logo77: If you investigate further; you will find out this is not an official sticker from the ministry.... just someone
trying to make money from sales of this sticker (because he/she knows that people will buy.
No one will want to sell a commodity that hasn't been demanded for. Directly or indirectly, the seller sensed the demand for the sticker! This all started when they start calling their pastors daddy & the wife mummy...... This is the next step! & there will be another step!
Christianity EtcRe: Your Thoughts On This Sticker Of Bishop Oyedepo? Blasphemy by ANYPEN(m): 2:20pm On Aug 28, 2012
Eh! Not son of God again! When will all these madness stop in this country!

Am sure if that person sees the pastor face to face, he'll faint because all his senses will make him feel he's seeing a supernatural being----- a God & this is a man that eats, drink, mess, shit, pee, fight, makes friends & have s*ex with his wife @ night.

Samething the useless daughter did on the renaming of unilag to her father's name.

I can't seems to place all those pictures.
BusinessRe: Conversation With Sanusi On "New" Currency Policy by ANYPEN(m): 12:53pm On Aug 27, 2012
AjanleKoko: That is a really dumb comment, ogbeni.
You're asking how it is the CBN governor's problem what banks load in their ATM?
You really said that?
If I've made a dumb comment, then SLS have made a dumb(er) one by not knowing that ATMs have regulations of a fix amount of money & not a fix quantity of it.

& you are the dumb(est) to have reasoned with him.
BusinessRe: Conversation With Sanusi On "New" Currency Policy by ANYPEN(m): 12:37pm On Aug 27, 2012
coogar: how is it risky?
how would you tell i have such amount in the left pocket of my jacket? one bundle of this 5000 note is N500k.....which is more convenient unlike carrying 5 bundles of 1000 note to carry the same amount of money!
Well, the quality of your jacket will tell & even if there's nothing in it, your life may have gone before they know your jacket isn't carrying such amount
BusinessRe: Conversation With Sanusi On "New" Currency Policy by ANYPEN(m): 12:26pm On Aug 27, 2012
puskin: The bolded part is a complete fallacy as at now. I say this because the maximum a bank's cash officer can load in any ATM is 2million. Anything above that is at the risk of the cash officer and that amount is the maximum NDIC can cover in the event ATM theft should arise.
So the issue of loading more money into the ATM doesn't arise here......unless that policy is reviewed.
What's even his business with how much they load or how they load? What is his business with easing the process of loading in an ATM and How is this affecting the economy positively. This is a very lame excuse & with just that excuse I'm sure the other ones are lame as well.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ANYPEN(m): 12:36pm On Aug 26, 2012
@ OP. I served in Sokoto & throughout my stay, I couldn't stop wondering why Hausa boy will address his father & mother using their first name.

When I was working in Osun, an ibo boy that came to serve couldn't stop wondering why we greet every time & bow each time

Now, you see a picture where respect is displayed @ its finest & can't stop wondering.
the fact is that you can't understand, it is not in your capacity to.

Yorubas are a different people. We are wise & & the most informed of the three and that's the interpretation of the picture you can't decipher.
CelebritiesRe: Why Are Nigerians Hosting Award-Shows In The US? by ANYPEN(m): 7:34pm On Aug 25, 2012
I listened to Tunde Kelani talk on Nigerian movies & the craze In making movies to imitate the Americans. As a matter of fact, we can't impress a common American on the street with the best we have to offer.
Americans are seriously waiting to be impressed with what we represent (our culture, our religion *NOT talking of Christianity & Islam* & our way of life generally) through our movies & here we are just fooling ourselves with their waste.

Some soap opera in Nigeria will make you wonder if stupidity hasn't taken over our TVs. Even some so called respected actors engage in plays that has no sense @ all & still they go to America for awardshuh. SMH

Americans are the best @ it & just in like in the London Olympics basketball, we are where we are.

