Hi Nairalanders,
It happened today, was supposed to visit my fiance today but i decided not to go. I was surprised he only called me once today which is very unusual of him. I felt something is wrong so i decided to visit him without calling to know if he is around or not.
Getting to his house i met him with another girl drinking wine together. Guess what i did? I greeted the lady, opened d fridge took a bottle of wine served myself, changed d Tv channel to a music station. D girl was not comfortable again and she decided to leave.
My fiance has been begging that d lady is just a friend to him and i asked him this question "if she is just a friend why didn't u introduce her to me?
Told him am no longer comfortable with him, he is pleading i shouldn't leave him now he is calling my friends to beg me but have already made up my mind to keep to myself.
Just what if he's telling the truth? I guess ur reaction only goes to confirm his fears. Relationships are built on trust and from all indication u don't trust ur man one bit cos u couldn't give him the tiniest benefit of a doubt. There's no rule anywhere in d world that a man must introduce his friends to his woman. You said that she left cos she was becoming uncomfortable with ur presence, guess what, wat u did was outright rude and she most certainly left outta respect. U are just acting insecure, cos I see no reason y ur said fiancee cannot entertain his friends or welcome them into his house.
Romance › Re: I Mistakenly Impregnated A Woman by Apina(m):
infantlion:
Hello fellow Nairanders,

Once upon a time in 2016, I fell in love with a beautiful damsel who happened to be a virgin. We became very intimate and had great sex. After sex, she always thanked me for making her feel so extraordinary. As at that time, I was madly in love with her.

We got engaged in December 2016 in a grant style due to the fact that am working as a graduate engineer in a multinational firm.

I sincerely had the intention of taking her to the altar until early February, my friend alerted me that he saw my girl in a club with four(4) young men...I got worried and quickly called, her phone rang, no response.I gave her 458 missed calls until later in the evening, she answered"Nkem, am so sorry, I was sleeping while your calls came through"

I wept and called my friend to confirm if his is very sure of what he told me...He insisted.I kept wondering, how could an engaged woman flirt around with guys? I was shocked because I got 95% of what women need-money, good sex, good looking, good job e.t.c

In a nutshell, I invited her to my place and interrogated her and she admitted that she went to club with those guys but nothing happened. No woman would truly agree that she "spreaded" her legs for another man.

My feelings for her crashed to 0%..She pleaded for 30 days until she involved my pastor. My pastor told me to embrace forgiveness which I did...We started all over again and she promised to be faithful, loyal and honest at all times..

A month later she took in.The badnews came as a shock to me because I never cum inside her whenever we had sex...I quickly rushed to see my family doctor. He told me there is 100% chances of any woman to get pregnant with the method I adopted.

Due to the fact that my feelings for her is still at 0%, I begged her for an abortion and she replied"over my dead body"..Her family called me and I told them I am not ready and they threatened to arrest me...They sent her to my house last week with her protruded stomach without my consent...It was very late and I had no choice than to let her in.

Luck ran out of her this morning when she got a call from one Pastor Mike...I was curious to know if it is "hygienic" for a pastor to call a beautiful damsel in the early hours of the day...I questioned her and she told me the guy is a genuine pastor...
Me:pastor of which church?
She:Catholic Church
Do catholic church ordain pastors?

I called the so-called Pastor Mike and he said, he is not a pastor.

I have contacted my family and friends, but am not yet comfortable with their counsel.

One good thing about Nairanders is that from the bad, the good and the ugly comments, a wise OP should be able to get something out of nothing.

Long live Nairanders!!!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
See the way ur pastor put u for one chance. This one wen b say she carry una mata go meet am sef Hope say e no join dey shine her Congo, just saying sha. She's crafty and not trustworthy which u are very much aware of. If after the paternity test, its indicated that the child is urz, no harm in taking ur child since from all indication u no longer want her talk more of loving her.

