Of those 3, only 2 were good enough to trouble Kasper. Chillwell header and the Mount shot. If you saw the quote from Tieleman on this thread, you will notice he said to hit it top corner. Top corner is the most difficult angle for any keeper world over. I guarantee you that a similar goal will be scored against Mendy very soon. They will blame everybody else but Mendy, you just watch it. We were here when Kepa was also blamed for the goal against Arsenal. He would have been blamed had he kept the lines against Westbrom. There is no objectivity to it. If a shot is less likely to hit its target, does it not mean that if it hit its target it will be more than likely to beat the keeper?

Not just the team. The injuries included. Oubre, Wiseman joined the injury list and GSW played an 8-man rotation. This G-league team were 1-8 when SC did not play and 37-26 with him. This was the SC that was supposed to get exposed or the one that CP3 had more impact than.

We did it. Bad start to the 4th Q but SC came through on what was a somewhat poor shooting night. He was getting clawed in his drives but all the same we would not have done this without him. Big game from Draymond Green and Wiggins. Good game from everyone else. We most probably won't beat the LAL if we faced but at least, it was a fun season. With Klay back we will be dangerous.

To be sincere, after watching this with an open mind again, A Mendy would have tipped that ball at least to the bar(underside) or parry it away. Forget about the ball too extreme, kepa also was positionally suspect unlike Mendy who was king of positioning. 96% chance Mendy will save that

They will qualify through the league. I am pretty sure they will pick up 4 points from the 2 games left. As for the UCL final, anything can happen but I never thought Chelsea were good enough to beat City at full strength.

You guys played to beat them centrally but Rodgers was prepared for it. If you noticed, your wing backs were not putting in any crosses even when they got to the wings. Tuchel felt that Leicester were weaker in the middle and wanted to exploit it. It simply did not work. Towards the end of the game he tried to change things but if you noticed, Brendan just put more players in the centre.

Mendy not as quick as Kepa does not mean Mendy is slow. It just means Kepa is quicker. Mendy commands crosses/corners better, is a better shot stopper and better at improvising but he does not have Kepa's passing range, Kepa is slightly quicker and Kepa is a better sweeper keeper than him.

Minute 6:22. Watch it again and again. Watch when the shot leaves Tieleman's foot then from that position, pause it as that is the point the keeper should dive. Then see if Mendy's arms will be 15 inches above Kepa's at that time to save the shot. It is easy to pause a shot when it is just over Kepa's arms without considering when he reacted to the shot. Meanwhile, people with lower center of gravity will dive quicker than taller people.

If the taller keeper was quick to react, possibly, yes. But I guarantee you, having watched that shot like 7 times now, Mendy will not keep it out because he is naturally not as quick as Kepa.

I did not tell you Kasper's save was more difficult. I said his reflex was BETTER needed there. But the position of the ball was to his advantage. In Kepa's case the position of the ball was to every keeper's disadvantage.

We did not do enough to score with 3 shorts on target drawing brilliant saves from their GK but Leicester did enough to score with one shot on target.

The reason we lost was simply because Schmeichel was up to the task while ours was found wanting when we needed him the most


Kepa in goal and Chilwell scores that header and we won't hear the end of how it would it was a fantastic header and would have beaten any keeper.

You are sounding like I said Leicester deserved to win. I am simply showing you that you are blaming the wrong person. Drawing 3 saves from Kasper does not mean those were high quality chances that anyone would have scored. If Kasper saved them, good for him. LOL. Watch the replay of that Goal. Kepa was perfectly positioned. PERFECTLY. The ball was just the right pace, height and speed. It would have beat any keeper. You forget that CFC had turned the ball over and your Thiago Silva was putting hand behind his back and dodging the shot as if he was in the penalty box. Find another excuse mister man. You did not win because you did not do enough to score. If you led 2-0 before the 63rd minute, would you have lost?

Positioning and reflex are part of keeping. I guarantee you, that shot will already be in the net before Mendy can think about diving. Your analysis is simply emotional.
