Please for those that have applied for tier 2 health care visa in the UK switching from tier 4 student visa. How long did it take after biometrics for your tier 2 visa to be ready?

U will get both cos and sponsor licence ..u need both for visa apllication..some will even do you a screen shot of the UKVI page where they applied for your COS as a form of document representing your COS...
Thanks very much. The one I have seen is just the COS. I will follow up on that.
TravelRe: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by aragbaboy: 5:46am On Aug 11, 2022
Hello, when you get your sponsorship is it only the COS number that you get from the employer or he also gives you a sponsor license number to apply? I am asking because for student visa you get the sponsor license number and your CAS number.

What if you are already legally in the UK for like 6 months before you got the Care Home that wants to employ and sponsor you, do you still need to write IELTS?
You write it unless you are currently studying in a UK university or have a certificate to proof you finished from a school in the UK

Hello, Can you please help with the link for the care course, whether is for care certificate or NVQ 3. Preferably a free online course that is acceptable or even if you ll pay it should not be too expensive.

Application approved for the whole family.
Work permits for parent and visiting visa for infant.
Took 69days after biometrics instead of the proposed two weeks.
Do you need to have an express entry profile and be on the pool to be to go through the LMIA route?

Not sure there is much to say since I’m already here as a dependant.

Okay so the plan was to get post study visa (£2000 each) after my wife’s masters and then hopefully she gets a tier 2 job and if unfortunately she doesn’t then I will have to switch to do my own masters so we can extend our stay in the country.

Then the uk government announced the new carer visa (6145) and I decided to give it a try. Thanks to nairaland, I used the “uktiersponsors” website to search and filter out care homes and domiciliary care agencies that just got their sponsorship license and I was able to land several interviews because I was already working in the sector as a support worker. Las las I landed two job offers and I picked this one that I currently work with. I have been working here for over a month now, first salary don drop sef. Didn’t have to wait for visa to come out since I’m in the country already.

Interview Date: 17/03/2022
Offer Letter: 04/04/2022
CoS Assigned: 13/04/2022
Visa Application: 14/04/2022
Biometric: 09/05/2022
Visa Decision: 30/05/2022

It’s a 3 years CoS, though my offer letter says it’s a 5 year contract. I used Ecctis as English language requirement and my employer ticked the maintenance section.
Hello, can you please check your dm. I sent a message to you. Thanks.

I tot since your there already, Shou be easier na.
It is not as easy as one thinks. Most of the care homes I have applied to are not sponsoring carers. The few that are sponsoring are interested in only female carers.

Use this site to check and compare broadbands in ur area https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/ the strength of the broadband in your area will help make informed decision

If you are good with paper work and administrative duties then you can open ur own limited company to gather paper works for tax purpose. While umbrella company will take care of those.

Also, if you open your own company, it can be used for other contracts or side gigs.
Can you please advise and point me in the right direction in registering my own company here in the UK

If you suspect your meter is faulty, your supplier is required to test the meter ...........

A previous resident, could have tempered with the meter, leading you into this payback/clawback schedule.........

On the other hand, you use electricity for everything (cooking, washing, drying, heating, devices) etc etc

Are your devices graded A or G .......... cheesy

If you use, you must pay o ...... No be Nigeria (they would take you to court, and seek redress)....... grin

The start of defaults & CCJ's ......... tongue
I write them or maybe an ombudsmen to independently access the meter. I am suspecting it might have been tempered with.

call them and then change to fixed direct debit. Alternatively, you can ditch them and look for another energy company and do fixed direct debit, it shouldn't be more than $130 per month. You need to also factor in the tariff hike in April
Thanks I 've already initiated the process with edf and it will commence on the 20th of February. It's sorting out the outrageous bill that is my challenge now.
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by aragbaboy: 10:46am On Feb 06, 2022
I am having a challenge with my electricity supplier due to the bills am getting. I live in a 2 bedroom flat and I used electricity for everything including heating. My first and second bill are over £300 monthly and I 've told the electricity supplier am not paying it because it's outrageous. My boiler is on auto so we used heating for only 11 hours a day especially at night when we are back from school and work. We 've checked the meter and it records I consumed about 1,000 kWh in a month. The funny thing is that the heating is only on in the sitting room and one of the bedroom. Me and the kids sleep in one room in order to reduce cost of heating.
I have already switched to edf on a fixed rate which we come into effect as from the 20th of this month.
Please anybody with experience should let me know if it's ok to consume that much kWh in a month and what's the process with sorting out a faulty meter which am suspecting?