For disciplining his child in a manner he sees fit or for whipping the spirit of disobedience outta that her small head? As if when e happen tomorrow una go dey there. Even if they don't have a television at home, since when did TV's become a basic necessity? Those shouting abuse, when u born ur own or if u already have, treat them d way u want and allow others train their own in the way they see fit. Rape in Nigeria is a daily occurrence and also very rampant. We are only fortunate or unfortunate to have heard of this incident solely because it was reported to the police and there was a sextape involved. This also got me thinking what if it was consensual and she wasn't forced as alleged, and the said lady was no longer interested which led to the sextape being leaked cos we are yet to hear from the man. Even with the high number of news making rounds on this issue of rape, our women wouldn't still learn cos greed would not allow them listen to the voice of reason.

Your mindset is Barbaric!
No offence but just plain truth.
There are other measures/ways he could have handled it.Even the military don't act like this.
It's a very serious offence for a high ranking officer to assault an other rank in the military.
He should be dealt with appropriately.
I won't respond to your mentions if you chose to.
U call it assault, I call it discipline. I am entitled to my opinion as u are to yours. No matter what u tag it as, be it barbaric or ancient, thats your business. How do u know what's obtainable in the army? Are u one of them?

Nigerians are highly hypocritical. If this woman was suspended or even retrenched for having broken protocol, the narrative from those shouting abuse would be, just because of common hair. If she didn't want to be treated like a kid or embarrassed, why did she not do what's expected? Most Nigerians lack maturity, discipline and respect for existing orders and protocols, that's why anything goes has become the national mantra. She simply got what she asked for, cos if she wasn't wearing braids like someone going for owambe which she very well knows is inappropriate and against the dress code for an officer then we wouldn't be talking about it being cut off in the first place.

You just confirmed what I said. she could be raped cos there are actual rapists waiting for such opportunities, People who fit into that description. I am not offended as a man when people say such things, don't know about u for the very fact that as I have pointed earlier no one knows how another would act or react to any situation. Men are easily moved by what we see, some are able to act maturely others aren't able to. The reality on ground is that people get raped either revealingly dressed or not but the whole idea is, do not send an invitation to be in that position by drawing attention to yourself wearing scanty clothings. Moderation is key, better safe than sorry.

Great win efe. Representing the street.

But allow me to be a little critical and I don't care if I get hates for this. It's high time nigerians stop being sentimental, I know the campaign for efe was massive based on (logistics) the fact that he was from the street. Yes he had a poor background and all that... But in all honesty he is not even among the most entertaining or talented in the house. This is the same thing Nigerians so when it comes to election, we vote based on sentiments thereby pushing someone who doesn't deserve to win into critical positions. And then we come back and blame the government when those people we vote in don't perform. We need to change this out attitude.

Once again, well-done efe.
Its a reality TV show not talent hunt. What's does it mean to be talented?

i understand you perfectly but if a man is hungry and sees someone eating next to you,do you snatch the food from his hand?the highest you can say is please can I also have a taste? That's if he's willing to give you but if he's not or he says no you respect yourself and comot face.

In like manner if you see a girl that turns you on sexually the highest you can do is toast her.if she no gree you move front
Yea, u are right. But most importantly, one cannot determine how others would act or react to various situations. Even within d situations u proposed, things could turn out for the worse. What if the person forcefully collect the food threaten to beat u join? In the same manner, a girl who dresses skimpily could be raped, or isn't that a possibility? So consideration for others and ones self through moderation is important.

o puleassseee it's very natural and normal for a penis to stand when it sees something sexually attractive. It show's he's normal and potent or his penis is functioning. It becomes a cause for concern when his penis isn't coming up

It is not a sin to be aroused.it's natural and normal for a man's penis to stand. It shows he's aroused.it becomes a sin when he cannot control his libido

For example it's like saying its a sin to be hungry. It's normal to be hungry. When you're hungry you control your hunger urges till you get home or get to a restaurant. You don't say because you're hungry and you perceive the aroma of food next house you break into their house and take their food using violence
I understand and appreciate your stand but look at the context from which I made my comment. Moderation becomes necessary due to different levels of control. We all are not the same and our level of control differ based on what's involved.

the Ten commandments is still important. There's no place in the ten commandments they said tattoo is a sin or wearing ripped jeans is a sin. We are living under grace now.
What if the ripped jeans which exposes some delicate parts of the woman's body leads someone to think of fornicating with her or even lure them into adultery. Would they have broken any of the commandments? Grace is living above the law not below it. Actions that would lead others to sin should be discouraged. Saint Paul said, if my eating meat would lead my brother to sin, then I would rather not eat meat.

jaymejate:
Because it is or was... huh The dsy Jesus rode on Donkey and people laying palm for him to pass.

