champredd: It is better to follow local reports in Nigeria than follow international reports like BBC and CNN. During the plane crash that happens on the same day that Stella OBJ passed on the CNN was reporting that OBJ himself was coordinating the rescue operation. Well it was discovered later that it was no possible considering that the plane crash site was only found hours later. It was also reported locally that the crash site had been found at a totally different location and that half the people on board had been rescued! |

@ topic The direct answer to ur question is 'because they own it'! May i also add that we pray the likes of u never climb to any meaningful position in Nigeria as u obviously have no value to add. An advice to u, 'take a minute and listen to urself.' Y dont u go and live in Ogoni land and lets see if ur opinion remains the same. |

Salvage: I think we should annoint someone here who is good at writting and let him convey our fillings in writing and send it to newspaper houses as well as government houses both federal and state. @ All I think it's a good idea to send a petition to the appropriate bodies. Maybe an internet based one that we can all sign and then possibly forward it to the major newspapers as well. I am totally up for it. Anyone else? |

This is the craziest thing i have heard in recent times! an absolute no brainer and i hope it will be met with total resistance. what the hell do these clowns take us for? @debosky I see no point at all in ur argument it is simply annoying. makes no sense. @donzman You are very correct Salvage: I don't know who Fashola's advisers are but he has started on a very sour note. This is nonsense and uncalled for. Is this how he wants to payback the people that voted massively for him, in the face of a serious PDP threat? What a shame. And has anyone seen how the area boys and fare collectors , have almost doubled on the streets of Lagos? I think we should start forming a pressure group to pressurise the Federal government to look into this Lagos issues. We are Nigerians and no one should treat us like an extension of his backyard I totally agree with u o! and i am game (for the pressure group) enough of this nonsense. |

gr8t: Obasanjo started is the initiator of peace in West Africa where the whole world would have condemn to genocide. And yet he ordered the killing of civillians in ODI. How about applying the same tactics or initiative in his own backyard. Do u realise that obasanjo left nigeria practically in a state of emergency during one of the labour demonstration/riot (sit at home) and went on a peace mission to sao tome and pricipe. how hypocritic! |

watchung: Are you kidding me! how many people can afford N130 a day for food. Please lets stop being disingenous here even the regular folk on the street in Nigeria lives on more than a $1 a day.
@adconline I don't need empirical evidence I use common sense. Yes there are poor people in Nigeria but to tell me that 50+% of the population is living on LESS THAN A DOLLAR a day is rubbish. Well u show me the empirical evidence and how those stats that claim this were deduced.
@Omoge very few people in Nigeria can afford to eat bread, eggs, tea? How much be loaf of bread sef? In some cases more than the so called $1. Bread is a regular on Nigerian tables FYI.
Well I still think that LESS THAN A DOLLAR A DAY stats are flawed and someone needs to convince me. i believe the stats are representative of legitimate earnings not hustling! @babasin i feel u 100% |