Poems For ReviewDeep Secrets by ANYPEN(op):
If no one will listen
I'll tell open holes & assume they're all ears

If no one will believe me
I'll wait on the lizards to nod their heads

I've deep secrets
Having them kept is too much to bear

Very deep secrets
Digging them up most times gives me a scare

My deep secrets
Like ripples on water, I want them spread

Now that you chose to listen
For good reasons, I want my grandmother dead

This isn't just writing
Just trying expressing
Forget it is looking like a poem

For good reasons, who do you want dead?
If it's a secret, I promise I won't tell.

is what is usually known as the first storey. That is not too high. One can survive falls
from such heights even an elderly woman.

I have never heard Fela blame Danjuma for his mother's death. Do you mean Shehu Yar'adua
who Fela frequently mentions?
Do you know that people die by just missing their steps on stair case abi Danjuma no be soldier?

Super1759: he is anointed by God. He is gifted in teaching jus like d bible said"some are prophet, some are teachers..." Guy stop hating, you cannot assemble kindergaten kids and make them believe your teaching let alone millions of people and elites across the globe. He teaches sound doctrine and far more expository than most church owners. Abeg leave him jare
I asked a simple question & you're ranting like this. "who says who a man of God is?"

dammytosh: Can we use our brains for once instead of senseless assault for no reason ? As much as i am not a fan of any Nigerian Pastor, The bill board above was done by some church members in preparation for his birthday.

They were just trying to be creative. See it from that angle instead of unnecessarily attacking the innocent passtor (innocent in this case i mean.)

This bill board is a birthday wish board not errected by Pastor Chris as the headline says.
You call that creativityhuh
& don't you think the members must have gone through all sorts of brain-washing by the pastor to have come up with this? Even if this is not his idea, it is a result of his handy work on people don't you think, you block-head!
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor-Chris Erects Massive Billboard Of Professions by ANYPEN(m): 11:11am On Aug 24, 2012
Am tempted to say this is stupidity in the highest order but then, I think it is even more of a great confusion on the part of the pastor. How will you reconcile being a Superman to being a pope & a united state president, then a doctor...... This man is simply insanely confused.

Someone is indirectly calling himself GOD here.

Super1759: young man.be careful what you say. He is a man of God and you don't have right to judge him or call him names. Dat silly of you.
I don't attend christ embassy but I have all his teachings. he is a good teacher to listen to. Though I detest how his members adore him. But that's their belief. I have my life to live and salvation to win
Who declares who a man of God is?
YOU? the MAN or GOD.huh

He should be able to explain to Nigerians why he has to take this very scary step nah. You can't just wake up & say you wanna make N5000 note & turn N20 to coin nah. I don't see any reason for the change.

You wasted my time by making me go through what you call "10 must know facts about RR". There is nothing special about his past life nah. He cant even sing with it not to talk of making movie from it. Am sure your past life will be more inspiring.

Have you seen 50cent's life? Don't be a mumu guy, everyone have a past.
CelebritiesRe: Rick Ross Live Performance with Red Carpet Pics by ANYPEN(m): 1:35pm On Aug 23, 2012
I seriously don't know what that rick Ross is singing o. He is simply talking stu*pid rhymes & the way he makes it so slow annoys me. I feel he's another insult to the rap world after lil Wayne.

I will far prefer JayZ, 50cent, eminem who seems to be upholding what rap represented in the days of 2pac & notorous BIG. This one is just one pap!

To the pictures, I think some ladies are really desperate and their desperation has gone to a higher level.

