Omo Ibadan, kini show?

Ibadan, Oyo state happens to be one of my favorite cities in Nigeria and it disturbs me mentally or emotionally to see what is going on in Ibadan today and to know that there will never be peace in this city for at least the next 4 years.

It is very sad; because things did not have to go down this way. OBJ had opportunities and power to resolve this calamity by permanently disabling Adedibu and also by sending Akala back to school for his secondary school certificate.

But as usual, OBJ has his ridiculous and vindictive ways. He wanted to teach some folks some lesson, therefore he ignored the devils and allowed my favorite city to continue to crumble into a war zone .

It doesn't look pleasant out there at-all and it extremely disheartening to know that this mess will last for many many years to come.
I truly feel that OBJ has sold the prosperity and peace of Ibadan people at a cheap price to his personal agenda.

When i say we are different, we too sabi? if you know what i mean. Even in London you know how things are we stand out and we intimidate other Africans somehow. Lets just keep our fingers crossed for the best. My own crusade is for us all to join hands in anyway we can to bring our country back. We should stop thinking that some leader will help us.But if we decide to fight lets just be cautious . Thanks.

anybody asking people to go out and demonstrate on May 29the is not realistic. Do you mean the govt will stop the ceremony because of that? No one is saying if people feel aggrieved they should not voice it, but the usual fear is that area boys, bandaras and almajeris will take over such and unleash mayhem on even their fellow aggrieved Nigerians and my very "radically minded" Nigerians who think they are the worst hit by the last elections malpractices will want any responsible govt to fold its arms and allow law and order to break down completely. Like @haywhy rightly said we all have a hand in whatever is wrong with that country today. Can anybody convince me that there were no malpracices in those states won by the opposition parties? The problem is that most vociferous critics and analysts are not attacking the election because of altruism, most of you are bloody supporters of the two most unlikely presidents that "will never be"; A tiku (we don die) and that rascally 419 Orjie who does not even have respect for Igbo elders not to talk of a Ngbatingbati man.

Our mentality is such that we must hear from outside and I appreciate your position that we must say our own news. But our people love to condem our own people.

I had a discussion in Ghana with a black American and immediately I had a clear mentality of how the Negroid thinks of his own people. It is good propaganda news to people that want to invest in Nigeria because it gives them bargaining power to let you feel that your country is not worth investing in.

It is "good news" to the NIGERIAN also because we can see the problem and solve it.

We need to have our own news media that can OBJECTIVE CRITICIZE OUR OWN CITIES AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL HEAR ACT.

I tell you, in Nigeria, demonstrate peacefully and more will lose their lives, police, army will shoot you, but if you are well armed and go for violence, Nigerian Government will tell you keeping quiet does not mean weak. How many Niger Delta Militants have lost their lives since their violent struggle for equity? Least number. The story would have been different if they had engaged on peaceful demonstration. Nigerian government always show power if you are not well armed. So, I have come to realize that the only language Nigerian government understands is arm struggle.
