Politics › Re: FACT CHECK: Did Tinubu Promise To Reduce Purchasing Power Of Nigerians? by Angelfrost(m): 9:48am On Jan 31, 2024
Okay... He never made such a statement or claim.

That said... Are Nigerians not paying more taxes while watching their purchasing power diminish massively due to inflation and devaluation of their beleaguered currency?!!

God help us.

This seems beyond the FG
Lol... Don't talk rubbish abeg. Get small shame.

Singapore, India, America (yes, America), etc were all in worse situations decades ago.

It took honest, patriotic, and sound leadership to galvanize the people and get their nations away from the brink of damnation.

They didn't sit down crying hopelessly up to Heaven like religious morons.

You citizens take sides with criminals and lowlifes all because they belong to your religion and ethnicity... You can't unite to elect sound leaders... Yet you want God to do for you what other nations do for themselves! SMH.

Lessons must be taught and learned by every Nigerian.

Let the Fittest survive.

Nigeria is a time bomb expected to explode anytime soon. our leaders are all confused lots. Oh Lord help us the masses
Trust me, God will do nothing!

He has done enough.

God gave all nations on Earth the same resources and abilities to increase regardless of their level of faith in Him.

I will never understand what more you Nigerians want God to do for you... To spoon-feed you with manna from Heaven?!!

Simple unite and save your nation from criminals, una say NO!

You will rather vote in people based on their religion, party affiliation, and ethnicity, then come months and years later begging God to save your nation!

Una nor dey shame?!!

Politics › Re: Abductors Demand N100 Million For Ekiti School Children, Teachers by Angelfrost(m):
The kidnappers clearly know these kids and their teachers can't pay such amount.

Meaning... They are actually demanding for a crowdfund from wealthy idiots like Pantami, or that the Ekiti government ransoms the victims themselves.

This is a whole new level of brazenness.

Femi a subset of anything is a part of that thing. Beans are a subset of food because beans are a type of food. Is that clear? I have also explained to you that ECOWAS is not a part of the AU because there is no relationship between the two. Why are you still fighting yourself needlessly? Rest.
You are right...!

I think Femi4 means members of Ecowas are by default members of AU.

Ergo, West African countries also are members of African Union, even though both organizations are independent of each other.

West Africans are first Africans.

Thanks for bringing Peter Obi into this topic.

Aside declaring religion war on a phone call with a Nigerian pastor, what would Peter Obi have done differently? since he would also be the chief security office of all Nigerian states.
That's not an intelligent question...! Totally irrelevant now.

The real pertinent question remains:

What is the Commander in chief of the armed forces and the direct head of security of the entire nation doing about this current situation?!!

Is he even in the country to begin with?!!

Does a man whose house and properties are under siege go on a vacation?!!

Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are irrelevant to this issue as they have no direct nor indirect influence on the Security architecture of this nation.

all those being affected by the insecurity
Those being affected by insecurity, right?!!

That means we now run a regional and decentralized system of government like America?!!

Even abroad, once states are overwhelmed by insecurity issues lasting more than 24 hours, the President overrides the state, and sends the military (National Guard).

As it stands in Nigeria, the military might get overrun soon.

You people don't understand the power of lawlessness and insecurity.

A country with little or no laws cannot have effective regulatory systems. Nigeria has many related problems oooo. Let's not act like this dollar thing is the only one. Me I don't even envy anyone that wants to be president.

My own point is, rather than youths to continue complaining, they can take advantage of the naira fall and look for ways (legit ways) to earn dollars.
You have said everything on my mind...!

That's why I don't for once believe most of these people fighting to become President have the slightest clue how to make this nation better.

They just want to mark attendance in Aso Rock.

Case in point, the 'French' man currently there.

This thing is difference of ideology, which is normal in politics all around the world.

Buhari is a conservative. He prefer slow growth in the form of defend the naira, while slowly encouraging local production and ending importation. The naira was stable but didn't we see the negative effects of this on importation?

Tinubu is a progressive. He prefers radical change for long-term benefits. He did not limit importation but allows naira to compete freely on international market. Local producers will gain but consumers of international products will continue to suffer. Unfortunately, most of us consume so much international products.

Any which way, it is a long ride and I hate to criticize anybody because I honestly don't have the answers to Nigeria problems. Most of yall don't. Una only sabi to complain. One thing I know is this: any smart person who earn some dollar, farm majority of his food, and reduce buying international products will live like a king right now.
You don't have a strong and effective price regulation or regulatory system in your country...!

Implication?!! Even prices of locally made goods are soaring through the roof.

The producers and sellers of these products are impacted by Dollar indirectly, and adjust their inflation effects by adding more than necessary to their prices... This coupled with the inherent greed and wickedness of an average Nigerian.

Haven't you noticed that the price of locally made rice is almost keeping pace with the Asian variety?!!
Politics › Re: Buhari Foresaw What Would Happen To The Naira And The Economy If He Devalued by Angelfrost(m): 1:58pm On Jan 30, 2024
Guy, Buhari was heavily subsidizing the bloody currency.

The clueless clown was propping it up with loans, hence making it look like it wasn't falling.

Why didn't he make efforts to diminish dependence on the Dollar?!! Why didn't he push policies that would diminish importations, and enhance consumption of locally made goods.

Why didn't he set examples by using hospitals here in Nigeria, and banning elected and appointed officials from accessing Dollars to travel abroad?!!

Buhari failed woefully!

Tinubu is merely drowning in the mess the Daura clown left behind.