If its true they committed suicide for failing WAEC, they must be well derailed & people trained with a very wrong orientation to life. If appropriate actions aren't taken soon, more teenagers in that society will engage in this very lame act.
LiteratureRe: You May Think You're A Writer When You're Not One! by ANYPEN(m): 1:16am On Aug 23, 2012
Basic: A couple of months ago, I posted a notice here on Nairaland, stating that I need some writers to assist me whenever I have some bulk writing projects, which I cannot handle all by myself due to my tight schedule. Expectedly, I got loads of application in my email.
One thing I didn't just find funny while reading through the applications is that, most applicants are not just fit to be called writers, going by the bunches of grammatical, punctuation, and style errors I found in their applications and attached samples. I was forced to conclude that there are very few good writers in Nigeria. Of all the applicants, I could only manage to work with 1 or 2 of them. And as for those, I could't even risk sending their writings directly to my clients without taking my time to edit and proofread their work.
One thing I've come to realise is that, most people think they'll make good writers simply because they're good speakers. No, they are different. Writing requires training. Punctuation alone takes time to master, let alone other aspects. Of course, when you speak, you don't mention punctuations. So, you won't know you're very poor in your usage of punctuations while writing.
I used to write badly before too until I met a client of mine who was a world-class writer. Yes, a graduate of a writing school in Connecticut. He groomed me, taught me, inspired me, and helped me improve my writing. Now, with confidence, I've raised my charges and my clients aren't complaining. In fact, when I look at the articles I wrote long ago when I just began writing, I find it hard to believe that I wrote those articles. Even though, then, I looked at myself as a "good" writer.
Fellow writers, you don't have to bag a degree in English or journalism to excel as a freelance writer. You do not need to have a vast vocabulary (in fact, my clients, most of whom are Americans, would complain when I use big grammar).
My advice to every aspiring writer is to get closer to editors, and experienced writers. You'll gain a lot this way.
Personally, I can assist anyone who wishes to have his/her writing assessed. I'll scrutinize and check for errors, then send tips to you on how you can improve your writing. In addition, to interacy with other writers, you can search for the facebook group with the name "FREELANCE WRITING TIPS" and request to join. I'll accept your request as soon as possible.
If you need my assistance in any way, I'll be willing to assist (no charges). Just check out my blog, the link to which you'll find in my signature box below, and reach me via my contacts page.
Becoming a writer is not hard. With some determination, openness to criticism, and practice, you'll get there. The web is constantly in need of people like you. Yes, every website has a text content. Content rocks! Content is king!

PS: Don't mind any errors in my writing. I wrote this on phone while in school, during a practical session. So, I couldn't edit before posting right away.
I write articles on a website I own. I just need someone to read, edit & possibly make better my article before I upload it on the web. Don't know if I can reach you on the same e-mail address
LiteratureRe: I Need Help With My Writing by ANYPEN(m): 12:55am On Aug 23, 2012
How about having the complete story first in your end. I mean, having all the critical points like a frame of the story, then build the body gradually making sure that every sentence is constructed to capture your audience. This may take a long time but the end result will worth far more than the time spent. Great writers write a single story for years.

CelebritiesRe: Ten Worst Nigerian Celebrity Stage Names (Part 1) by ANYPEN(m): 10:57am On Aug 20, 2012
Most muscians that aren't with their real names as stage name will have their names sounding stupid until you can here their reasons for those names.

I think their names is a reflection of their personalities, most of these musicians are FAKE & when I say fake, I mean they don't have real principles & values that makes a strong character.

If you have strong character as a person, the first thing you do is identify, recognize & accept self & that includes your name & idealogies. This is part of what you sell in whatever you do.

But this ones look for what will sound sweet on people's tongue.... That's "fake" (you don't know self yet) & now you selling what you don't know?...... Bullshit!

I've heard Asa talked about her name & I think she's original. She picked that name when she was a child from an occurrence. I think she is an exception.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Backs Lamido/Amaechi For 2015 by ANYPEN(m): 9:40am On Aug 20, 2012
I don't see Pdp producing the next president & vice no matter who they present & Ameachi is definitely far from the kind of president I dream for nigeria. His style of leadership is so annoying. Ameachi thinks he is a God even as a governor, he will simply become power drunk if he becomes a president.
