Evamann:
The confirmation of the massacre by the report is now more provoking. I think the youth should hit the streets again, this time around, Aso Rock and other government houses around the country must be invaded. I want to see Buhari and other governors scaling over fence like the oba of Lagos during 2020 'explosion' .

Oga relax... There's no hiding for the government at this point. There's enough suffering in the land already, we shouldn't make matters worse for ourselves by grounding activities. Na we go suffer am, not politicians.

Career / Re: I Need Your Candid Advise On Career Choice. by anochuko01(m): 6:12pm On Nov 16, 2021
You're in the right path. I'll advice that you get certain of what you do within the first four months of service so that you can use the remaining months to get ready for post nysc. I'll also advice that you read up on several skills and choose the most preferred. Do you also have a laptop? If Yes, you're halfway into starting your journey.

CHECK OUT THE FOLLOWING IN THAT PARTICULAR ORDER.

Business Analysis
Data Science
Business Intelligence
Power Platform Developer
UI/UX
Front End Development
Website Development
Graphics Design

If you can pick one of these within the next two months, you'll have enough time to prepare ahead. Six months of serious practice with projects to show would be enough to get you a starter role.

Opeyemiextra:
While we may want to lay all of the blame on women, men are also responsible. I expect that a responsible man would draw back a little from his married female friends. Most of my male friends, no matter how close we are, I consciously reduce my closeness with them once they are in a relationship or married. That's respect for yourself, your friends and their partners.

Let everyone take responsibility for their actions...

The oppressed peoples can liberate themselves only through struggle. This is a simple and clear truth confirmed by history.
The next uprising MUST be an ARMED uprising, targeted Assassinations and Annihilation of the elite and political class. Every single one of the oppressor's must die.

Then they'll get the license to massacre everyone. This isn't a good idea... No country has ever ended up well with this sort of move. Virtually all the countries who partook in the Arab spring are still somewhat unstable and worse off.

Comanche:
My mum cry . I was the one with her when she breathed her last in the midnight and I had to stay with her because it was too late for any other family to journey down to us.

And I wasn't scared which was quite surprising for someone like me that grew up scared of shadows and imaginary ghosts up till my adulthood.

When i was younger i wouldn't go in to sleep and would rather doze sitting up till everyone was done gisting on the verandah late in the night and when I was older I wouldn't sleep with the lights off.

What always amazed me about that night was that she was still warm when I suddenly woke up from a sudden waft of cold but she had already passed on. But by day she was already cold, stiff and heavy.

I even had to quickly cut and sew the white clothes she was buried in myself, help wash her and clothe her for the jannazah. I kept wondering if that was the same person i knew all my life lieing so cold and immobile. Till today I can't stand the smell of lux soap because she was bathed with it and a sick sweetly smell permeated the air during and after. I wasn't even if the smell was from the lux, from the dead body or just a mixture of the two.

This your story of lux soap happened to me.
But it was a perfume that was used on a neighbor when she died... It's over 10 years and I still call that perf with that woman's name.

Politics / Re: How Andy Uba’s 200,000 APC Supporters Were Stopped by anochuko01(m): 8:42pm On Nov 13, 2021
The BIVAS is a very welcome development. Figures are sent as soon as the election is completed, a copy of the result is snapped and sent to inecs database, the number of votes mustn't exceed the number of accredited users in your register and most importantly, there's no longer the need for tendered ballot papers.

However, I fear a rise in ballot snatching and violence. It's just gonna be about finding means to disrupt election in your opposition's strong hold.

It should be because most marriages these days crash because of it. But for people who are not sexually active, how will they know. Nobody should drag me o because I'm tired.

Even as one who isn't sexually active, judging from the way I feel and think, I'm sure I'm gonna like s*x. I can't wait this long and still deprive myself when I finally get married grin.

I'll surely let my wife know I'll be going on a spree, and the feeling has to be the mutual cheesy

Above all, marry a person that's understanding coz things could also change with time.

That still doesn’t mean that the election was freeeeeee and fair

Election in Nigeria is a question of who rigged the election the most

I participated in this election as an electoral official, and I can tell you that this is one of the most credible elections in the history Nigeria.
With the introduction of BIVAS, you can discover a rigged election result in less than one minute... This isn't an exaggeration.

But I'm scared that it won't scale up because politicians would simply device another means to influence elections.

Education / Re: My Secondary School Chemistry Students Made This Salt by anochuko01(m): 9:17am On Nov 10, 2021
Oduok:
The attached picture made my day.

A group of SS2 students in one of the schools I visit to teach Chemistry came excitedly, "Sir, we have produced our own salt. We would not buy salt again in the market."

I taught them in SS1 SEPARATION TECHNIQUES that you can obtain salt (NaCl) by evaporating sea water to dryness.

The students now secretly arranged for one of them to visit Ibeno water and get sample of the seawater which they evaporated to dryness and here comes our locally made salt.

Qualitative Analysis: The salt produced on exposure to air was found to be deliquescent - attracts water from the atmosphere to dissolve itself. It dissolves completely in water. The solution of the salt gave white precipitate when tested with solution of silver nitrate, the precipitate was insoluble in nitric acid (confirmatory test for chlorides)

This indeed is very rewarding as it has been my expectation to help this young minds to begin now to figure out ways of harnessing our natural resources.

While I will continue with the work of purifying the product at my private technical center, I have advised them that the salt need to be purified to remove carbonates and other non-sodium halides etc.

We would in the present state use the salt as preservative for our emulsion paint, we would use it for laboratory test for chlorides and to demonstrate removal of hardness of water (water softening by ion exchange).

My philosophy of high school chemistry is to let them understand the theory, carry out the laboratory practicals, and apply the knowledge to do mini projects.

I love this type of chemistry.

The most interesting part of this is that you have your personal lab.

That is not to say the election isn't to be highly rated. Infact, from the results, I think the election is largely free and fair despite pockets of irregularities here and there. I am only amused the police are rating elections now.

No police officer would say otherwise regardless of their ranking. They were happy to come, do their job, collect their 5k in peace and return to their family. They election was free because they also played their part marvellously well...
