LiteratureSilent Trend...... by ANYPEN(op): 10:57am On Nov 11, 2012
There is a silent TREND on social networks but it isn't silent enough to escape my EARDRUMS. I really cannot say how serious it is but from experience, i know every SERIOUS social problem starts SIMPLE.

it is an undeniable FACT that the WEST has taken and are still taking a lot from us (Africans). This makes it very funny when we willingly give them MORE than they ask for. it is enough that we do not have a full GRASP on our culture, fashion, food and pitifully LANGUAGE anymore as Nigerians but isn't it getting too far when we intentionally give away our IDENTITY in form of our native names to the WEST?

Most Yoruba NAMES are now spelt 'Englishly' on social networks. As INNOCENT as this act may seem, it screams "IGNORANCE". if we can't help every other thing SLIPPING through our fingers, why can't we hold on to the one inscribed on our PALMS?

Our names are our first identity; it is the last trace to our ROOTS and the one our 'eleda' responds to. if a social network user from China for example cannot remember the Yorubas from your name, then you're lost on the network and ultimately on the WORLD map.

if you're pushed, you don't also push yourself (with an open man-hole in front).
LiteratureWhat Time Is It? by ANYPEN(op): 6:58pm On Nov 08, 2012
WHAT TIME IS IT?
Do you think it’s the time to sit ELEGANTLY in a corner of an air-conditioned hall as a young banker of a bank managing a DOOMED economy?
OR
Do you think it is time to walk around with shoulders high as a young OIL company employee where the BOSSES are rogues and THIEVES?
OR
Do you think it’s time to hold on to CHALK and happily hoard and award SCORES as a young lecturer in a university that has no FACILITIES?
OR
Is it the time to go to your shop as ROUTINE to battle the electricity generating machine that is now a MENACE to the society?
OR
Is time to gnash teeth and COMPLAIN while holding on to certificates and studying every signboard and space for VACANCY?
OR
Or do you think it’s time to turn FRIENDS to FOES for what they could give and FAMILY to ENEMY for what they couldn’t do to your needs?
If you ask me what time it is, I think it is the time to SPEAK!

If you’re a YOUTH, no matter what you do or where you are, this is the time to SPEAK. In those days, it’s the WALLS that has ears but in our days, ears are everywhere in the AIR so let us speak and keep speaking until they can yield to HEAR.

To treat a sore, you must first open it up. If this write-up DISGUST you, it’s okay ‘cause it is an open SORE!
Literature"Black Monkey"; A Statement For Look Or For Attitude? by ANYPEN(op): 3:39pm On Nov 05, 2012
I have chose to look at one of the most humiliating and undoubtedly the longest surviving trend in the world more CRITICALLY and tried to avoid looking at it LITERALLY like most people around here do. When a white man call a black man MONKEY, I do not think he meant a black man is an ape or that he looks like one—nah, what I think he meant is more historically inclined and because most Africans aren’t good student of HISTORY, we take this statement very personal.

I think he (white man) is simply saying “your FATHERS weren’t different from apes knowing and doing nothing with their lives until my father came around with innovations in sciences, health, economy, entertainment and technology to HEAL and take care of their problems. Till date you are only mimicking what we do and do what we say in these fields and that APES too can if given the right support and attention like we gave and still giving you”.

So the statement isn’t for the black man’s LOOK but for his ATTITUDE. Do you now think it is fair that you compete and even want to overthrow your master? This is why he calls you a monkey whenever you try to compete, just to remind you a little history.

But on the other hand, there is a strong argument with concrete EVIDENCES that Africans had culture, science, entertainment, beliefs and even technology before the whites came into the territories, if this is true, then the big question is; what inhibited and still inhibiting the DEVELOPMENT of these things. For how long will black man troop into the white man’s area and then sue him (white man) for whatever names he calls him? For how long will black man neglect his science, culture, technology, history, land and people for another man’s and then accuse the white man for saying what he thinks he (black man) is because of his ATTITUDE towards himself?

