving to find people who can actually research. |
BlueAngel444:Have you Googled it? People forget Jack recently signed a contract with Aston Villa for big money but unlike Kane (whose brother is his agent and a not too smart one at that) Grealish's agent included a release clause in his contract. Apparently, MCFC knew about this and triggered it. Villa only begged them to hush it and Jack had to comply so that other clubs will not fleece Villa when they try to buy players to replace him. |
Havertz10:I read that City went all in because the manager is mesmerized by Grealish. They said KdB was highly recommending him (even now liking all his recent posts since signing with MCFC) and that Guardiola was asking some people who work at Villa questions about Jack during golf. Things they say he never does. |
BlueAngel444:Atletico Madrid. Yes RELEASE CLAUSE for Jack Grealish. Look it up. |
Messi will re-sign with Barcelona. Tebas will cave and give Barca what they want for the sake of ratings. Without Messi, La Liga will lose viewership and investors and sponsors will ask for their money back. |
Havertz10:Grealish's release clause was 100 M. So MCFC just triggered it. It is the same way PSG acquired Neymar for 220 M. Not that Neymar is more valuable than CR7 but his buyout clause - which is the only way a player can leave his parent club without their consent - was activated. If City tried to buy Grealish with 1 or 2 years left in his contract, there would have been negotiations and he would have been sold for a lesser value. As for Sterling's position, I checked some MCFC fan threads and watched videos online - Bernardo Silva had wanted to leave the club since before last season and this season he wants to move to Spain. Pep begged him to stay on last season with a promise that he would be allowed to move in this one. Grealish is viewed as a replacement for KdB. When MCFC paid 56 M for KdB in 2015/16, many including Paul Merson thought it was a colossal waste. Time has proven him very wrong. |
Illimitable:I know you think you can type a load of gibberish and hope some modicum of sense will be lodged in the heap. I am here to announce to you that you are still loading up on the bullocks. Is Guardiola, Moyes? Do Manchester City and Everton have the same mandate? Do players in those teams have the same objective? What errant nonsense is this? And to think that you were just talking about false equivalencies. Shut up your filthy mouth and stop deflecting. You lied pathologically that you have read the article I posted. I gave you 120 minutes to show me what you read by posting the paragraph that was immediately after the excerpt I posted. You are too dirt poor to take on the challenge and your best rebuttal was that I respond with insults.Another worthless and meaningless deflection. Where is the evidence for your claim? I will try again: Sancho didn’t want empty promises like the season before. He didn’t want to spend the next year waiting for the possibility of a 2 minute appearance from the bench in a dead rubber game. Can you prove where anybody made Sancho promises in 2016/17? Sancho finessed his exit because there wasn’t a clear pathway to the first team and he wasn’t going to sit around and pick his nose in the hope of being groomed as a long-term replacement for Leroy Sane who was only 21 years of age back then.Let me get this straight, so Sancho left because he felt he would not get regular playing time in the first team and not that the manager did not promote him, Brahim and Foden to the first team? So you are slyly conceding to what I have been saying all the while even though you are trying to sneak in the phrase "clear pathway". Whose pathway is clear? How would you know for e.g that AWB is going to be a regular in the first team this season? By the way, stop attaching that screen shot as your evidence. I actually feel ashamed for you. Do you know what the idiom "playing the long game" means? |
Illimitable:Look at who is talking about false equivalencies. Are all young talents the same? Are all clubs the same? Are all managers the same? Do all clubs have the same set of players? So why ask me a daft question about what David Moyes did in Everton FC with Rooney? The same athletic article you are too poor to subscribe to? “Some of us have read every article…….” - who are the us? This simpleton is actually trying to fit himself into the elite class. As soon as you are cornered you respond with insults or you try to deflect from the argument. Either ways, this attempt above is pisspoor. Be creative. We are waiting for you to present where the article posited that Jadon was never given a chance or whatever nonsense you typed. |
Illimitable:I don't know if this is a joke but you come off as unresearched, out of your depth and whimsical. So Carlos Alberto Parreira should have started Ronaldo de Lima in 1994 world cup because he was "already killing his classmates and professionals on the football pitch?" |
Illimitable:You think you are sly but you are just making a fool of yourself if we are being honest. Your question presupposes that any player was always as good as they eventually became - which is daft. Idiocy flows in your varicose veins. If you can point to any part of the athletic article titled "A prodigy in a hurry: the rapid rise of Jadon Sancho, Manchester United’s £73m man" that even remotely suggested the highlighted please present it. I have told you, avoid certain people when trying these your futile games. Some of us have read every article you want to present. |
Illimitable:LOL. Your story is completely false, man. Pep just came in 2016/17 - he had to watch and observe the youth team to know which players were ready. He identified 3 of them and invited them to join the first team tour July 2017. Jadon gave a gentleman's agreement that he will sign it but after talking to his handlers, decided against it because he felt his competitors in City would stagnate his growth - he wanted regular first team appearances. Emphasis on regular. That is why he refused to sign the contract and Pep told him not to travel to the USA in that case. Jadon then signed with Dortmund - when the first team were in the USA. |
Illimitable:LOL. You do know 16/17 was Pep's first season in City, right? ![]() |
Havertz10:Where are people getting this thing from? |
Havertz10: ![]() |
timbros:He does. He calls Messi the best player. |
