Politics › Re: Some Places With Stable Electricity In Nigeria - AfricaFactsZone by Angelfrost(m): 7:09pm On Feb 28, 2024
Every major city across Nigeria should be having stable power supply, under normal circumstances.

That's the only way the economy of each state and the nation as a whole can grow via industrialization.

We can't be serious about improving local production and job creation without steady power supply in every state.

You are right bro. I earn close to that amount and sometimes more because I work online which pays bi-monthly and on-site which pays monthly. Mehn right now I am dead broke. Naira no get value at all.
You and Op need to tailor your expenses and living standards to the current economic realities.

200k gone in less than a month by an individual points towards ostentatious living.

nothing wrong in traveling out, but seeing it as Eldorado is what I detaste. A lizard in Nigeria can not be a lion in Canada. Anyway, to a drowning man any straw could mean a life saver.
I totally agree with you... Those overhyping the diaspora and downgrading their country of birth are the biggest problems. They started this nonsense.

Still, the ones trying so hard to discourage others from coming over while they refuse to leave the abroad are no better.

Both groups irritate me greatly.

Whether you relocate or stay back, just shut the fvck up and live your life however it pleases you.

Every company and individual must find ways to cut expenses and ride out this economic reform storm.

You either sink or swim! Harsh reality.

These times are not for the faint-hearted or wasteful spenders.

Terrorists is who you are calling vandals.
They will rather call them any name than Terrorists...!

The word "Terrorist" seems to be a very prohibitive word to these people in power.

Same people who ironically wasted no time in branding and designating IPOB as Terrorists.
Politics › Re: Vandals Bomb Transmission Line In Abuja, Cut Supply By 250MW by Angelfrost(m): 12:37pm On Feb 28, 2024
So, protecting and guarding sensitive infrastructure like Transmission lines is now Rocket Science??!

How is this country said to be the main support group of ECOMOG??! A country that can barely secure itself!

It's a SHAME!!!

oga Nigerians are crooks, hire them and they will loot and liquidet your company especially yorubas
All Nigerians??! I have worked with a lot of Nigerian professionals across sectors and they delivered magnificently.

Why make such sweeping generalizations?!!

Besides, the ones who are dubious do so because they are not well monitored or supervised.

Well, let those who have no faith in their countrymen go ahead and hire expatriates... They haven't banned them from doing so.

Just be prepared to do it at a higher cost.

i pity these country, anyway a typical yorubas is afraid of competition, even America hire foreigners, Google is headed by an Indian.
You are comparing apples and oranges, I'm afraid.

A country struggling economically shouldn't be spending needlessly to outsource jobs (and even pay in foreign currency) which can be handled by professionals within it.

The foreigners heading top places abroad didn't start heading them as expatriates (Maybe you're the one who needs to do better research). cool

Please, what has this got to do with Tinubu now??!

When Warri went up in flames many years ago, I didn't see anyone calling out Obasanjo.

The Governor should be able to sort out such communal differences... That's what he was elected for.

You people should quit permitting your governors to hide and corruptly fly under the radar while pushing every blame on Mr. President.

For starters, all states have been receiving increased monthly allocations since last year... Apart from Lagos, what do other states have to show for it??!
Politics › Re: Akwa Ibom Insecurity: Ibeno Under Siege As Eket, Esit Eket Strike by Angelfrost(m): 9:59am On Feb 28, 2024
What I find funny yet befuddling is how communities in the South can brace up and arm themselves to fight neighboring communities but can never mobilize to put an end to external security threats like herdsmen, bandits, and terrorists.

Communities in Benue, Enugu, Ebonyi, etc, will cry and wail over attacks by Herdsmen, and how helpless they are... Yet, they will quickly arm themselves and go to war with their neighboring communities over small pieces of land.

Nor be Juju be that??!

Honestly, this man has not said ANYTHING! undecided

Every election year, you guys go all out to further divide the citizens... Then upon winning the elections, you start clamoring for unity.

Unity to you people means "support everything I do in the office but don't unite against me, especially during elections".

If citizens refuse to unite to elect good leaders, how can they unite to support the elected leaders and save their nation??!

Let's not be selective with the truth!

Yes... Jagaban is definitely working. He started poorly due to his haste in making economic policies, but he has been spot-on in key areas.

I commend his swift and tactical approach to working with Labor organizations too.

I pray he succeeds all around... God knows, Nigeria desperately needs great Leadership at this critical juncture.

As for Peter Obi... He is doing what every strong Opposition in Nigeria has done since 1999. Buhari and Tinubu did worse to Jonathan. cool

If this truly comes to fruition, then Jagaban has scored BIG in the history of the Presidency in this 3rd world country!

I will just counsel Nigerian professionals in all fields to elevate their experiences to international standards... Study to shew thyself approved.

That you are a pharmacist, engineer, or doctor working in Nigeria doesn't mean you refuse to upgrade your knowledge to global standards of practice.

What's the minimum wage per hour in Nigeria?

30k / 30days == 1k / day
1k / 8hrs == #125

The average worker's 1hour of work can't even buy one santana
At least, 1 Pound can buy you something of value over there...!

Typical Nigerian business pattern...!

They either reduce the quantity and quality while maintaining the old price... Or increase the price while maintaining the quantity (not necessarily quality).

Some go as far as diminishing quality and quantity while hiking prices... Vicks Blue sweet I bought last 2 weeks contained half sweet at twice the price, with diminished quality. undecided

You can't and shouldn't blame them... They have to make adjustments like these to keep their businesses afloat in this dying economy.

I'm still aghast at how Spaghetti went from 80 - 100 Naira a few years ago to the current 700 - 900 Naira... What are the poor eating these days??! cry