The white man has turned Africa to a large WILDLIFE where he comes to see not only wild animals but also WILD HUMANS. Wild human because, the black man doesn’t seem to know the worth of human life. If an African YOUTH can set another ablaze because of European toys (laptops, Blackberry etc); if an African LEADER who has a sole responsibility of improving the standard of living of his people can steal the land’s resources to invest in a foreign land while his people languish in abject POVERTY; If Africans can strangle their economy with their bare hands by throwing their thinking cap into the sea to CONSUME everything from overseas then you don’t know the worth of human LIFE and maybe it is because you are not one (maybe the white man is right).

The West (Europe) is a very small area competing with the East (Asia) and other places with larger landscapes and POPULATIONS so if you think the West needs you for more than what he needs you for as a black man, then, maybe you’re truly a ‘MONKEY’.

So, if you see MIKEL OBI and others like him tell them not to bother accusing the ‘MASTER’ instead, they should reach home to affect their people positively and I bet no one will look them askance talk more of calling them monkey like no one called KANU NWANKWO whom the whites accord great respect with awards for his humanitarian activities towards his people.

So, Mr.Black man, COMMENT on this if you wanna, LIKE it if you wanna, SHARE this if you wanna, unfortunately, you can’t tear it, I would have said you should TEAR it if you wanna.

if pastors have really impacted just the Christians in this nation, the whole of the country wont be this worse and there would have been more converts from other religions to Christianity not converts from one christian denomination to another. conclusion, No impact of pastors on the people's lives in this country

LiteratureWater In His Pocket by ANYPEN(op): 4:02pm On Oct 10, 2012

I grow up hearing people say “nothing is impossible with people” and I think it is very true. I have seen people do many incredible things and even heard people do more amazing things. I have seen a man cutting destinies like he’s clearing grass with a cutlass. I have seen a man like a black star in the dark sky and still he could shine. I have also seen a man walking around in my neighborhood with water in his pocket. “How can a man walk around with water in his pocket?” you ask? ------- That’s what I saw my brother/sister.

Water, like people can float one to wherever one wants to go, it can also sink one and swallow one up no matter how big. Water, like people can sustain life, it can also destroy it (ask the fish). Water, like people are very unpredictable----- one moment they are involve in a process that build you like bricks, another moment, they are what wash you away like flood breaking down walls. Water can wet you down to your pants in disgrace, it can also wet down into your throat to quench ‘thirst’.

Pockets are loyal keepers for their owners. Pocket like character follows one wherever he goes. Pockets like character are always open to the owner to put to use and never keeps anything from him. Pocket like character can make one proud and that is when one puts his hands just to make a pose. Pocket like character can also let one down and that is when it leaks all that one has. The pocket does all these for a simple but very important reward; the pocket does these because the owner calls it “MY POCKET”.

If water is what it is and pocket is what it is------ then it is amazing that a man will have water in his pocket. It means this man is able to have people with their very contradictory, controversial and formless nature to suit his person. He has people when he wants to and keeps them when he wants to. No one talks odd of him. He can remain unnoticed for as long as he wants and the whole continent can gather for his course when he wants to be seen. This man has one of the highest honors of the Whites and won’t even wear the suit because he understands his root. He has ‘the big mouth’ but always remembers his teeth are numbered so he never bites more than he can chew. People love to be in his character because in his character he refers to people as “MY PEOPLE”.

Wole is Integrity and Integrity is Wole. Wole Soyinka; the man with water in his pocket.

What are the things that pushes a tree to move?
If a man & a woman are committed with eachother especially when it is already involving marriage or s*ex, then you're rooted. You have spiritual & physical obligation to remain rooted (protect the commitment) till death do you part.

So my brother, if you've uprooted self, it means the commitment have started dying thus making you to start dying too if you don't make a quick & conscious effort to re-plant the root!