The real question is

WHAT IS THE MEANING, SPIRITUAL MEANING OF IT?
The crowds action as Jesus rode into Jerusalem is where the name palm Sunday originated from, cos they cut off palm fronds and placed them on the ground as he rode by. The people believed Jesus was the political messiah sent to liberate them from the hands of the Roman's which was an illusion on their part. The spiritual meaning as you have asked, is embedded in the intention of their actions which I believe has posed a grave threat to contemporary Christianity. Prosperity is the gospel of the day in most acclaimed churches instead of salvation, and that's why most people fall prey to those who extort them in the name of Christ, who's message primary purpose is for the salvation of souls and not attainment of wealth as most have come to put at the top of their list.

The man did admit things became difficult for him, and he had to move to Badagry. What you'll not hear him say is possibly the numerous nights they went to bed hungry, especially the children. The numerous times they were sent home from school for failure to pay school fees. They say she is a mother of 4 children, so the boy in question is not their only child.
The other children are possibly with their mother, and she's looking after them. She also said he left all the financial responsibility to her. Now that she's solely catering for the other 3 children, he would find it easier to look after only one child- the boy in question.

In short, all this I've just typed is to let you know the man wasn't handling the financial aspect of the home properly.
She shouldn't watch her children suffer, and be sent home from school because of failure to pay school fees, and what not. Its only sensible she takes up a job. She's an adult , not disabled/ incapacitated and really has no excuse for not working and going hungry.
Better to work than going around neighbors and family begging for money or asking to borrow money that'll never be paid back.
Do u know the family? And is ur input based on first hand knowledge or hearsays? The problem with Nigerians is that the media feed you half truths and you grab it like your lives depends on it. That's why you praise your corrupt leaders ,see tribes, sleep on foolish issues like BBN while your economy is dying. The youths are online typing trash and insults instead of rising to become leaders and hold their leaders accountable.
Seems You are delusional. What has our leaders, BBN which I don't watch and tribe got to do with a domestic issue? Instaed u went on to assume that I should have known that you had inside info. How do you know she's greedy?
Will a greedy woman get a house in a cheaper environment and pay the rent for years when the husband couldn't afford the high cost of their lekki home or pay the children's fees?

Please try to be objective when commenting on issues.
Do u know how much a naval captain earns as basic salary? Not including allowance. If he's able to afford a driver based on her story, why can't he be able to fend for his family of just 3 persons? She said things weren't going so well for the family and that's the reason for her choosing to work, if I may ask, @ what point in time did you get to hear that the armed forces were deprived of their wage or wages? There are still more questions I would have loved to ask but let me leave it at this.

Nota bene: There was no mention of a lekki home in the story, she said the husband sold their house without mentioning its location. Always read through carefully so as not to get things mixed up and always apply logic and reason not sentiments when analysing issues that's only when u can attain the truth and in turn objectivity.

Some men will not be able to cater for all the responsibilities of the family but will feel threatened if their wife decides to work.
God bless Ngozi Okonjo's husband and very other man that stood behind great women we know today.

@ story, let the court decide, hope she has enough money to fight for justice,if not let her run to Facebook and search for FIN,they will help her
Sorry to say but your comment is somewhat absurd. The money she's gonna earn, isn't it gonna be used within the family? So why should the husband be threatened in anyway. What amount of money or going by ur logic, success is worth more than family unity? Its not the case that the husband couldn't feed, cloth or put a roof over her head, so what more does she want after 21 years? Contentment is a virtue, greed its opposite.

The world doesn't smile on men who cannot provide for their families. I see no reason why a woman would wanna distract her man from his primary duty with house chores. This doesn't mean the man cannot ASSIST in and around the home. It would only be foolish for a woman to burden her husband with something as trivial as chores when she's supposed to be a helper, lightening his burden.
