ok. the lawyer wrote an appeal so her visa cancellation can be revoked stating reasons on how she was treated becos she was with a 1yr old on 14hr flight and sent back immediately wasn't fair becos she pleaded with them to let her go in and atleast stay for the one week and leave becos of her preg and baby but the refused, so they replied and said it wasn't possible but she can reapply(that's how it was resolved) thanku

You said it was resolved, and we are saying that that is not a resolution.

To answer your question, I would advise she applies alone. The matter already has k leg no need involving her hubby and kids.

goodmorning everyone, please I have a question mbok, my sis had a visiting visa in 2012 used it twice and renewed and used for vacation again in 2015 and in 2016 wtd to use it for delivery (chai we didn't know abt notification of intent then) so she just travelled early and used Chicago poe, well she was stamped in but sent to sec insp(because her return ticket was for a week; a mistake we also took for granted) and read her chat on her phone with a friend abt hosp details and all and found out oh she was preg and sent her back, visa cancelled. my aunt who she was to stay with got a lawyer for her and the matter was resolved tho and the lawyer asked her to apply for another visa. my qst now is should she apply alone or with hubby and her 2 kids? she is really scared she may not be granted visa again.. thankyou fam

Good morning everyone, i honestly think you lot are being too hard on her. Remember, she just had twins via C-section and was given a ridiculous bill. There is something called post-partum depression which she may be struggling with and she may not be thinking clearly for now. We know she made mistakes and is still probably making more now but some words of encouragement and correcting her in love will do her more harm than good in this difficult situation.

My 2 cents.

Nope nobody is being hard on her. In fact folks have been mild self.

If we keep quiet in the spirit of being considerate we won't be calling a spade a spade.

And this is not related to post partum depression on any way.

Let us say things as they are. You can't stroll in at 36 weeks with twins expecting a discount.

So many things wrong with the turn of events but a we say "we give God the glory"

Someone somewhere will read the story and try that course of action with potentially disastrous consequences

Thanks to the wonderful e family, travelled at 36weeks, 24 hours in the air, no single questions asked at Poe, hubby, me, mum and toddler stamped for six months, delivered babies the next day, no jaundice, no need for incubator or transfusion. - "do you have any relatives in the US"?
Could answer be YES as there's an option for spouse and I'm here presently. Or NO as he has no relatives either immediate or extended here.
- "US contact info"?
Would that be my cousin's address and contact as he'll be staying at same address.
- Thirdly, is there a way I can schedule an appointment (choose a date) before submitting d DS160 form ***payment made at d bank already.

Yes you can schedule your appointment as soon as you have paid. However you will need the reference number of the DS160 to make the appointment. If for any reason you do not submit that particular DS 160 (you decide to use a new DS 160) it would mean that the Reference number on the interview appointment will not be the same as your new DS 160.

Is there a format for the notary public document that the father has to sign attesting that he is the father of the child (for passport issuance purposes)?

Or can I just go to any court and assume they should know what to include in the document?

Renew your passport, and travel with your old passport with the visa on it. It's perfectly fine to have 2 passports with the visa on the old one.

Ensure you travel before your visa expires.

Your request is not very coherent.

Either way you should have calculated the cost of porting to Houston vs the price of rerouting the ticket.

If the cost is too much, take a local flight from Houston to JFK and use your current ticket. from JFK to Lagos.

Apparently Nigeria issues max of one year visa to NonNigerians, typically.

Now the question arises that why have they been issuing 2 years visa to our babies on this thread.

i agree and I would be joining her even before she is ready to return. the average ticket prices from jfk to houston is about 250-$300 which is still not up to what i am getting for a direct flight

also remember that by breaking up the flight, your bags are not checked in directly to Lagos. from Houston when you are returning.

You will have to collect all your load at JFK and re-check in. Also most of these local flights charge for baggage separately (usually about US$25 - 35 per bag).
